[Courier-imap] Building rpm for courier-authlib

Hello list,

I got problems during building an rpm for courier-authlib.

2 Problems:
SMP-MFLAGS
make: *** No rule to make target `%{_smp_mflags}'.  Stop.
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.26165 (%build)

I found the smp_mflags in the file courier-authlib.spec
%build
%{__make} %{_smp_mflags}

Changing to 
%{__make}
brought the second error:
RPM build errors:
File not found by glob:
/var/tmp/courier-authlib-0.59.1-1.fc6-root-/etc/rc.d/init.d/*

During the unnormal installation run
  ./configure --with-redhat
  make
I got no errors.

My system is an intel duo core xeon computer with redhat fedora core 6.0
x64

Any ideas?

I have just yesterday built Sam's Courier-everything-but-the-MTA (my 
chosen's forever been Postfix, this time 2.4) on 32-bit AMD FC6.

Nothing barfed so's I'd notice from out-of-the-ordinary with any of the 
umpteen (about 20) non-Sam, non-anywhere-repo stuff rpm builds 
(including Buchan Milnes' OpenLDAP latest - 2.3.34 - and Simon J. Mudd's 
2.4 Postfix of which I had to massage the spec files lightly, as well as 
k3b 1.0 CD/DVD burning stuff).

Nothing barfed with any of the 3 Courier rpms I built (of course with 
authlib).

No problems with any Courier stuff or anything that wasn't my fault and 
that I could solve almost immediately (like FC6 bugs, Google for these, 
up to a morning at a time, there's plenty of FC6 shit to Google for).

So you're running --with redhat. *DON't*. I used to aeons ago. I used to 
run the builds as root then, but I gave that up long ago. It causes 
utter shit to all kinds of sysadmin tasks and builds.

So you're running x64. On what hardware (not that that makes much 
difference)? x32 works on ours.

Hmmm ... I forgot to say that this was a definite and conscious upgrade 
from RHAS4 to FC6. Makes no difference if it were from RHAS5 or CentOS 
4,9 whatever, this was for my test site a major upgrade. With which I'm 
ridiculously happy and content. Not that there wasn't a lot of 
extraneous work to do.

Install the redhat-rpm-config package, then try again.
