Russ thanks for your reply on open bluedragon, it certainly seems very
intriguing, do you run on this? and if so are there any downsides, or
advantages, over directly buying a CF9 Standard license?

thanks

Re: CF Standard License

2011-09-24 Thread Russ Michaels

All the alternatives have their advantages and disadvantages.
Well the obvious advantage is that they are FREE.
you wont get the proprietary features that are Trademarks of Adobe,
but both Railo and OpenBlueDragon have their own unique features that
CF doesn't have as well.

The best test is to try both and see if your app works on them without
issue, and then look at their unique features.

I got mine on Ebay. New in box. Saved me a few hundred $. I would also take
a look at pricewatch.com

But as always caveat emptor.

No, that's incorrect.

You can buy licenses through Adobe or any of their resellers, of which
you have general such as Amazon, or dedicated such as ourselves (Fuzzy
Orange).

Any licensed reseller can resell it. We do, for example. But for a $1k
product with no services attached to it, you're not going to see much
price elasticity.
