Jane Fonda Says Pro-Life People are Hypocrites

Salt Lake City, Utah -- At a recent pro-abortion event in Utah, actress
Jane Fonda said pro-life people were hypocrites on many levels. "The whole
issue of choice has nothing to do with the fetus," she said.

"Have you ever asked yourself why [pro-life people] have so much concern
for the egg while it's growing inside a woman, but so little concern for
the child once it's born? For anti-abortion activists, it seems life
begins at conception and ends at birth."

Fonda was the keynote speaker Tuesday night during the annual Utahns for
Choice dinner at the downtown DoubleTree Hotel, which was attended by
about 500 members.

Utahns for Choice since 1991 has lobbied for pro-abortion laws. The
organization mobilized 3,000 citizens to call or e-mail Utah Gov. Mike
Leavitt to push for his veto of the abstinence-only sexual education bill
that would have forbidden teaching students about abortion in the
classroom.

Fonda thanked Leavitt for vetoing the bill.

"There is no research to date to show that abstinence-only programs
prevent risky sexual behavior," she said, pointing out, "You can never
have an abortion if you're not pregnant . . . so why is it that people who
are opposed to abortion are also opposed to contraception?"

She talked about the close ties between a woman having power if she is
able to determine the sexual and reproductive aspects of her life. Denying
a woman that right, Fonda said, "is the same mind-set that opposes the
notion of women working. It's a view that doesn't reflect reality" and
ignores the concept that women are contributing members of society.

The pro-abortion U.N. conference on women at Beijing earlier this year
ratified a declaration asserting that "reproductive rights" are human
rights. But, Fonda said, the Vatican, the Muslim community and the most
conservative Republicans in the United States are opposing the measure by
turning it into an issue about abortion and the taking of rights from
parents.

She urged the audience to call congressional leaders to urge support of
the U.N. declaration.

Fonda founded the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention in
1995. In 1994 she was named goodwill ambassador for the pro-abortion U.N.
Population Fund.

U.S. Says Lockheed Broke Rules on Chinese Rockets

 By Jonathan Wright

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The State Department has charged Lockheed
Martin Corp. with 30 violations of arms export regulations, some of
which could help China improve its rockets, a letter released on Thursday
said.

A spokesman for the company, which is based in Bethesda, Maryland,
disputed the charges, saying its actions, which took place in 1994,
were reasonable and consistent with its Department of Commerce license.

The company has 30 days to formally respond to the charges, which could
lead to a fine of $15 million and restrictions on arms export
 licenses for three years.

The allegations were similar to those lodged in 1998 against
two other U.S. satellite makers, Hughes Electronics
Corp. and Loral Space Communications, which have been
under criminal investigation for possibly passing
sensitive data to China.

U.S. conservatives hostile to the Chinese government have
cited the allegations as evidence that technical
cooperation with China is a danger to U.S. national security.

In the letter, dated Tuesday and addressed to Lockheed Vice President
Richard Kirkland, the State Department's Office of Defense Trade
Controls alleged the company sent Asiasat, a Hong Kong-based satellite
company, the full version of a report on a Chinese-made
component known as a satellite perigee kick motor, including
recommendations for improving it. A kick motor fires after launch to send a
 satellite into its final orbit.

The version sent to Asiasat was nearly 50 pages long, while the
expurgated version approved for export by the Defense Department was
 about five pages, it added.

It said the full report identified flaws in Chinese testing methods, made
recommendations to improve procedures and standards, and
 identified weaknesses in test instrumentation.

The report also violated the terms of Lockheed's export license by making
comparisons between the Chinese version of the motor and U.S.
 versions, the letter said.

Lockheed did not tell the Pentagon it had provided 10 full versions to
Asiasat until the existence of those reports was recently discovered by
 the U.S. Customs Service.

``Lockheed Martin Corp. made no effort to retrieve the 10 unexpurgated
assessments or seek to learn the ultimate disposition of these
 assessments,'' the letter said.

Lockheed spokesman James Fetig said Asiasat was not a Chinese state
company at the time of the alleged violations, saying it was
two-thirds owned by a Hong Kong company.

Lockheed officials also said the company had a strict confidentiality
agreement with Asiasat that prohibited dissemination to firms or
 government entities in China.

``There is absolutely no evidence that any information that we shared
under license from Asiasat ever reached any entity in the PRC
(People's Republic of China),'' Fetig said.

But the State Department letter said Asiasat's majority shareholder was
the China International Trust and Investment Corp., a Chinese
 state-owned corporation.

``This is a dispute over the interpretation of that license. U.S. national
security was not harmed,'' Fetig said.

``This is an administrative and not a criminal proceeding and the alleged
violations are administrative in nature and not criminal,'' the
 spokesman said.

State Department spokesman James Rubin, quoted in the Washington
Post, said, ``In our view, any assistance to China that enhances its
capabilities in space launch has the potential to be applied to missile
development.''

Export control officials decided to take action ``based on the facts and the
gravity of the charges,'' Rubin said.

The letter, summarizing the events of 1994, said that after the Chinese-
made kick motors failed many times in tests Lockheed offered to
help the manufacturer, China Great Wall Industries Company, evaluate
them.

Lockheed sent U.S. specialists to visit the rocket motor factory in the
Chinese town of Hohhot in August 1994 for a test firing and
 discussions with the rocket company.

It violated its license by failing to give the U.S. government notice of the
visit 30 days in advance and by failing to ensure a Pentagon monitor
 was present, the letter said.

I used to work for a German company, based in Illuminati Bararia, which
told us that if we did not improve our productivity to German standards, we
would be replaced by the Chinese (communist slaves) who are willing to
work for a much lower pay scale.

We were told by the President of the Divison (big deal, hehe)
that this was company policy. I noticed that they (Siemens) rarely employed
people of Jewish ancestry, but they did employ many Arabs.

I guess that is in keeping with the tradition.

The Siemens building I worked in was the location that a certain movie

Well there's being a born again Christian and being practical and never

All one has to do to be a Christian is to live the way of simplicity and
to focus on the inner life and overcoming one's evil plus treating
others kindly. But first accepting Jesus as a help to reaching God. If
people think they can do it alone fine, but its a dangerous universe and
we have millions of years of inherited and past life bad habits to
transmute. I'm happy to have a leg up. I was trained as an occultist and

forever now. Praise the Lord I'm almost humble now - Prefer Mother

Once again you display your blatant inability to read and comprehend -- or perhaps a

I never said the intelligence community developed the 'date rape' drug.

"Mack White" speculated that the intelligence community is working on developing such
a drug, if they hadn't developed one already.
My comment regarding the existence of the 'date rape' drug was to point out that such
a drug HAS been developed, not a comment on
who developed it.

Although I wouldn't be surprised to find out if the spook community hadn't had a hand
in it. And the fact that it pushed a button
with YOU, agent of disinformation and provocation that you are, seems to lend validity
to the speculation... ;-)

U.S. Set To Stage Mock Terror Attacks in May
http://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/reuters2405_4419.html

WASHINGTON, April 6 (Reuters)

Sometime in May, senior U.S. officials will wake up to their worst
nightmare -- a string of terrorist attacks from coast to coast.

Fortunately, it will be only a dress rehearsal for the real thing.
Called "Topoff," the series of attacks by a fake foreign terrorist
group is aimed at testing how top officials would respond if faced by
real weapons of mass destruction.

As part of the staged attacks, actors will release mock biological
agents, chemical weapons and radiation and hack into computers,
said
Ted Macklin, director of exercises and evaluations at the Justice
Department's Office

of
State and Local Domestic Preparedness Support.

"This will give us the chance to assess in a context of a full-scale
exercise how far we have come in the training process of our first
responders and whether we need to make any midcourse
corrections," he
said in an interview with Reuters.

"This exercise is very important to allow us to assess our national
capacity and refine our approach to the threat of terrorism," he said,
adding that the scale of the exercise -- which will cost at least $3.4
million -- was unprecedented in terms of the range of attacks.

SPOOF ATTACKS MUST TAKE OFFICIALS BY SURPRISE

Macklin refuses to provide specifics since he wants to avoid giving
too much information to top officials, whom he wants to surprise
with
the carefully planned mayhem.

It has taken more than a year and the involvement of hundreds of
state
and local officials to plan the exercise that targets three venues:
Denver, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and an area outside
Washington,
D.C.

The only information to be disclosed so far is that the attacks will
take place over a period of several days between May 7 and 26. No
details will be released until then about the type of biological
agents to be used, how the process will unfold and the specific
sites
in the cities chosen.

"The exercise is characterised as 'no notice.' We need an element
of
surprise," said Macklin. People can expect to see streets blocked
off, emergency vehicles rushing to the scene and "victims" being
taken
to hospitals.

"People will see response vehicles, people may see people in
protective gear and there will be visible activity. Where, when and
what, we can't share with you, "Macklin said. But he said his
department was working hard to make sure people living in the
areas
affected knew that the events were simulated.

"People will understand that this is just an exercise, but they must
also understand that if they see things that are actual emergencies
they must

tell officials," Justice Department spokesman Doug Johnson said.

Attorney General Janet Reno and Federal Emergency Management
Director
James Lee Witt are the first officials who have lined up to take part
in the event.

SENIOR OFFICIALS LINED UP FOR EXERCISE

Macklin said he hoped senior officials from the FBI, CIA, State
Department,
Pentagon and others would also participate. After the attacks, a
report

will be filed how they responded and recommend any
improvements or
corrections needed.

"Ultimately the end game in any exercise is that once the
recommendations
are validated we can incorporate them into training programmes to
refine

those," Macklin said. If a real attack takes place during the mock
events, he said, enough resources have been set aside to deal with
it.

The exercise stems from a provision inserted in a 1998
appropriations
bill by Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire calling for
"practice operations" for a terrorist attack. His home state is one
of those chosen for the mayhem.

Critics of the exercise say it overstates the real threats facing
America and that such a broad range of attacks would be unlikely
to
happen together.

CIA director George Tenet told a Senate committee last month that
a
major threat to U.S. security came from groups such as Saudi
exile
Osama bin Laden's that were trying to acquire biological and
chemical
weapons capabilities.

