Re: Windows 7
I think we could say, therefore, that it runs on Windows in the same way as it does on Vista and XP, which I run. I'd guess the long uninstall time is more of an issue for the development team, who need to keep up to date with the latest version, than it is for the general user. I have experience of other programs that take as long. -- Phil Holmes Bug Squad James Lowe james.l...@datacore.com wrote in message news:ee5ed9503d57144e895fa3d7533e9fd3ea2...@mail2... Phil, http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/web/windows ? Can you define what 'fine' means? I recently uninstalled 2.13.21 and it took the same 'age' it normally does. I.e. it seems to delete every single installed file one at a time instead of just removing the top level dirs (you can see this if you watch the uninstaller). I only use Windows 7 and have done since 2.12.latest and all through up to 2.13.10 builds and this has always been a problem (5-10 minute uninstall). I have recently installed 2.13.23 but have not yet uninstalled it (I am at home and I use Mac here). http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=837 I hadn't seen anyone had updated this, so assumed it was still an issue. I know there's an issue report to get rid of claimed support for ME and NT (http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=809) and I think Windows 7 should be added to replace them. That issue is about the new website. Cheers, - Graham ___ bug-lilypond mailing list bug-lilypond@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond

Re: Windows 7
I believe that Phil is looking at the old, unsupported, website. It hasn't been significantly updated in literally years, so I'm certain that it doesn't list windows 7. I doubt that anybody is going to change that -- I'm certainly not going to push any patches for that branch. The time would be much better spent getting the new website out. If the new website fails to list windows 7 anywhere, then we should obviously fix that, but I think the only place we spell out exact names is on the windows download page, and that already includes windows 7. I don't think we need to take any more action for this report.
