2 changes for backwards compatibility
1. Restore old (before v5.0) behavior so {} on \gla line is an empty item.
2. Make default behavior of gloss splitting between pages the old
behavior; glosses do not split. Introduce a boolean parameter so that
\lingset{glossbreaking=true} allows glosses to split between pages.