Tenet said that over the next few years U.S. cities faced ballistic
missile threats from a wide variety of sources: North Korea,
probably
Iran and possibly Iraq. U.S. intelligence had identified well over 50
nations that were of concern as suppliers, conduits or potential
proliferants, he said.

The Scoop - http://www.bobharris.com/

Hi folks --

Before the column, two things:

1) I'm advised that the Wall Street Journal ran a short piece on the
George W. Bush/Poutine thingy mentioned in the last column, so the entire
mainstream media did not utterly neglect the incident. Almost, but not
quite.

2) Now that I'm up at 4 am every morning to absorb as much news as
possible before the radio show, I'm finding that there are way more things
I'd like to write about than I can possibly manage. How much would you
guys actually use hyperlinks to other news items that seem funny,
newsworthy and overlooked, or both? Obviously, it wouldn't take much
space, and it wouldn't hurt to pass the links along. However, it would
take extra time, and that's at a premium these days. My question isn't
whether it's a good idea, really... if I include the links, would you
actually use them with any significant frequency?

Here's the kind of thing I'm considering:

The Burning Issues

Last week, the Senate actually took another election-year vote on whether
to amend the Constitution to ban the burning of the American flag.

Thus, the U.S. might finally join with Iran, Libya and North Korea among
the group of nations valuing a national emblem above the freedom of the
nation itself.

The measure failed by four votes.

And so, dear friends, you and I will remain compelled to spend our daily
commutes besieged by a phalanx of drug-crazed hippies who burn flag after
flag while listening to electric guitar music and having enjoyable sex.

What a grim legacy we leave our children.

I'm being sarcastic, of course. It's my job.

The American Legion is bummed for real.

Which is strange.

Read the Flag Code sometime, and you'll see why: it turns out that the
people who most want to ban flag-burning actually burn American flags on a
regular basis.

Tell me: what's the official, state-sanctioned way of disposing of old,
worn out American flags?

That's right -- by burning them.

You don't have to believe me: the relevant passages of the federal flag
code are on the American Legion's own website, at
http://www.legion.org/flagcode.htm#disposal.

The actual public laws on the matter are Title 36 of the U.S. Code,
Chapter 10, sections 173 to 178. The lines relevant to state-sanctioned
flag-burning are section 176, paragraph K:

"The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting
emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by
burning."

It's practically mandatory to burn *every* flag when it wears out. Out of
respect.

What some people want to ban is doing the very same thing. Out of
disrespect.

That's not outlawing an action; that's merely outlawing an unpopular
thought.

That's the sort of thing you expect from Iran, Libya, and North Korea.

That's not what we should expect from America.

Difficult as it is to comprehend for people unfamiliar with opinions other
than their own, the protection of unpopular thoughts -- trusting us all to
make their own free decisions -- is what's hypothetically supposed to make
the American system better.

Brave and honorable Americans have fought and died for precisely this
reason -- to defeat regimes which were perceived as enemies precisely
*because* they outlawed certain thoughts.

You'd think the American Legion, of all people on Earth, might understand.

Besides which, come to think of it, all a protester would need to do is
claim that the flag they're burning was really, really old...

Here's an interesting long lost fact...
Forgotten Facts Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that
a fellow black named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was a fellow
Panther suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once
safely immobilized his 'friends' tortured him for hours by, among other
things, pouring boiling water on him. When they got tired of torturing
Rackley, Black Panther member Warren Kimbo took Mr. Rackley
outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was later found
floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Conn.

Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what Happened to these
Black Panthers. In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the
killers was still in jail. The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a
scholarship to Harvard. He later became an assistant dean at Eastern
Connecticut State College. Isn't that something? As a '60s radical you
can pump a bullet into someone's head, and a few years later, in the
same state, you can become an assistant college dean! Only in America!
Erica Huggins was the lady who served the Panthers by boiling the
water for Mr. Rackley's torture. Some years later Ms. Huggins was
elected to a California School Board. How in the world do you think these
killers got off so easy? Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts
of two people...
Who came to the defense of the Panthers. These two people actually
went so far as to shut down Yale University with demonstrations in defense
of the accused Black Panthers during their trial.
One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee.
Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a College
dean. He isn't a member of a California School Board. He is now head of the
US Justice Department's Civil Rights Division.
O.K., so who was the other Panther defender?
Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member?
Is this other Panther apologist now an assistant college dean?
No... Neither!
The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at
Yale University at the time. She is now known as the "smartest woman in
the world." She is none other than the unofficial Democratic candidate
for the US Senate from the state of New York
our lovely First Lady, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Southern Baptist Pastors Sexually Use Sheep

Baaa.

Christian News Today has been reporting on the factual fact and truth that
Southern Baptists Leadership in America

1) Sexually use their sheep in their churches

2) Pretend to love everybody but think everyone is cultist except themselves
who alone have the truth while they deny the truth

3) Are Bigoted, anti-Catholic and segregationists

4) Are Savage wolves who rob, rape and use their own sheep

5) Are not financially accountable and are complete thieves and totally
dishonest

- Southern Baptist pastors sexually use their sheep in their churches. On Nov
8, 1999 the Southern Baptists in Texas admitted that at least 10 percent of
their pastors sexual use their sheep. Phil Strickland, director of the
Southern Baptist convention's Christian Life Commission, said research shows
that 10 percent to 12 percent of "ministers of all faith groups have engaged
in extramarital sexual relations with members of their congregations." He
said that, according to the American Association of Pastoral Counselors,
about 15 percent of ministers violate sexual ethical boundaries. He said his
office receives calls nearly every couple of weeks reported the Dallas
Morning News

"We have a deep concern about the way this issue is treated in many Baptist
churches," he said. "We have run into instance after instance in which there
has been a clear sexual abuse by a minister, and the response of the church
has been to sweep it under the rug." And for the first time in the
convention's history, ministers were urged to sign a covenant of sexual
ethics.
Christianity Today, which was founded by Billy Graham, did not report on one
of its own pastors Ollin Collins of Harvest Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's board chairman. A man who
resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations when he was accused of having
sexual relationships with two women who sought counseling.

But it did report about the adultery of a black man and a National Baptist
but not about the adultery of a white man and Southern Baptist. An adultery
which was more hideous and gross because Collins raped unsuspecting trusting
women while, Lyons adulterous relationships were consensual. It has been said
that Lyons will go down in the history books as "Hugh Hefner of the New
Testament."

Now concerning the fallen hero, the church had suspended Pastor Collins with
pay pending an investigation. He resigned from his board position Sept. 6,
one day after a story in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported the women's
allegations and their intent to sue. Southwestern is the world's largest
evangelical seminary, with 3,000 students on eight campuses.

But of course neither the Seminary nor the Church did nothing for the real
female victims but they did help and console the aggressor? Just like Billy
Graham stated about Bill Clinton "I forgive him . . . because I know the
frailty of human nature, and especially a strong, vigorous young man like he
is. "He has such a tremendous personality that I think the ladies just go
wild over him."
Of course Bill Clinton was the victim and not the victimizer and it was the
fault of the ladies who went wild about him? No compassion or concern from
these Southern Baptist wolves in sheep's clothing for the victims but only
for the victimizers? Their deeds and lack of compassion for the victims
speaks volumes of their hypocrisy?

- It is a fact that for over a half of century all across America,
Fundamental Evangelical Southern Baptists have thrown out of their churches
those who spoke in tongues or were charismatic Christians while pretending to
be Christians and loving everybody. They have labeled all those who do not
believe and think as they do as cultist.

Southern Baptist generally believe that the Charismatic movement is of the
devil and play with words but in reality do not accept others whose religious
experience is different from theirs. For example the Florida Southern Baptist
Convention has on its books a resolution that no "tongue speaker" or
Charismatic Christian could be a member of a Baptist Church in Florida. The pa
stors of Idlewild Baptist Church, the largest Southern Baptist Church in
Tampa, Florida can often be heard berating and verbally abusing those who
speak in tongues and believe in the Baptism of the Spirit, forcing them to
leave the church.

In Oct. 1998, the Webster County Baptist Association voted to "disfellowship"
Calvary Baptist Church in Marshfield, Mo., because its pastors and many of
its members received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and where "slain in the
Spirit." Openly demonstrating their bigotry and intolerance of those whose
religious experience was the same as Apostle Paul about whom the bible

Crypto Regs Challenged Again
by Declan McCullagh
4:00 p.m. Apr. 4, 2000 PDT

Privacy advocates won a preliminary victory when for the second time a
federal appeals court questioned restrictions on data-scrambling encryption
software.
The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals suggested Monday that President Clinton's
restrictions on distributing encryption products might be unconstitutional.

"Because computer source code is an expressive means for the exchange of
information and ideas about computer programming, we hold that it is
protected by the First Amendment," a three-judge panel said in a unanimous 17K
B decision.

That decision reversed a July 1998 ruling by a federal district court.

And while the panel did not strike down the Clinton administration's
regulations, it did refer the matter back to U.S. District Judge James Gwin
for another hearing. Earlier Gwin had ruled the First Amendment did not
apply.

The Justice Department says source code is akin to instructions for a
machine, and rules governing its distribution are necessary for national
security reasons.

Now that the appeals court has ruled source code is protected by the First
Amendment, the government will have a much tougher time arguing it should
have the power to imprison a law professor for posting a book on his website.

Peter Junger, a professor at Case Western University School of Law, sued the
federal government after it told him he needed a license to post a chapter of
his Computers and the Law textbook online.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which represents Junger, applauded the
ruling.

"This is a great day for programmers, computer scientists and all Americans
who believe that privacy and intellectual freedom should be free from
government control," said ACLU Legal Director Raymond Vasvari.

In a separate case that also challenges the criminal penalties the U.S.
government imposes for unauthorized encryption distribution, the 9th U.S.
Circuit Court of Appeals in May 1999 ruled that encryption source code was
speech protected by the First Amendment.

"We conclude that the challenged regulations allow the government to restrain
speech indefinitely with no clear criteria for review," the 9th Circuit panel
said in its decision in a case brought by math professor Daniel Bernstein.

