[Blind-Computing] openbook help?

2013-05-13 Thread adam morris

Hi all,

I have a doc file that I wish to convert to audio.

I open the file in openbook.
go through the menu to where it says convert to audio.
I then get a message saying it was unsucessful.

No other error is given.

What have I done wrong or missed?

Which version of Openbook?

Also, there are other settings in openbook to set too, like how many files, how
many pages per file, what audio quality.

The voice and speed in use on the open file at the time that you set the
conversion settings, is the voice and speed that will be used.

[Blind-Computing] Openbook help

2012-05-02 Thread stootle
Sorry if this is off topic. I have Openbook 8 that I'm trying to put on
a windows7 system with 64 bit. I get to where it is installing the
freedom import printer which it says is not supported by my windows
operation system. What can I do to bypass this part but have the rest of
openbook working properly?

Hi Stancil,

You have to contact Freedom Scientific so they can send you OpenBook 8 for a
64 bit system That's what I did for my Windows7 64 bit system. If I
remember correctly, you have to pay for shipping, I forget how much that
was. Freedom Scientific can be contacted at the phone number below.

Phone: 1-800-444-4443

You can also subscribe to an OpenBook list with the email link below.

Click on the link above, put, subscribe, in the subject line, put nothing in
the message field, send.

Hope this helps. Take care.
