What's the battery life of GTA04-EA while full on? standby time?

We had our open hard- and software meeting in Munich today and Nikolaus'
GTA04s were fully on for more than three hours, until we left. Maybe he can
tell how long the battery actually lasted.
As far as I understood, there is not powermanagement so far in the kernel he
uses. Performance is pretty amazing in my opinion having seen the GTA04
running in the case for the first time.

Here the same, but beneath the white screen everything work well, so I could

you might want to try to switch to illume1 - window management and neo

Once you tried illume2, you probably won't want to go back. At least in my

I am really looking forward to the upgrade of neo theme to illume2 ;-)

Is there a way to have webOS on the freerunner?

2010-04-30 Thread Lars Hennig
Hi,

as webOS seems to me as one of the best fingerfriendly UIs, I wondered if
somebody already tried to port it (s.th. similar) to the freerunner.
Are there any efforts to do so?

Of course, he best would be to put it on top of the FSO stack :-)

You can symlink that to whatever you wish (like it used to be in TangoGPS).
You are absolutely right: Of course it is much better to do it that way!
And you could still make it configurable...

Also, wget -c sometimes gives up, I think it was 10 retries.
wget -c -t0 tries the download without limit.

I downloaded an up-to-date binary OSM map and the search works now. So it

One more thing: The search only works when there is no german umlaut in the

 addressed on distro/OE level).

Yes, thats right, but that probably does not help against the stupidity of the

I picked the wrong entry for München (it was one entry with the wrong postal

My advantage was, that Golden Delicious is almost in the neighbourhood and
even better: we had two informal user meetings in Munich within a week, so
instead of relying on Hermes I could hand over the freerunner directly and
receive it back the same way.

The service is really first class (As Jeffrey wrote: This is my opinion as

 opkg-dbg - 0.1.6+svnr215-r4 - Opkg Package Manager
 opkg-dev - 0.1.6+svnr215-r4 - Opkg Package Manager

As you can see opkg reports that e.g. opkg is installed twice. Also
 list_upgradable marks this package upgradeable:

 r...@om-gta02:~# opkg list_upgradable | grep opkg
 libopkg0 - 0.1.6+svnr215-r2 - 0.1.6+svnr215-r4
 opkg - 0.1.6+svnr215-r2 - 0.1.6+svnr215-r4

opkg is not installed twice: It's installed once and one newer version is
availlable in the repository. To list the installed packages run

opkg list_installed | grep opkg

Even if I tried to exchange the illume keyboard with a dummy skript, the

The only thing you can do, seems to be waiting for a fix in enlightenment.

Are there plans to implement something like a full text index like in OpenZim?