But it's not clear what happens next in either the Junger or Bernstein cases.
The Clinton administration relaxed the regulations in January, and the move
is likely to delay both lawsuits for some time.

In fact, the Commerce Department, which administers the regulations, says
that Bernstein no longer has anything to worry about.

"You ask for an advisory opinion in light of your concern that the new
regulations 'continue to interfere with Professor Bernstein's planned
scientific activities.' Your concerns are unfounded," a Commerce Department
Bureau of Export Administration official wrote to Bernstein's lawyers in
February.

Bernstein asked in March for a rehearing by the district court to take into
account the regulation changes.

Dear David:

Naturally, the Nazi's for their purposes would say that they had the pope
on thier side. But it is well for you to know that the Nazi's made con-
cessions too. The Catholic Church has made concordants long before the
Reformation. You seem to have no understanding what concordants are all
about. The Catholic Church is not a democracy and it never was.

About the photo of Pius X11 gathered with sinners; gee I wish I had some
photos of Jesus eating and drinking with sinners, examples: what for did
did he spare the women caught in adultry; push himself on to Zackees to
get a free meal and he. a crooked tax collector? It's in the Bible! He
ate and drank with sinners.

You continue with anti-Catholic opinions. I do think it would be well
for you to be on the anti-abortion side. Abortion is the cesspool of
much of the evil in the world. A far geater holocaust than the 12 mill-
ion innocent wictims of the holcaust.

And Pius did have to consider all, not just the Jews or the Catholics
when as country of 95 acres and completely surrounded by the Nazis, when
he made some difficult decisions.

Again as Hitler said, "when you lie tell big lies". I have heard it said
if you hear something enough you will believe it. And figures don't lie
but liars sure can figure.

Remember the "commandments" on the barn in Amimal Farm? Is this a good
example of historical revisionism? Remember Napoleon the hero of Manor
Farm. After awhile he wasn't so heroic was he? And the sheep! Ba, ba,
ba; the other animals heard them until they believed. The sheep were
the media and the dogs were the justice department.

David, you have brought this Pius X11 matter out into the open. It is
time for a look at the true picture of Pius's part in those terrible
times.

It does seem improbable that the Vatican, whose kingdom is 99% not of
this world has global temporal ambiions. "How many divisions does the
Pope have"? Now Stalin knows what he always knew. Zero.

Sincerely,

Don Huffman

Re: [CTRL] Pope Most Important Socialist in the World Says Gorbachev

2000-04-07 Thread Jim Condit Jr

While
some of us Catholics believe John Paul II is an illegally elected false pope,
like John Paul I, Paul VI, and John XXIII before him --- Joseph Siri having been
elected in 1958, and then suppressed -- at which point the top echelons of
Judeo-Masonry took over the Vatican -- I am responding to the picture presented
here of the future Pope Pius XII (who reigned from 1939 until Siri's election in
1958 -- at which point the bogus anti-Popes took over). Believe it or not, very
few had the Rothschild-Nazi-Zionist game plan in their pockets at that point to
know that the Nazis had been chosen to perpetrate selected managed round ups and
massacres -- with the cooperation of top Zionists worldwide, and with the
cooperating silence of the Big Newsmedia, like the New York Times, dominated by
so-called Zionist Jews -- to scare everyday Jews to leave Europe and get
down to the sands in Palestine as prelude to the takeover of that territory in
1948.

So
pretending like there's something sinister about Pope Pius XII meeting with the
new governmnent of Germany --- with that other Rothschild financed monster,
Communism, breathing down everyone's back -- is real anachronism. You may as
well put a modern clock in the painting of the Last Supper -- because you are
using today's knowledge to project backwards on that picture. As I've written
before, check the Jewish owned and controlled New York Times in their Christmas
day editorials of 1943 to 1945 praising Pius XII and the Catholic Church for
being the only force tostanding up to Nazism. Few could know that the New York
Times was knee deep in covering up the Zionist-Nazi collaboration, and for
strangely remaining silent about FDR's closing of the US borders to
Jews from 1933 to 1945 --- which also forced everyday Jews to flee to Israel if
they could get out of Europe. See Perfidy by Ben Hecht, and The Transfer
Agreement by Edwin Black -- both Jewish authors, both books available at
Amazon.com --

With
regard to the Roman Catholic Church being the true Church or the whore of
Babylon --- here's a test for you all: Since 1958, when I am contending
Judeo-Masonry took over the Vatican by forcing true Pope (Joseph Siri) off the
thrown, and installing fake popes John XIII (1958 to 1963), (Paul VI 1963-1978),
John Paul I (1978-1978), John Paul II, (1978-?) --- every last change has been
in the direction of Protestantism and Judaism. The changes in the structures of
the Church have been so profound, that many hundreds of Latin Mass
chapels have sprung up outside the the normal church structures to preserve th
pre-Vatican Council II (1962-1965) Roman Catholic Faith, which, we would say, is
the true Faith. Now here's the BIG QUESTION: if the Roman Catholic Church is the
whore of Babylon -- then how come it's apparant latter day moves are all in the
direction of Protestantism? Shouldn't they be in the opposite direction, if
Protestantism is true? Aha! But those who reject all religion will say -- it's
all a bunch of baloney and the historic Roman Catholic Church is collapsing
under its own corrupt weight. This school would say that the shunting aside of
Siri in 1958 is irrelevant, just another corrupt election. Well, here's what to
watch for: If the Vatican has been taken over and the true Church, faithful and
hierarchy, have been evicted from the Church's structures (as my faction
maintains) then you are going to see a most unlikely and miraculous collapse of
the fake John Paul II Church, and the impossible rise of the true
Church, with a papal line, now unknown to the world, tracing back to Pope Pius
XII and the 1958 conclave. Incidentally, I don't have any inside information on
how this might happen or who it might involve. However, just as many prophecies
of Catholic saints have predicted this counterfeit church now in
control of the Vatican, the same prophecies say that when the Church rises
again, it will be so amazing that everyone will be forced to say: The
finger of God is here. At that time all the old disciplines and ceremonies
will be restored, and all the bogus Vatican II changes will be
flushed in the blink of an eye. Jim Condit Jr.

Subject: [CTRL] Buchanan Addresses Teamsters on Eve of Anti-IMF/WTO
 Demos

 -Caveat Lector- A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/"
 /A -Cui Bono?-

PLEASE NOTE: I don't personally endorse all of Pat Buchanan's views or
support his candidacy. But it seems to me that this item will be
 of interest
to members of CTRL. Buchanan does point up the highly diverse (and rather
confusing!) nature of the Fair Trade/Anti-WTO-IMF-World Bank
 movement. IMO,
however, the movement needs a far more progressive spokesperson,
 one who is
not already identified with the racist and jingoist right-wing elements of
the Republican Party. Unfortunately, I don't think we've seen that person
emerge yet; Ralph Nader is the nearest candidate, but I'm afraid
 he carries
too much of his own baggage. (I'm still inclined to vote Green anyway in
November, unless Bush really looks as if he's going to win, in which case
I'll hold my nose and vote for Gore to keep the GOP out of the
 White House.)

On April 12, at about 10:30-11:00 AM in Washington, DC, Patrick J.
Buchanan, the likely Reform Party presidential nominee will address a
rally of about 3000 Teamsters (and anyone else who shows up!).
Buchanan, known for his opposition to globalization, will give a hard-
hitting speech detailing his stand against MFN-PNTR for China, the
IMF and the WTO. The rally will be on the Mall across from Teamstes
  Headquarters.

Come and hear his speech, all invited, and keep an open mind!

Buchanan, America's most well known supporter of fair trade, also
went to Seattle last year (mostly behind the scenes, though he made
the case against the WTO on during a dozen media interviews, praising
the peaceful protesters...later, Buchanan claimed that he dressed up
  as a turtle :).

Pat Buchanan, currently at 9% in polls (same as Ross Perot was in 96,
though what do polls know?), also believes that American should lift
the bloody (500,000 died so far) economic sanctions on Iraq, and all
countries around the globe (Bush/Gore won't do that).

Also, Buchanan was the only presidential candidate to speak out
against the imperialist Yugoslavia war (that's something Nader won't
do, I asked him today when he visited our campus),
and also promises to withdraw all US troops from Europe, including
  the Balkans if elected.

Buchanan also advocates campaign finance reform, Same Day Voting,
term limits, universal ballot access for third parties, and the
termination of lavish congressional pensions (Newt Gingrich got $4
  million once he left Congress!).

Buchanan, winning support from Reform Party members, working class
conservatives, steelworkers, independents, and even people like
Lenora Fulani...his current support consists of nearly 9 million
American voters, and Pat hopes to make an impact on any who will
  listen.

Pat Buchanan is campaigning around the country (check out
www.buchananreform.com and www.buchanan.org) meeting with Reform
Party activists and Republicans Democrats sick of the status quo.

Pat Buchanan is the AntiWar-Peace candidate, the Fair Trade
candidate, the Reform Party candidate promising real change for
  America's workers taxpayers.

So again, I hope you will come and hear Pat's exciting speech on
April 12, 11:00 AM in front of Teamsters Headquarters. Bring your
friends, and remember its important to hear all viewpoints.

  Thanks,

DIGITAL NATION

Foes of "New Economy" Gaining Voice

By Gary Chapman

Copyright 2000, The Los Angeles Times, All Rights Reserved

The baby boomers running and profiting from the "new economy" grew up in,
and were shaped by, the countercultural movements of the 1960s and '70s.
Indeed, the personal computer itself was once viewed as a "liberation"
from the boring, gray and tightly controlled kind of computing imposed by
large corporations and their mainframes.

Several notable pioneers of the PC era started out as hippies, commune
residents, meditation instructors and even campus radicals. But few if any
of these now middle-aged men understand that there's a new culture
emerging that's counter to what they've built.

The "dot-com" economy, as it rapidly matures, is setting itself up as a
big fat target for rebellion, dissent and possibly even sabotage. The
conditions are beginning to resemble what led to the blow-up of the '60s,
and if this happens again, it will be, to put it mildly, supremely ironic.

