I've never found anything at the local stores which works well restoring the black. Any experience with the product offered by BAVAuto.com (can't remember the name) or the products at classictrimcoat.com? -Gary 85 BMW 325e//78 Spitfire 1500 ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Aug 2006 17:39:48 -0400 (GMT-04:00) From: Maverick <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com Subject: Re: Black Trim Restoration Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have used forever black and it does pretty good, especially if you wait until it is good and dry and follow it up with some 303. I've used Mothers's "Back-to-Black" with pretty good results. It lasts for 3 months or so. Agreed. I've used Forever Black and it works really well, of course it's more like a die and it comes in a liquid shoe polish bottle so I'm not so sure it isn't re-labelled shoe polish. ;-P I bought mine from BMP I believe. -Carlos 98 M3 front bumper lip restored using F.B. 89 325i front bumper trim restored using F.B. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I purchased the two and the piece over the glove box is a darker color whereas the shift surround is a much lighter (redder) shade. Is this normal? I also didn't realize that the surround is really plastic. Is the wood a very thin veneer? -Kevin ---------------------------------------------------------------- This e-mail communication is confidential and is intended only for the individual(s) or entity named above and others who have been specifically authorized to receive it.
