Good morning! I just spent a very enjoyable 2 hours birding around our 5 acres, mostly on the front 1/2 acre. Lots of activity today with a constant parade of new birds showing up. The most impressive for me was a mixed group of GOLDEN CROWNED and RUBY CROWNED KINGLETS. I reported 5 and 4 of each, respectively, but I think that is an underestimate. They stayed around feeding low in white pines for at least 1/2 hour. The warblers kind of trickled through which kept it very interesting. First of the year birds included the two WINTER WRENS and the SWAINSON'S THRUSH.