After shamelessly absorbing the rhetorical terms "revolutionary," "cool,"
"transformational" and all the rest, the new establishment of the new
economy may be in for a dose of the real thing.

There are tremors faintly tangible across the country these days.

Over the last few weeks, for example, the South of Market area in San
Francisco has been plastered with signs, put up by an anonymous guerrilla
propaganda group, that ridicule and satirize the neighborhood's
Internet-based companies.

The "KilltheDot" campaign has created slogans that are mostly obscene and
therefore can't be repeated here, but which skewer the pretensions and
silliness of "dot-com" services. The signs have proliferated around the
country through the Internet and are beginning to show up in other urban
technology centers.

Last year, we had the images of the "Battle in Seattle," the protests over
the World Trade Organization. Those events may be repeated in a few weeks
in Washington, D.C., in demonstrations against the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund. On April 14, there will be national teach-ins
on globalization in Washington, with scheduled protests by many of the
same groups that were in Seattle.

In recent weeks, 1,500 people marched in protest in Boston against
biotechnology and genetically altered foods. And 3,000 trade unionists
marched in downtown Los Angeles for higher wages and better working
conditions. Students at UCLA and other colleges are building organizations
to fight sweatshops in L.A. and overseas.

"There's more and more sense from our donor constituency that money isn't
everything, that this has gotten out of hand," says Catherine Suitor,
director of development for the Liberty Hill Foundation in Santa Monica.

Liberty Hill has sponsored donor events that address such issues as
"Raising Socially Responsible Children," and the turnout has been huge,
Suitor says.

Most of the activism in working-class neighborhoods and on college
campuses is about inequality. "It's more than just the new technology,"
Suitor says. "It's more about the divide created by the new economy." She
attributed the new restlessness to "anger at corporate power."

Jon Katz, a media critic and author of the new book "Geeks: How Two Lost
Boys Rode the Internet Out of Idaho" (Villard Books, 2000), agrees. "What
you're seeing shape up is the first big political battle of the 21st
century, between individualism and corporatism," Katz says.

Katz follows the growing numbers of young computer mavens who are loosely
allied as proponents of open source software, free expression, an open
Internet and radical individualism.

These are the young people who are increasingly challenging corporations
that are trying to lock down the Internet and secure it for commerce. The
mounting wars over intellectual property and network security are just the
beginning, Katz says.

"Corporatism is a new phenomenon, and not the same as capitalism or
corporations," he says. "It means bigness, controlling markets, mass
marketing. Companies are now bigger than ever before. They've acquired
most of our mainstream culture, and now they're moving on to the Internet.

"There's a general sense of helplessness and anger," he added. "It used to
be you could be an individual and coexist with large corporations, but now
you can't. It's the Wal-Marting of America."

Because of the homogenization of mass culture, Katz says, "the place
individuals are turning to is the Internet." That's where the battle is
being waged by young, smart, computer-savvy free-thinkers.

"These kids are the freest people on Earth. And they're mad." They don't
want to see "their" Internet absorbed into mass market culture, and they
don't want to see a corporate logo on every Web page. They're contemptuous
of how conventional political parties are dependent

Here is a list of my sins, as given in several flaming emails and club
posts, by a Southern Baptist:

1. I let my children watch Sesame Street, which "teaches pagan
religions and tolerance."

2. I "quote verses from other 'Bibles' than the KVJ." Her sig line
consists of the slogan "If it ain't KJV, it ain't Bible!" BTW, this
includes the Bible in the original languages. I asked her.

3. I defended someone who told her that Oprah has become a Christian 2
years ago. In my defense I mentioned narrow-mindedness and racial
bigotry.

Because of these "sins" I am, in her words, "of the devil and deserving
of death." My response to her was "You sound more like Hitler than
Jesus -- do you advocate killing everyone with whom you disagree?" It
scares me to think that someone so small-minded is educating the next
generation (she's home-schooling, as I am -- trust me, in her case I
think it's a big mistake).

And with that, all I can say is:

Gee, I'm sure glad I'm a cultist!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Thanks for the article, Kris

You are being fairer than you think by bringing forth the fact that the
heinous exploitation of clergy of their flock is not confined to Catho-

celbite Catholic clergy. Let us be honest and not just point out Catho-

Inquiry into "Bloody Sunday" opens in Northern Ireland
By Mike Ingram
7 April 2000
Back to screen version

On January 30 1972, British soldiers from the 1st Parachute Regiment openedfire
on a civil rights march in Londonderry (Derry) in Northern Ireland.
Thirteen demonstrators were killed on the spot and 17 others wounded, one of
whom died later in hospital.

What has gone down in history as “Bloody Sunday” is a key event in the 30-year
history of the so-called “Troubles”. Just three years after the Labour
government had sent the British army to Northern Ireland in 1969, the shootings
blew apart claims that the military were in the province to defend the Catholic
minority.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, pro-British Loyalist paramilitaries began a
campaign of sectarian assassinations of Catholics living in the six counties.
This came amidst mounting social and political unrest expressed in the
development of the mass civil rights movement protesting anti-Catholic
discrimination. These attacks, combined with increased harassment from the
largely Protestant Royal Ulster Constabulary and the British Army, contributed
to the growth of Irish nationalist movements such as the Irish Republican Army
(IRA).

In August 1971 the Northern Ireland government had introduced legislation under
the Special Powers Act, which provided for internment without trial. Mass
arrests began and by mid-January 1972 there were over 600 internees. These were
the circumstances in which 10,000 people gathered for a march on January 30
1972, organised by the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association (NICRA),
despite its having been banned by the government.

For most of the three decades since, the protests of the victims' families
against the cover-up of that tragic day's events by the British establishment
have fallen on deaf ears.

In order to secure the support of Sinn Fein for the May 1998 Good Friday
Agreement, aimed at ending paramilitary conflict in Northern Ireland, the
British government was obliged to accede to the demand for a fresh inquiry into
Bloody Sunday. In January, therefore, on the eve of the twenty-sixth
anniversary of the killings, Prime Minister Tony Blair announced an independent
judicial inquiry, to be headed by the British Law Lord, Lord Saville of
Newdigate, and two judges from Commonwealth countries.

The proceedings opened in Londonderry at the end of last month after nearly two
years of investigations. The Saville inquiry has interviewed more than 600
soldiers including senior military staff, 729 civilians, 30 journalists and
photographers, 20 government officials/politicians and 53 RUC police officers.
The proceedings could last up to two years. So far the inquiry has cost more
than £15 million—two thirds of which is for legal bills.

In announcing the inquiry, Blair made clear that its purpose was not to
identify, much less prosecute, those responsible for the killings. “Let me make
it clear that the aim of the inquiry is not to accuse individuals or
institutions, or to invite fresh recriminations, but to establish the truth
about what happened on that day, so far as that can be achieved at 26 years'
distance Our concern now is simply to establish the truth and to close this
painful chapter once and for all.”

In July 1999, the High Court rejected an appeal by the inquiry tribunal that
the identities of 17 paratroopers who fired their guns on the day of Bloody
Sunday should be revealed. Hundreds more soldiers were granted the same
anonymity in October 1999. Despite these limitations the material being
presented to the inquiry has already provided a damning indictment of Britain's
role in Northern Ireland.

Last September, the forensic scientist who carried out the original tests said
to have shown that some of the demonstrators shot by British soldiers had
handled firearms said he was wrong. John Martin acknowledged that the lead
deposits found on several of the victims' hands could have come from other
sources—including emissions from car exhausts.

Thus began the unravelling of the official whitewash of Bloody Sunday presented
in an April 1972 inquiry by Lord Widgery. According to that version, the
soldiers had shot in self-defence, having been fired on first. Widgery also
said there would have been no deaths if there had not been an “illegal march”
which had created “a highly dangerous situation”.

As the date for the new Saville inquiry drew closer, a concerted effort was
been made to conceal what really took place in Derry in 1972. In February, the
Ministry of Defence (MoD) admitted that a month earlier it had destroyed two of
the five remaining rifles used by the British army on Bloody Sunday. Of the 29
rifles that may have been fired on that day, 14 have been destroyed by the MoD.
A further 10 were sold to private

  Bob

Poor manipulated sucker. Don't you have any integrity at all?
Why on earth would you vote for Gore when you understand what a shit he is?
Don't vote. That is the only moral option if you don't have the guts to
vote for a candidate who will dismantle the New World Order. For goodness
sake give the rest of humanity a break.

Voting for a globalist candidate in these times is not that dissimilar from
the Germans who voted for Hitler. They knew what he was about, and voted for
him anyway.

Well there's being a born again Christian and being practical and never
the twain shall meet. Ted probably convinced her we are overpopulated as
he said when the Applewhite suicides occured that we had too much
 population.

I was trained as an occultist and
then faced the forces of evil and I'm staying right by my Protector
forever now. Praise the Lord I'm almost humble now - Prefer Mother

Pat Buchanan's Surprise Appeal
--David Shribman
Fortune - April 17, 2000

How much could Patrick Buchanan's defection from the Republican Party
hurt George W. Bush this fall? Conventional wisdom says he could deny
Bush the White House in a close race.

In fact, if the race is close, Al Gore may be his victim. Buchanan's social-
conservative message will siphon some votes away from Bush. But
Buchanan advisers now believe Bush's cozy relationship with Jerry Falwell
and Pat Robertson makes the Christian right slim pickings for their
candidate.

They think there's more fertile ground among Democrats skeptical of Gore's
brand of liberalism and worried that his trade views, especially on China,
will
imperil jobs. Says Buchanan: "The jobs we're talking about aren't held by
country-club Republicans."

Buchanan will likely focus his campaign on Democratic enclaves in Ohio,
Michigan, and Pennsylvania. "We're going right after Democratic voters--and
right after Al Gore," says Buchanan.

If he wins the Reform Party nomination, he will have $ 12 million to spend
and likely will direct it toward an ad blitz in the month before election
day.
"Giving Pat $ 12 million is like giving $ 25 million to another candidate,"
says
consultant Greg Mueller. "He's good at stretching dough."

