There hasn't been a new package since Oct. 2008. More recent ones can be found in Farkas' repo at http://www.lfarkas.org/linux/packages/centos/ , but he also does not have the one for the most recent kernel. Yes, I successfully use cmake-2.6.4-7.el5 from the atrpms.net repository. Have a look at atrpms.net for getting the file. For me it worked out of the box on a CentOS 5.3 x86_64.
