Re: [Computer-go] TAAI 2012 Computer Go Tournaments
Dear all, The 9x9 tournament has integer komi; that line is the same for all sizes. BTW I think the KGS superko rule shouldn't be a problem in this type of tournament (round-robin). When such a situation occurs the game simply ends due to a repetition / 'illegal' move. Since play doesn't have to continue the tournament organizers can just assign the correct result. The superko will use Chinese rule on KGS. Any info on registration fee's, does one have to attend the congress, etc.? There will be no registration fee, so there will be no trophy. The tournament will play on KGS, so the operator doesn't need to attend the congress. We might add more pro go players to play with top 19x19 bots. Byo-yomi of 10 moves in 30 seconds, or an average of 3 seconds a move seems a bit extreme.