000545. CSAF focuses on people as EAF evolves

by Staff Sgt. Brian Orban
35th Fighter Wing Public Affairs

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan (AFPN) -- The Air Force's Expeditionary Aerospace
Force continues to improve as it evolves into the service's new way of doing
business according to the Air Force's senior military leader.

During a recent visit here, Gen. Michael E. Ryan, Air Force chief of staff,
said the service has not seen any major glitches in the plan since the first
aerospace expeditionary force teams deployed in October 1999.

In late February, more than 270 pilots, maintenance troops and support
people as well as eight F-16CJ jets from the 13th Fighter Squadron left here
to fulfill the Air Force's deployment requirements as part of AEF 5.

The 13th and its team of combat support members and equipment joined other
fighter, bomber, transport and support units to patrol the "no-fly" zone
over southern Iraq as part of Operation Southern Watch. Another team from
the 14th Fighter Squadron is scheduled to leave the base this summer as part
of AEF 7.

Teamwork is the key behind the success of the EAF, Ryan said. Under the
plan, the Air Force sends a complete team to support contingency operations
vs. pulling individuals from various bases as previously done under the
former Palace Tenure program.

As the Air Force continues to fine-tune the AEF deployment plan, "every AEF
deployment should get better," the general said. Every time we rollover
AEFs, we learn ways to better prepare and take care of our people. We
should make sure the next AEF is better both in terms of how we treat our
people during their deployment and in terms of the kinds of capability they
bring."

According to Ryan, the AEF schedule offers more predictability and stability
for the lives of Air Force members. However, the service does give up
something each time it deploys as a group -- it loses the "corporate memory"
normally retained when deploying people in stages vs. all at once.

"You lose some of the continuity you normally have with people not rolling
over all at once; but we gain so much more in terms of the team effort that
goes into deploying as a group," Ryan said.

Turning to other issues, Ryan highlighted the service's priorities for its
people in the coming years. Having reformed the military's retirement
system and pay tables for service members last year, he said the Air Force
and its sister services are making improved health care one of their top
priorities in 2001.

The general said the military made a fairly smooth transition from its old
medical care program to TRICARE, but plenty of work remains.

"This year, we're going to Congress with some (proposals for) added benefits
for TRICARE ... that give us more flexibility in how we make TRICARE
payments," Ryan added. Using co-pays as an example he said "we're trying
to do away with them -- they're are really just nuisance fees. We think
that's wrong, and we want to fix it."

Meanwhile, the military's senior leaders are continuing to fight for better
pay raises for their people. The 4.1 percent across-the-board pay raise that
took affect Jan. 1, as well as the pay table reforms are just the beginning,
the general said.

The pay raises were not a "one-time shot" to make military pay comparable
with similar jobs in the civilian sector, Ryan said. "We need to continue
these pay raises, and we're very dedicated and committed to continuing (to
push for) these pay raises in the future." (Courtesy of Pacific Air Forces

Warner Robins Air Logistics Center Public Affairs

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. (AFPN) -- A hopeful omen for Robins Air Force
Base's future will land and taxi up to the parking ramp for a warm welcome
by Robins directors and employees April 12. The first of three C-17
Globemaster III transports will arrive for a 45-day analytical condition
inspection, or ACI, which leaders here hope will lead to routine depot
maintenance of the new heavy-lift transports.

David Silva, deputy director of the C-17 System Management Directorate, said
an ACI is not the same as routine depot maintenance, but will "prepare the
stage for it."

"It's a program that occurs early in the aircraft's life," he said. "It's a
visual inspection and they predetermine the areas to be inspected. They use
the information to determine future depot maintenance on it. Two more C-17s
are scheduled to arrive here for ACI by September.

The C-17 far outclasses the C-141 Starlifter it is designed to replace,
Silva said. He described it as being similar to a C-5 Galaxy in cargo
capacity, but like a C-130 Hercules in its ruggedness and ability to operate
from forward bases.

"It's a large transport in the vein of the C-5," Silva said. "It was made

THE FOUNDATION

"The legislative powers of the government reach actions only, and not
opinions." --Thomas Jefferson

__O__
FEDERALIST PERSPECTIVE

In the news this week, if you are among the majority of Americans who
now own -- directly or through various funds -- high-tech stocks,
there is more trouble on the horizon. While we are not
prognosticators of such things, and while it is highly unusual for us
to comment on equity markets, we do know that many of our readers hold
stocks, and we would be remiss if we did not now comment about recent
developments.

The Federalist Editorial Board has access to some of the smartest and
most seasoned market analysts in the world -- we're not talking about
the corner reps of big brokerage houses. Our sources estimate that
there will be additional realignment of the equities market in favor
of value stocks -- those with low price/earning (P/E) ratios -- in the
next 18-24 months. This means that the trendy high-tech stocks with
high P/E ratios -- market values far in excess of their earnings --
may soon fall out of favor.

We are certainly not investment advisors, but we do know that greed
has lost many fortunes -- large and small. Thus, holding investments,
which have already performed well, in blind anticipation of similar
future performance, can be ruinous. The next sell-off of high-tech
stocks may be faster than the sell-off earlier this week, and the
small investors who are last out will suffer the greatest losses.

How sudden can market reversals be? The Dow Jones Industrial Average
(DJIA) was at 381 in September 1929. Stock prices had risen from
conservative levels of 10 times earnings to speculative levels of 20
times earnings. On October 29, in only a few hours, the DJIA dropped
so fast that it wiped out all the previous year's gains, closing that
day at 230. The market rebounded for a period and then sank again at a
torturous pace. (Note: Many of the high-tech stocks today are trading
at 20-50 times earnings.)

Of course, there are more safeguards since that precipitous market
drop, which kicked off the Great Depression. Most significantly,
margin requirements, which were as low as 10% in 1929, are now 50%.

Those safeguards notwithstanding, in the more recent "Black Monday"
crash of October 19, 1987, the DJIA fell from 2246 to 1738 in one day
-- losing 22.6% of its total value. In the previous week, the DJIA had
fallen about 10%, giving some warning of pending trouble. By the close
of trading on October 19, 1987, U.S. equities investors had lost one
trillion dollars -- on paper. The complicating factor today is
computer day-trading, which introduces a whole new set of risks for
most Americans, who are not speculators, but are investing for
retirement. Caveat emptor!

In other news

The case of young Cuban refugee Elian Gonzalez is front and center.
The Federalist has argued repeatedly that there are no "parental
rights" under Communist dictators. This week, our assertion was
confirmed by a Cuban government spokesman, Luis Fernandez, who
announced, "He [Elian] is a possession of the Cuban government. No
other entity can remove this." The Cuban Constitution, of course,
gives the government paramount powers as to dictating how children
will be raised.

The Federalist's editorial position has been that this matter should
be remanded to the Florida state courts for a decision. This case is,
indeed, a violation of principled federalism. The national government
has overstepped a state government's authority.

Elian's father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, arrived in Washington -- four
months after his son arrived in Miami -- and said, "I hope, I
expect...that my son will be delivered to me as soon as possible, and
I would like to return with him to Cuba immediately." Of the delay,
Paul Greenberg notes, "...[A] bureaucracy doesn't get personally
involved. It doesn't ask why a father, on being told his child has
been rescued from a watery grave and given refuge, would not rush here
to claim his son, or at least hold the boy's hand after his ordeal. It
doesn't ask why a father would just wait for his son to be sent to
him, the way you'd expect a package."

The battle is now a symbolic contest between the forces of freedom and
totalitarianism. "Make no mistake, this conflict represents not a
disagreement over technical aspects of the law or judicial procedure,
but a clash of

Trading with the Enemy

By Chuck Baldwin

April 7, 2000

The full court press has already begun. President Clinton is intensely
lobbying Congress for passage of permanent Most Favored Nation trade status
and entrance into the World Trade Organization for Communist China. The
Republican leadership in Congress is also pressing for its passage. House
Speaker Dennis Hastert has promised a floor vote during the week of May 22.
He predicts "ultimate victory."

Earlier this week, President Clinton along with 42 Governors, including
G.W. Bush, and over 200 executives of hi-tech companies from Silicon Valley
conducted a major news conference aimed at convincing both recalcitrant
congressmen and the American public that permanent MFN must be adopted.

Not everyone is buying it, however. China’s most outspoken dissident, Harry
Wu, told a congressional panel last December that granting the Communist
regime permanent MFN would give it "a green light to abuse their citizens."

"Free traders" demonstrate a profound ignorance regarding the nature of
Communist-controlled governments. Communist Chinese leaders have repeatedly
threatened to incinerate American cities with nuclear missiles. Our own
Pentagon recently released a study which reveals China is making plans for
war with the United States at this very moment.

Contrary to the arguments of "free traders," increased commercial activity
with Communist China does not reduce its cruel and despotic style of
governance. Just the opposite is true. After years of "free trade" with
China, oppression and persecution against people of faith and political
dissidents is more Draconian than ever!

Can you imagine presidential candidates and congressional leaders calling
for "free trade" with Adolph Hitler? Yet, according to The Black Book of
Communism, the Communist Chinese have slaughtered at least three times more
people than Hitler’s Third Reich. The same book puts the total number of
people killed by various communist regimes worldwide at over 100 million!

Apply the "free trade" arguments to the infamous Chicago gangster, Al
Capone. Like the Butchers of Beijing, Capone came to power (and kept power)
by brute force. He controlled politicians, judges, businessmen and
policemen with an iron fist. Would anyone suggest that the way to convert
Capone would be to enter into "free trade" agreements with him? Nonsense!
Yet, the only difference between the Communist Chinese and gangsters like
Al Capone is scale. Capone operated on a local scale; the Communist Chinese
operate on a national and international scale. Both are equally corrupt and
murderous.

Additionally, there is nothing free about our "free trade" agreements with
China. According to New American magazine, "The U.S. government’s
Export-Import Bank subsidized trade with China to the tune of $5.9 billion
in 1998. The U.S. taxpayer-subsidized Asian Development Bank and World Bank
awarded $1.5 billion and $2.4 billion, respectively, in new loans to China
that same year. Without these subsidies, it is unlikely that wealthy
transnational elitists would invest in China’s risky market."

