We anticipate that may organizations will clean up the areas that they use and enjoy. The following organizations have participated in the past to clean their areas of interest: Stewart Park – Cascadilla Boat Club, Ithaca Motion Picture Project, Friends of Stewart Park Fuertes Bird Sanctuary and Lighthouse Woods – Cayuga Bird Club Newman Golf Course – Friends of Newman Farmers Market – Market board and merchant College Boathouse area – Cornell and Ithacacollege crew teams Inlet Island area – Waterfront District Association Cass Park– Waterfront Trail volunteers Treman State Marine Park– TCDOG We will also be requesting the participation of volunteers from Cornell, IthacaCollegeand the community. I had a Caroline wren on a suet feeder this morning, a happy occasion. I am not sure I have ever seen one in the winter before: brilliant, beautiful coloring against the snow.
