[cayugabirds-l] Robins
I just stepped outside to the chittering sound of American Robins - a huge flock of some 200+ birds! They are feeding on multiflora rose and buckthorn berries. I always thought that buckthorn was the fruit of last resort, passed over by our winter birds and available for the early spring arrivals (like robins!). Anyway, for all those who used to think that robins all went south in the fall and who eagerly awaited their return in the spring - no more!! With the robins is a lone Cedar Waxwing. (And no grosbeaks.)