Another problem is an ever-increasing trade deficit that results from these
NAFTA, GATT, and Free Trade deals. If this year’s first quarter figures are
annualized, our trade deficit will exceed $400 billion. According to World
magazine, the United States lost more than 341,000 manufacturing jobs in
1999 alone, as a direct result of these deficits.

Phyllis Schlafly writes, "Every month, China collects up to $6 billion in
U.S. cash by selling its slave-labor products to Americans, but only buys
$1 billion worth of U.S. goods. The Chinese pocket $5 billion every month
and use it to build their military-industrial complex." This is "free
trade?"

It should be painfully obvious that both major parties have been thoroughly
corrupted by the insatiable lust for wealth and power. Human rights,
ethical government, even national security take a back seat to the powerful
passions of an unbridled, transnational elite. Remarkably, it will be left
to a few pro-union Democrats and an even smaller group of conservative
Republicans to stand up to this flagitious Juggernaut.

Mr. Wu spoke dejectedly but decisively when he told that congressional
panel, "Perhaps one day the United States will try to promote human rights
in China with the same zeal it seeks market access." Stated another way,
perhaps one day America will return to its founding principles and realize
that there are things more important than money.

The allegations were similar to those lodged in 1998
against
two other U.S. satellite makers, Hughes Electronics
Corp. and Loral Space Communications, which have been
under criminal investigation for possibly passing
sensitive data to China.

U.S. conservatives hostile to the Chinese government have
cited the allegations as evidence that technical
cooperation with China is a danger to U.S. national
security.

BRAVE NEW SCHOOLS
 Spying 101
Students taught to report classmates to authorities

 By David M. Bresnahan
 © 2000 WorldNetDaily.com

 A new anti-violence program in America's
public school system is teaching children
how to spy on other students and to turn
them in, using an anonymous toll-free line
 to a detective agency.

 The W.A.V.E. America program was
developed by Pinkerton Services Group, a
division of the international security firm
Pinkerton, Inc. The program began last
month in North Carolina, and it is now
expanding state by state until it becomes
 nationwide.

North Carolina Gov. Jim Hunt said his
state adopted the program as part of the
recommendation from his Task Force on
Youth Violence and School Safety. He said
 the program offers a comprehensive
 violence prevention program combining a
statewide toll-free tip line, a website, and
an awareness campaign to teach parents
and students how to be a part of
 preventing school violence.

Students receive hats, t-shirts and other
W.A.V.E. items, and cash rewards are paid
for tips on students with weapons.
Students are taught to watch for certain
types of behavior, such as depression, and
to report students who they think may
 become violent.

Parents and school staff are also trained to
be part of the network of people prepared
to call tips into the toll-free number. The
 program includes classes, school
assemblies and special sessions for parents
 and teachers.

All North Carolina schools have free
access to this program, which is being paid
for by state funds. Schools around the
country may get involved on an
 independent basis, through school
 districts, or statewide, according to
 W.A.V.E. documents.

"A safe school environment is fundamental
 to helping North Carolina's students
succeed in school, and to making our
public schools first in America by 2010,"
Hunt said of the program. "Every school
ought to be a safe one and W.A.V.E.
America will help get every kid involved.
This program is more than just a tip line, it
teaches students and parents to look for
the early signs of violent behavior and to
 resolve conflicts constructively."

Despite the popularity of Hunt's efforts
using W.A.V.E. America, there are critics
who say it is uncomfortably reminiscent of
the Hitler Youth program of World War II.
Although the majority of parents and
 teachers like the program, some
disapprove of the notion of training
students to spy on other students.

"They're teaching kids to spy on each
other," said Mary Jensen, who has
removed her son from school and is
teaching him at home. "Teachers and
parents will start reporting kids who are a
little depressed. Before you know it, they'll
have everyone in counseling and on
drugs." She asked that her son and his
 school not be identified.

Every student and parent in the program
 receives a brochure detailing the
 early-warning signs of violence. When
parents and students suspect there is a
child who may become violent at some
time in the future, they are instructed to
call the toll-free number and report the
student. They do not have to give their
 name when they call.

W.A.V.E. America was created by Hunt's
 task force working together with
 Pinkerton. A contact list of
 law-enforcement personnel has been
developed for each school in the state to
use when a tip has been received by
 Pinkerton on the toll-free line.

Hunt says the W.A.V.E. America program
is just one part of the effort he is making in
 North Carolina. He believes an
 after-school program of activities,
 mentoring programs, tougher weapons
 laws, tougher juvenile laws, and
 counseling and

[CTRL] Elites Power.A brief lesson.

2000-04-07 Thread Nurev Ind Research

-Caveat Lector- A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/"
/A -Cui Bono?-

By Joshua2

Elites Power:

OLIGARCHY --

" The discovery that in all large scale societies the decisions at any given
time are typically in the hands of a small number of people, confirms a basic
fact: Government is always government by the few, whether in the name of
the few, the one, or the many."
( The Comparative Study of Elites - by H. Lasswell and D. Lerner )

ALEXANDER HAMILTON --

" All communities divide themselves into the few and the many. The first are
the rich and well-born,the other the masses of people. The voice of the people
has been said to be the voice of god; and however generally this maxim has
been quoted and believed, it is not true in fact. The people are turbulent and
changing, they seldom judge or determine right."

POWER --

" In general, we understand by " power " the chance ( ability to enact ) of a
number of men to realize their own will in a communal act even against the
resistance of others who are participating in the action." -- Max Webber

Simply put, power is the ability of people in certain positions or roles, or
of
certain social status to make decisions which direct the behavior of others.

There is also power inherent in physical size, or willingness to threaten the
use of deadly force. But we are not concerned with these aspects of personal
power in this study of social power.

Powerful persons are not powerful because they posess remarkable
qualities or skills, like intelligence, beauty, ambition, willingness to have
sex,
or being somehow related to a powerful individual. All these things are
certainly helpful, but it is the attainment of the position ( of power ) itself
that
gives an individual control over others.

INSITUTIONS --

instiòtuétion n.
1. an organization devoted to the promotion of a cause or
program, esp. one of a public character.
2. the building occupied by such an organization.
3. a place for the care or confinement of people, as mental patients.
4. any established law, custom, etc.
5. any familiar person, thing, or practice.ù instiòtuétionòal, adj.

" No one can be truly powerful unless he has access to the command of
major institutions, for it is over these institutional means of power that the
truly powerful are, in the first instance, powerful."
-- C. Wright Mills, author of " The Power Elite ".

" If we took the one hundred most powerful men in America, the one hundred
wealthiest, and the one hundred most celebrated away from the institutional
positions they now occupy, away from their resources of men and women
and money, away from the media of mass communication... then they would
be powerless and poor and uncelebrated. For power is
not of a man. Wealth does not center in the person of the wealthy. Celebrity
is not inherent in any personality. To be celebrated, to be wealthy , to have
power, requires access to major institutions, for the institutional positions
men occupy determine in large part their chances to have and to hold these
valued experiences." C. Wright Mills

While Mills keeps referring to men, this also applies to women opperating
in the world of power and institutions. Though it is clear that " power " is in
the realm of the masculine mystique.

An institution could be viewed as a large powerful machine. Using that
analogy, the head of an institution takes on the powers and abilities inherent
to that machine. For example; a human can't lift and transport 40 tons of
material at 65 miles per hour. But a truckdriver can.

A President, King, Dictator or General can subdue or kill a nation. A
Federal Reserve chairman can decide the value of your money. A boss can
decide whether not you will earn a living. Etc.

SOME TOP POSITIIONS IN AMERICA'S INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURE --

1) Banking, (The Fedral Reserve,) investments, and insurance ( Wall Street ).
2) The national government. (The Fedral Reserve.)
3) State government.
4) The Supreme Court ( 90% from upper class ).
5) The military.
6) Corporations.
7) The privately owned media.
8) Private institutions of higher learning ( Ivy League ).
9) Private foundations.
10) New York and Washington law firms.
11) Private " Civil " groups like :
The Council on Foreign Relations, pro business think tanks
like the American Enterprise Institute, the Brookings Institution.
  The National Association of Manufacturers.
  The Business Roundtable.
  The Committee for Economic Development.
12) Cultural institutions, private and public. ( The Smithsonian Museums,
The Met, The Kennedy Center, PBS, etc.).
13) Religious institutions.
14) And More.

Persons occupying leadership positions in institutions like these are referred
to as " The Power Elite ." It is not uncommon for these " Elites " to hold
powerful decision making positions in SEVERAL of these institutions at the
same time, thereby accumulating enormous power. They also seem to cycle
themselves through a series

[CTRL] WT: Justice ignored findings of probe in Tripp file case (fwd)

Justice ignored findings of probe in Tripp file case

By Jerry Seper
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The Justice Department held up action for 20 months on a
Defense Department investigation of the release of Pentagon
employee Linda R. Tripp's personnel file before deciding not to
seek an indictment, despite concerns that the law had been
broken.

Acting Inspector General Donald Mancuso told the Senate
Armed Services Committee Thursday he turned over his report in
July 1998 after an extensive investigation, and was advised last
week by the Justice Department there was "no direct evidence upon
which to pursue any violation of the Privacy Act."

Mr. Mancuso, under questioning by Sen. James M. Inhofe,
Oklahoma Republican, acknowledged that the probe had concluded
that Defense Department spokesman Kenneth H. Bacon ordered
release of documents from Mrs. Tripp's file that were covered
under the federal Privacy Act.

Asked by Mr. Inhofe if the release of the records was
illegal, Mr. Mancuso said: "I think the facts show that
information was released by Mr. Bacon and it related to Linda
Tripp and those were the basic conclusions of our report."

"Someone needs to be held accountable in this matter. The
law has been broken and there is clearly an ongoing cover-up,"
Mr. Inhofe said. "In Watergate, people went to jail for these
kinds of violations of the law. Somebody should probably go to
jail here."

At the Pentagon, Rear Adm. Craig Quigley confirmed that the
inspector general's report had been submitted to the Justice
Department, and that the department had decided against
prosecution in the case.

