When I put this up on the digest a coupla weeks ago there were several

Car: 1987 325(e) 222xxx miles

Recent oil change 7 days ago.

Engine oil check light came on last night near the end of a 60 mile drive. I 
restarted the car and the light was off initially, but then came on in about a 
quarter mile of driving. I found a flat area to check oil. (This is Seattle 
after all.) Oil level was fine. There was no evidence of a leak at the filter 
or drain plug. I'm assuming the sensor may be faulty. Haven't had the 
opportunity to check things out further at this point.
Any ideas?
