I am on an old version of Cent OS, and not able to use yum to update the
packages. Any way to build php-cgi executable from the php source code?

doesn;t generate the php-cgi though.

 If you need newer than php 5.1.x you can start with the current Fedora
 src.rpm - all the build dependencies are in EPEL.

Sorry to bother, but everytime I want to compile a program (Mplayer, 
avidemux2), I have an error:

./configure
-bash: ./configure: No such file or directory

I have the development tools installed, libs, x11 libs, etc... I 
recently formated and upgrade my PC with Centos 5, (I had centos 4 before).

Did I overlook something??