Adm. Quigley told reporters during the Pentagon's afternoon
briefing that the report has since been returned to the Defense
Department, whence it was sent to Mr. Bacon and Pentagon employee
Clifford Bernath for comment.

"The tentative findings of the DOD inspector general have
now been provided to both parties in the investigation. They've
been offered an opportunity to provide further comment," he said.
"When those comments are back in the IG's hands, if they choose
to do so, they would then consider those as part of the final
report, and then send that on to the secretary."

Adm. Quigley said he expected the process to be completed by
the end of the month. The inspector general's office had been
asked by Defense Secretary William S. Cohen to investigate the
leak.

Justice Department spokesman John Russell said the inspector
general's case was reviewed by lawyers in the department's
criminal division, who made a determination that they would not
prosecute the matter. He said this finding was sent to the
Defense Department, but he declined further comment.

In 1992, presidential candidate Bill Clinton accused Bush
administration officials of rifling through his State Department
passport file and promised at the time that if anyone did
something similar in his administration, he would "fire them the
next day."

Mr. Bacon was traveling Thursday in the Middle East with Mr.
Cohen and was unavailable for comment. Mr. Bernath was out of
town Thursday and also unavailable for comment.

Mrs. Tripp is the Pentagon official who first blew the
whistle on Mr. Clinton's affair with former White House intern
Monica Lewinsky. Mrs. Tripp has since filed a lawsuit accusing
the White House and the Defense Department of using confidential
Pentagon records to smear her reputation.

The inspector general's investigation focused on accusations
that the Defense Department released information to the news
media from confidential and required forms Mrs. Tripp filed with
the Pentagon. In those forms, she said she had never been
arrested when in fact she had — in what later was described as a
teen-age prank that had taken place 30 years ago.

The Pentagon leak was orchestrated by Mr. Bacon, a Clinton
appointee who later said he was sorry he did not consult the
Privacy Act before authorizing the disclosure.

The information was passed to Jane Mayer, a reporter for the
New Yorker magazine who once worked with Mr. Bacon at the Wall
Street Journal, and was used for a damaging story on Mrs. Tripp's
background at a time Miss Lewinsky's relationship with Mr.
Clinton had become a major public issue.

Mrs. Tripp had spurred the sex-and-lies investigation of Mr.
Clinton by turning over to independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr
tapes she had secretly recorded of conversations with Miss
Lewinsky, who had been transferred from the White House to the
Pentagon.

Both Miss Lewinsky and Mr. Clinton acknowledged having a
sexual relationship, which led to the president's impeachment by
the House on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. Mr.
Clinton was acquitted by the Senate.

The actual leak of Mrs. Tripp's security clearance form to
the New Yorker came from Mr. Bernath on March 13, 1998. At

While Bill Clinton and congressional "leaders" of both

Clinton has raised hypocrisy to the level of obscenity!

MicroSoft has provided good jobs for thousands of people.
MicroSoft is a shining success of the free enterprise system.

CULTURE is a scientific word. When the Catholic Church stops speaking as

Find one who is eager to articulate and then build that Culture of Life

Well Bill,

All I can say is hang the romance, people should sign a form stating
what exactly should be done with the kid should one appear from the
union. Then start the action. I recommend everyone watch the movie
Gattica about having kids.
In fact men should wear a label with their DNA problems just to be even
more practical and the woman can give any impending fling a really good
think. Having weighed up the pros and cons it may not seem like a good
idea after all and then we could have no abortions.

Tony Blair's Downing Street Blues
by Martin Walker

LONDON -- After spending most of the last two decades well behind both France
and Italy in the global pecking order, Britain is resurgent. Its economy has
far outdistanced Italy and this month surged past the French to become the
fourth largest in the world after the United States, Japan and Germany.
Unemployment -- at just over 4% -- is now lower than in Japan, and personal
incomes have risen almost 10% since Prime Minister Tony Blair took over the
Labor party.

Spinning out of control
So why is the Blair government currently in the doldrums, beset by the
perception that everything is going wrong at once? The prospect of a new wave
of unemployment, after Germany’s BMW announced that it was writing off its $5-
billion loss in the floundering Rover auto manufacturer, is one factor. Ford’s
rumored plans to close its vast British plant in Dageham, and Honda’s to slash
UK production by half, are others. The overpriced pound sterling is hurting
manufacturing exports, and planned new taxes on multinational corporations add
to the gloom.

This is undermining Blair’s proudest boast, that Labor had shed its old
socialist instincts to become the most pro-market and pro-enterprise system in
Europe. His clever finance minister, Gordon Brown, boasts that the basic rates
of income and corporate tax have dropped steadily under Labor. But indirect
taxes on gas, house purchase and consumption have risen so fast that the
government now takes a net 1% of gross domestic product more out of the economy
in taxes than it did at the time Blair was elected. Long unheard, the
opposition attacks on these “stealth taxes” are starting to sting Blair's
government.

Most of Blair's reforms have run into trouble

Furthermore, most of the Blair government’s big reforms have run into trouble.
Devolution of power to Scotland and Wales makes strategic sense. So does
increased local government control. Tactically, however, there are problems.
Blair’s hand-picked leader for Wales has had to resign, not daring to face a
vote of confidence in the new Welsh Assembly. A cheeky and popular left-wing
rebel, Ken Livingstone, looks set to trounce Blair’s own candidate to be
elected the first mayor of London next month, despite extraordinary efforts by
Downing Street to block him.

The real worry is in Scotland, where a parliamentary by-election in Ayr saw
Labor knocked into third place, behind the Tories and Scottish Nationalists.
Labor’s core traditional working-class voters simply did not go to the polls.
Optimists within the Labor Party say this is the usual mid-term apathy.
Pessimists say that Blair’s grand strategy to reshape Labor into a coalition
party of the left and center, embracing the middle classes of what was once
Margaret Thatcher’s Middle England, has eroded the loyalty of the party's
traditional supporters. If they continue to stay home, then Blair may have to
step briskly to the left before the next election.

Has Blair's luck run out?
Adding to the prime minister's problems is his unsuccessful plan to ditch the
feudal legacy of the unelected second chamber of parliament, the House of
Lords. The problem is how to replace it. Unwilling to compromise the authority
of the House of Commons by allowing an elected U.S.-style Senate, Blair is
replacing the old aristocrats with loyalists and fund-raisers appointed by the
government and other political parties. This is becoming even more
controversial than the old system, which at least had the merit of familiarity.
Moreover, Blair’s election promises are looking thin. Hospital waiting lists
for operations under the National Health Service have lengthened, rather than
been cut, after a winter flu epidemic sideswiped reform plans. School reform is
foundering on the entrenched suspicion of the teachers’ unions. A promised
tightening of the asylum rules has been made more difficult by waves of
refugees from Kosovo and the Balkans.

Blair’s government seems to be running out of luck. Its consistent and
principled attempt to bring a lasting peace to Northern Ireland has sunk into
the same old trouble. The Protestant majority is unwilling to opt into a power-
sharing government with Gerry Adams and other leaders from Sinn Fein, the
political wing of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), until the IRA accepts that
the war is over and starts handing in its weapons and explosives. The power-
sharing government has been suspended, and after all the risks he took for
peace the moderate Protestant leader David Trimble is left with only his shared
Nobel Peace Prize to console him.

Help from within
Given the woeful state of the opposition Conservative Party, Blair

Police target law limiting surveillance

by Mike Carter
Seattle Times staff reporter

The Seattle Police Department, with the
support of Mayor Paul Schell, wants to
streamline - and perhaps repeal - a law that
limits when and how police can gather
information on organizations and
individuals.

The impetus behind the decision to review
the city's unique intelligence law is last fall's
World Trade Organization conference. In its
self-critical analysis, released this week, the
department claims the law "created
significant problems" for WTO security
planners and later "delayed the gathering
and sharing" of intelligence information
about anarchists and protesters.

"The SPD Criminal Intelligence Section
contributed little hard intelligence because
of our inability to investigate any of the
individuals or groups that ultimately did
the most damage," the report says.

But the civilian auditor who oversees the
department's compliance with the law sees
no reason it should have hampered police
during the WTO conference. And civil
libertarians believe the Seattle Police
Department is using the WTO as a red
herring to attack the law.

"This is an attempt to roll back an important
protection for the citizens of Seattle using
the problems of WTO as a cover," said Doug
Honig, the education director for the
American Civil Liberties Union of
Washington.

That's not so, says Leo Poort, the Police
Department's legal adviser who helped
draft the law in 1979. The statute, he said, is
unwieldy in today's high-tech society,
where information about possibly
subversive groups is readily available to
police. Moreover, he said, few people
understand how the law works and how it
frightens other agencies into being reluctant
to share information with the Police
Department.

The ordinance was passed after a public
outcry over police keeping political files on
citizens and groups involved here in the
political activism of the 1960s and '70s.

It prohibits gathering any information -
outside of a criminal investigation - on
anyone exercising free-speech rights or
solely because of someone's political or
religious beliefs.

Penalties for breaking the law are
substantial - up to $1,000 per violation.

Before police can gather information on
anyone the law protects, they must have a
"reasonable suspicion" that a person or
group has or will commit a crime. Someone
of the rank of captain or above must
approve an investigation.

The ordinance calls for a review of any
approved investigation by a civilian auditor
who - if he finds police broke the law - must
inform the targets of surveillance that their
rights may have been violated.

Poort says the process is cumbersome and
impedes the department's ability to react
quickly to possible threats.

"It's time to take a look at that ordinance,"

A Patent Covering a Cure for AIDS?

You will see from the enclosed unique patent, (which was initially filed on
May 2, 1994), that it took Basil six (6) years of fighting the establishment
pharmaceuticals to finally have the only patent in the world clearly
accepted for combating HIV/AIDS.

Now the United States has primarily two patents covering AIDS/HIV, one is
the creation and cause of HIV/AIDS;

(HTLV I-II-III-IV-V) Patent # 9,208,784.
"human t-lymphotropic type II (HTLV -I/II/III/IV/ V) Immune suppresive
viral composition", Dr. Robert Gallo Merck, Sharpe Dohme Corporation
filed this horrifying patent.

