Fixed, I realized I can specify the php executable in the systemd unit.

If you want it in the terminal with php72 then switch to that context with
(temporarily for this session):

scl enable rh-php72 bash

if I am syntactically wrong about the collection name check it with

scl --list

I have that already but that only applies to new terminal sessions. The current
issue is that systemd does not seem to pick up a global configuration of using
php72 rather than the default php54.

See https://access.redhat.com/solutions/527703

I do not known what exactly you are trying but
for scripts you could pass the php binary with
full path or use a shebang like

#!/opt/rh/rh-php72/root/usr/bin/php

Depending on the complexity of your needs, you might not need dedicated
accounting software.

I own and operate a small business (movie theatre). I do all of my accounting
on a spreadsheet. Today I use Libreoffice, when I opened my theatre I used
Microsoft Multiplan.

I print out my revenue and expenses pages for my accountant at the end of the
year and he's happy with that. When I need to generate an actual invoice
(fairly rare as my theatre is almost entirely a cash business) I make it up
with Libreoffice as well. I have an invoice template saved that I use for that
purpose.

+1 to the above, can only re-iterate, if you need your accounts to be
auditable, and can't get your head round accountancy software, then
provide the information in any readable form to your accountant and let
them deal with it.

If you don't need them to be auditable, or you are an accountant, then
just learn how to use whatever accountancy software do it, and don't let
an emotional belief in to what operating system you use take control
over what choices you have in this regard.

[CentOS] NetworkManager, Centos 8, Ipv6 Prefix Delegation

2020-06-23 Thread Joe

Hello,

i try to use (Centos8) NetworkManager builtin Prefix-Delegation for
ipv6. Unfortunately i found no howto is helping me.

i do:

/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf:

[main]
dhcp=dhclient

Modify Cons:

nmcli con modify LOKAL1 ipv6.method shared
nmcli con modify LOKAL2 ipv6.method shared
nmcli con modify WAN_TK ipv6.method dhcp

Before these modifications i got over pppoe the public ipv6. Now only ipv4.

These steps are right/necassary.

I see in logs these message:

NetworkManager[5204]:   [1592929660.5084] device (enp6s0.7.wan):
failure to start DHCPv6: missing MAC address

What is todo?

Thanks a lot.

I have that already but that only applies to new terminal sessions. The current
issue is that systemd does not seem to pick up a global configuration of using
php72 rather than the default php54.

I have googled without finding the answer but how do I make sure /all/

there must be a better way than overwriting /usr/bin/php. What have I

Thank you.

If you want it in the terminal with php72 then switch to that context
with (temporarily for this session):

scl enable rh-php72 bash

if I am syntactically wrong about the collection name check it with

scl --list

Thanks Leon! As usually I can tell myself: you learn something every day.

I have an accountant, but still need todo my part from the business'

keeps me stuck in Windows land.

It's just as well saying I cannot drive a car cause I don't want to
learn how to overhaul the engine, or I cannot be a system admin cause
I don't want to learn how the electronics on the PC boards work.

What type of ipset did you create, perhaps hash:ip where individual
addresses are listed? If so, consider switching to hash:net which
uses CIDR style entries. Individual addresses become 1.2.3.4/32
but blocks can be included with a single entry. My ipset has about
40,000 entries, but covers millions of IP addresses.

If you do switch look on the net for a program called "cidrmerge".
It takes a list of IP addresses and CIDR networks, sorts them
and merges multiple entries into a single network where possible.

Re: [CentOS] Wrong version of php

2020-06-23 Thread Leon Fauster via CentOS

Am 22.06.20 um 22:27 schrieb H:

It's been a while since I updated to php72 on this machine and there is some
setting I must have forgotten. Apache, root and a user automatically get php72
when I run php in a terminal window, however, a php script picks up the wrong
version of php, ie php54 and the version of php in /usr/bin/php is indeed
version 5.4.

I have googled without finding the answer but how do I make sure /all/
processes use php72 rather than the default 54 in CentOS 7? Surely there must
be a better way than overwriting /usr/bin/php. What have I forgotten to do?

Thank you.

If you want it in the terminal with php72 then switch to that context
with (temporarily for this session):

scl enable rh-php72 bash

if I am syntactically wrong about the collection name check it with

scl --list
