RE: ColdFusion 10 - Web Service Proxy User Domain

2013-03-11 Thread Bill Franklin

So does that still work for Active Directory domains?

e.g. ad/username = username@ad

I ask because it isn't working either.

Use the other form of the domain username: usern...@domain.com

That should work.

Coldfusion as Windows Service Throwing 500 Errors

2011-10-11 Thread Carl Von Stetten

My backup ColdFusion Standard server, which runs on 32-bit Windows 2003, just
started throwing 500 errors with the following stacktrace displayed:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at
jrun.servlet.JRunRequestDispatcher.invoke(JRunRequestDispatcher.java:285)
at
jrun.servlet.ServletEngineService.dispatch(ServletEngineService.java:543)

at
jrunx.scheduler.ThreadPool$UpstreamMetrics.invokeRunnable(ThreadPool.java:266)
at jrunx.scheduler.WorkerThread.run(WorkerThread.java:66)

Not only does this show on all of my websites hosted on this box, but it also
shows in CF Administrator. ColdFusion runs as a Windows service. This box ran
fine until a reboot today (accumulated Windows updates necessitated a reboot,
as well as installation of .Net framework 3.5).

The weird thing is that if I start ColdFusion from the command prompt (using
the cfstart.bat file), everything works fine and I get no 500 errors.

I don't even know where to begin trying to figure this one out. If it helps,
I'm using IIS for the webserver. I tried running the Web Server Connector Tool
to disconnect and reconnect the CF connector.

Any ideas?

If it runs fine as an application started using your Windows account,
but doesn't start as a service using a generic security context (Local
System, Network System, etc) or a specific user account, maybe the
problem is with the user account. Try running the service using your

ColdFusion crashing on service-specific error code 2

2005-12-09 Thread Don
I have CF 7.01 Developer Edition running my laptop. Windows XP. Yesterday
as I was preparing for a demo, my version of CF just stopped. It threw the
error service-specific error code 2. I rebooted. Still didn't work. I
checked the error log, and it showed such crashes going back to 12/6/05. I
have successfully run code this week. Most importantly, a lot of the
fixes for this error discuss changes that must have been made to the JVM.
I have not customized the installation on this laptop and the dates on the
files were from July when I installed CF originally. The only changes I
could find are from the CF 7.01 updater which I installed and was working
around Thanksgiving. I uninstalled and reinstalled CF7 on this box using
completely standard directories- still broken. I created a new IIS server
on this box- still broken. Has anyone dealt with this error? Particularly
after the 7.01 updater?

The last thing I have time to do is go through my JVM that were modified by
the updater. My next step is to review all those settings.

The only other oddity is that ActivPDF webgrabber is also bombing out.

I tried this command:
c:\cfusionmx7\runtime\bin, using:jrunsvc.exe -starttimeout 900 ColdFusion
MX 7 Application Server
and even though that's the perfect location, it's saying it can't find the
file.

Could this relate to a recent MS update, particularly on directory security
or are other people seeing this after the 7.01 updater?

Any assistance is welcome on this one.

thanks,

Don