The other patent is the cure for HIV/AIDS granted to Basil Earle Wainwright,
Patent # 6,027,688. "apparatus and method for inactivation of Human

Apparatus and method for inactivation of human immunodeficiency virus

Abstract
An apparatus and method for the inactivation of infectious organisms such as
viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa, and especially for the inactivation
of human immunodeficiency virus in proteinaceous material such as blood and
blood products, without adversely affecting the normal physiological
activity of the material, by contacting it for a time interval of only about
16 seconds with an ozone-oxygen mixture having an ozone concentration of
only about 27 .mu./ml. The apparatus includes a gas-liquid contact apparatus
through which the material and ozone-oxygen mixture flow in contacting,
counter-current relationship, and an ozone generator which produces an
ozone-oxygen mixture having a resonant frequency of about 7.83 Hz. The
apparatus and method of the invention provide precise control of the
concentration of ozone and the contact time between the material to be
treated and the ozone-oxygen mixture.

Testimony of Bernard Rimland, Ph.D.

Before House
Committee on Government Reform

April 6, 2000

The Autism Increase: Research Needed on the Vaccine Connection

My name is Bernard Rimland. I am a research psychologist (Ph.D.).
and am Director
Of the Autism Research Institute, which I founded in 1967. I am also the
founder of the Autism Society of America (1965), and the editor of the
Autism Research Review International. My book, Infantile Autism: The
Syndrome and Its Implication for a Neural Theory of Behavior (1964) is
widely credited with changing the field of psychiatry from its claim that
autism is an emotional illness, caused by destructive mothers, to its
current recognition that autism is a biological disorder. I have lectured
on autism and related problems throughout the world, and am author of
numerous publications. I served as primary technical advisor on autism for
the film Rain Man.

My son Mark was born in 1956. It was obvious from birth that this
perfectly normal-looking infant had something drastically wrong with him. I
had earned my Ph.D in experimental psychology 3 years earlier and had never
encountered the word autism. Our pediatrician, with 35 years of experience,
had never heard of autism either. Autism was extremely rare then – it is
extremely common now.

Some supposed experts will tell you that the increase reflects only
greater awareness. That is nonsense. Any pediatrician, teacher or school
official with 20 or more years experience will confirm what the studies tell
us: there is a real increase in autism and the numbers are huge and
growing. The epidemic is serious and world-wide.

Soon after my textbook on autism was published in 1964, I began to
hear from other parents. Many parents told me that their children were
normal until getting a triple vaccine – the DPT shot. In 1965 I began
systematically collecting data on the symptoms and possible causes of
autism: In 1967—33 years ago—I began querying the parents, specifically
about the child’s response to the DPT shot. Many had reported marked
deterioration.

During the past few years the Autism Research Institute has been
flooded with an upsurge in pleas for help from parents throughout the
world – from wherever the World Health Organization vaccine guidelines are
followed. The majority of these parents say their children were normal
until getting the MMR – another triple vaccine.

Let me dispel several myths promoted by those who deny the
autism-vaccine connection:

 1. They claim the vaccines are safe, but physicians are indoctrinated
to disbelieve claims of harm and are not trained to recognize nor required
to report any adverse reactions. From 90% to 99% of the adverse reactions
reported to doctors are never reported by those doctors to the government’s
extremely lax Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, known as the VAERS.

 2. They say that the suspected linkage between the MMR vaccination and
autism has been disproved by a study conducted by Brent Taylor and his
colleagues in London, and published last year in The Lancet. The Taylor
study is seriously flawed in many ways, as had been noted in a number of
letters to the editor of The Lancet and in a number of additional letters
on the subject which have been posted on the internet. It was subject to
strong attack at a recent meeting of the British Statistical Society. I
have been a full-time researcher my entire professional life, for almost 50
years, and I respectfully asked Dr. Taylor for a copy of the data so that I
could reanalyze them. He refused this ordinary professional courtesy, and I
have subsequently written to the editor of The Lancet requesting that an
impartial committee be asked to reexamine Dr. Taylor’s statistical methods.
If he refuses again, I urged The Lancet to retract his paper.

 3. They say that autism has a large genetic component, and therefore
vaccines must play a minimal, if any, role in the causation of autism. My
book Infantile Autism, published in 1964, was the first systematic attempt
to marshal the evidence for genetics as a contributing cause of autism, so I
am certainly not hostile to that idea. However, genes do not begin to
account for the huge increase in the incidence of autism, ranging from 250%
to 500% in various places. I might add that we have just reviewed all of
the recent genetic studies for the next issue of the Autism Research Review
International, which I edit. The results are spectacularly inconsistent.
The best guess is that there are at least 20 different genes involved in the
causation of autism. Gene therapy is decades off, and may be infeasible.

 4. They claim that autism naturally occurs at about 18 months, when
the MMR is routinely given,

 Carneal's motives remain a mystery

Teen says he was 'mad at the world' before shooting

By JAMES MALONE, The Courier-Journal

PADUCAH, Ky. -- Despite
three days of new
questioning by lawyers,
convicted Heath High School
gunman Michael Carneal is
still unable or unwilling to
explain why he opened fire
in the 1997 shooting that left
three students dead and five
wounded.

Carneal, 16, says he felt
angry, afraid "and mad at
the world" and could not maintain social relationships
years before the shootings, according to a 500-page
deposition taken in early February.

He said he had considered taking his own life and felt that
his parents favored his older, overachieving sister, Kelly.

Carneal also said he was lying when he told police and his
psychiatrists that friends helped plan the shooting.

The deposition was taken at the Northern Kentucky Youth
Development Center, a state juvenile center in
Crittenden, Ky. Carneal was sentenced to 25 years in
prison at age 15 for shooting the students in the school
lobby on Dec. 1, 1997.

He is to be sentenced as an adult when he turns 18 and is
expected to be sent to state prison.

A copy of the deposition was given to The Courier-Journal
at the newspaper's request by Michael Breen, a lawyer for
the plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit brought by the families of
three slain girls. Lawyers for Carneal were present during
the deposition.

In it, Carneal never addressed why he opened fire on his
schoolmates and said he can't remember shooting.

Asked what he thought during the shooting Carneal
replied: "I don't remember."

But he said he felt "crappy" when he shot and killed a
former friend, Nicole Hadley.

The day of the shooting, Carneal opened fire with a stolen
.25-caliber pistol as a student prayer group was
disbanding from a morning devotional. But during 13
hours of deposition questioning by Breen, Carneal never
said why he shot his classmates -- nor did he express
sorrow.

Asked what he was afraid of, Carneal answered, "Ridicule,
not having friends, rejection, people under my bed,
people in vents, trees falling down and hitting my house,
burglars, getting beat up. For some reason, a lot of times,
I thought that my friends or my family was kind of
plotting against me for some reason. Just things like that."

And in a final psychiatric evaluation that has not
previously been made public, Carneal said that he did not
have a problem with the people in the prayer group but
noted that his friends "did not like them." Carneal was
envious of their popularity and their friendships but also
felt they rejected him.

No longer the 5-foot-2-inch, nerdy freshman fascinated
with the Smurfs, Carneal now is a strapping 6-foot-1-inch,
245-pound teen-ager who takes daily doses of
antidepressants. He said he aspires to take college
correspondence courses when he completes his high
school work.

In other highlights of the depositions:

Carneal said he has written two letters to one of his
victims, Melissa Jenkins, who was left paralyzed, but
the contents of those letters were not revealed.
He said some of his friends at Heath High School were
involved in the occult but he personally was not.
He said that until recently, he had never talked about
the shootings with his family. He said he discussed it
   once with his mother.
Carneal said that Ben Strong, a preacher's son who
was hailed as a hero after some accounts had him
confronting Carneal as he shot, did not stop him from
shooting and emerged from behind a column.
He said he wanted to shoot Heath High Principal Bill
Bond but was not aiming at anyone in particular when
   he opened fire.
He said he made up his mind to shoot students about
30-45 days earlier but can't recall why, or why he
decided on Dec. 1 as the day.

Throughout the deposition, Carneal consistently denied
the most chilling allegations of the crime -- that he took
extra long guns and more than 1,000 rounds of
ammunition so that friends could join in the carnage.

McCracken County Sheriff Frank Augustus has said he
thinks there was a plan to do just that, but that at the last
minute his friends balked.

When Breen asked Carneal why he took the four long
guns to school, Carneal replied, "because that's all I had."
He added, "The best way to describe it is just so if you got
done firing one gun, you can just throw it down and pick
up another one and start firing. You won't have to reload
the gun. That's the best way I

pages

By Dr. Nick Begich and James Roderick

Earth Rising ? The Revolution: Toward a Thousand Years of
Peace is about technology and its impact on humanity. This
book is about the basis of freedom, human dignity, sovereign
individuality and self-determination. The material will be
shocking to all. This is an exposé on technological advances
which may reshape the destiny of mankind in the next
millennium. This book covers a number of separate areas with
extensive documentation from government, academic and major
media reports including:

o The Revolution in Military Affairs and its impact on
freedom.

o Mind control and the manipulation of human health through
the use of drugs, electromagnetic weapons and other means.

o Non-lethal weapons and their use and impact on people.

o Environmental and weather control.

o New technologies which will virtually eliminate privacy
from the world scene.

o Militarization of law enforcement around the country.

o The HAARP story is updated, showing additional evidence of
the military's plans to manipulate the environment.

The book concludes with solutions that could be initiated in
the next few years which could change the implications of
these technologies from negative to positive. This book
carries a message about our humanity and our reach toward
higher purposes.

We are spirit, energy, atoms, molecules, chemicals, cells,
body organs and components and then we are body. These new
technologies attack the very essence of who we are ? they
attack the very foundation of our being by wounding the
human spirit.

The computer problems which have captured the attention of
the world as we leave this millennium have made us all
question technology and its impact on the world. We will not
know the results for a few weeks of what the transition
means and it is not the subject of this book ? technology is
the subject. In each potential disaster there are even
greater possibilities for solutions which redeem the human
spirit and will help propel us into the next century. This
book is about those solutions.
