Current Events And Historical Perspective
How many prominent defections from an administration does it take before the leadership gets the picture? Not a riddle actually, but in light of the numerous defections from this administrations fold over the last year or so, I wonder if there is a comparable historical parallel. Has an administration undergone similar circumstance and later been proven correct (as in the direction taken)? xponent The Long View Back Maru rob ___ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l

I'm guessing it has to do with when they were trying to light lamps in the temple and they didn't have much oil, but what they had lasted 8 days, and then Hanukkah was created to celebrate this. New Lost in Space series...
Nothing in the IMDB yet, but the below website appears to be current. - Gary The Robinson clan is headed back into deep space. The WB Network has given a pilot order to a remake of the fantasy-adventure drama Lost in Space, which ran on CBS from 1965-68. Feature filmmaker John Woo (Mission: Impossible 2) is on board as an executive producer and direct the pilot. The new model Space, to be set in the year 2097, will hew closely to its progenitor by following the adventures of the Robinson family and their loyal robot sidekick. In the original series, Guy Williams and June Lockhart played the heads of a family of three who set out on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet only to find themselves hopelessly lost in space after the controls of the spacecraft are sabotaged by a nefarious scientist who inadvertently winds up going along for the ride. Also executive producing will be Jon Jashni and Kevin Burns, whose Synthesis Entertainment banner was formed in 2001 to overseerevivals of the many TV and film properties controlled by Allen's estate. Malkovich joins THGTTG
http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=4313 John Malkovich is joining The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Disney adaptation of the Douglas Adams novel, says The Hollywood Reporter. The film begins shooting this month in London, with Garth Jennings at the directing. Malkovich will play a religious cult leader called Humma Kavula, created by the late author especially for the long-gestating film. Mos Def plays Ford Prefect, an undercover alien who sets off on an intergalactic journey with his best friend and the film's protagonist, earthling Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman). The duo hitch a ride through space -- with the two-headed ex-hippie Zaphod (Sam Rockwell); his girlfriend, the beautiful scientist Trillion (Zooey Deschanel); and a robot -- to discover the meaning of life. ** Firming up nicely! xponent All Encompassing Maru rob ___ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
