Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To date, we've had a 98 528i that lost it's power steering pulley, broke in 3. Pulley had obvious signs of distress from being dropped or worse, and it failed about 4 minutes after being removed, and re-installed. We've also seen some M52/M54 alternator idler and tensioner pulleys that have come in with the belt running directly on the bearing, after the plastic wheel has disappeared. We see a lot of cars, so these few failures that we have seen are showing the problem to be very rare.
