In windows xp in the task bar properties which of the two should be checked off 
block the task bar or auto hide the task bar?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Anna,

The first 1 is, Lock the Taskbar,  this 1 should be checked.  The next 1, 
Auto hide the Taskbar, should be unchecked.  Hope this helps.  Take care.

Do the following to get taskbar:
1. Press alt+M  to reach desktop.
2. Press tab twice, then you will here [Taskbar button].
3. You can navigate  on the taskbar by  left and right arrow.
4. For activating the desire item just press the spacebar or enter.
5. If you want to close a  application you can do so by pressing
application key and clicking  on close option  without activating the
application.

The easiest way would be to do Windows Key + M to put you on the desktop
then tab twice and you will be on the taskbar - if you tab again you will be
in the system tray and it will then cycle through - start button - task bar
- system tray - desktop.

Hi,
I went into the task barand start menue properties and notice under customize 
when I enter it some programs that were there before are not now .
does any one know how I can get them back on the task bar?
it had windows update 0%
and something else I do not remember
most of the things are on it except for that one.
so if there is anyone out there that can help me put it back in the customize 
start menue it will be greatly appreciated anna

The windows update thing will not show up unless there is an update to
install. Also that will only happen if you have automatic updates chosen. I
am not sure about the other one being you do not know what it is.
