I would first like to point out that webfairy's article was written
by a (literally and openly) facist, anti-semitic group in the UK,
kind of blindingly obvious really.

Here is some information on a Murdoch-CIA connection basically
hijacking a whole generation odf left wing politicians, all of whom
became UK government ministers and all of whom had to be sacked
either for corruption or incompetence of the very public kind.

A variety of senior Labour politicians - Peter Mandelson, George
Robertson, Mo Mowlam, Chris Smith, Elizabeth Symons, George Robertson
and Blair's chief of staff Jonathan Powell, were members of the
British-American Project for the Successor Generation (BAP), a little-
known but highly influential transatlantic network of chosen
politicians, journalists and academics. The fingerprints of British
and American intelligence are everywhere to be found amongst the
network of BAP members; regular attenders at BAP meetings are defence
and security specialists, NATO advisers, Defence Ministry think-tank
people and counter-insurgency experts. Also included is Jonathan
Powell, the career diplomat who now runs Tony Blair's No. 10 office
as chief of staff. Powell is the youngest of the Powell brothers, of
whom Charles, the eldest, was Margaret Thatcher's foreign policy
specialist. At BAP conferences, subjects discussed include such
titles as 'Sharing the Defense Burden' and 'The Welfare State on
Trial'.

The first recorded mention of the need for a successor generation
came in 1983 when President Reagan spoke to a select group, including
Rupert Murdoch, Sir James Goldsmith and senior CIA officers, in the
White House. Reagan told them: Last June, I spoke to the British
Parliament, proposing that we - the democracies of the world - work
together to build the infrastructure of democracy. This will take
time, money and efforts by both government and the private sector. We
need particularly to cement relations among the various sectors of
our societies in the United States and Europe. A special concern will
be the successor generations, as these younger people are the ones
who will have to work together in the future on defense and security
issues.

It looks innocuous enough: a simply worded warning about 
"fictitious bonds" sits on Japan's Ministry of Finance website. In 
fact, it is a gateway into a world swirling with explosive 
accusations of fraud, conspiracy and political interference. 
The site carries a picture of what looks like a Japanese 
government bond, slashed by two diagonal red lines and warns 
that such certificates have never been issued by Japan. 
  

  
But that hasn't stopped these mysterious "quasi-bonds" from 
turning up in financial centres around the world. In total, their 
purported face value comes to trillions of yen. 
And their origin is the subject of mystery and controversy. Are 
these quasi-bond certificates part of a complex political 
conspiracy, or are they simply a ploy to trap foreign investors? 

One man convinced the certificates are real is Norbert 
Schlei, a senior US lawyer and former adviser to President 
John F. Kennedy. In 1995, he was apprehended in Florida for 
handling these certificates and charged with securities fraud. 

In his defence, he told the courts the certificates were 
legitimate and owned by a dozen of his Japanese clients. Then he 
dropped his bombshell by claiming Japan's Ministry of Finance had 
secretly issued the certificates in the 1980s to conceal a hidden 
political slush fund. And this slush fund was linked to money 
that the CIA allegedly had used to fund rightwing political 
groups in Japan, as part of an anti-communist drive. 
Shlei is now 71 and works from small law offices in Los Angeles, 
decorated with pictures of himself working with President Kennedy. 
He was given a five-year suspended prison sentence in 1995, but the 
conviction was mostly overturned on appeal. "I am absolutely 
convinced that these certificates were issued by the MoF," he still 
says. 
If he is right - and Japan's MoF vehemently denies his account - 
the repercussions could be huge. For a start, the Japanese hate the 
idea of the US meddling in their political affairs. And there would 
be a marked reaction in the bond markets if it emerged that the MoF 
had secretly issued extra bonds. 
The ministry claims it is a simple case of fraud, with criminals 
using the certificates to fool naive investors. "The idea [that we] 
could have secretly issued hidden bonds is crazy and shows how 
gullible people can be," argues one senior MoF official. 
But Shlei's version of events is the one supported in a book, 
yet to be published, by Sterling and Peggy Seagrave, two US 
authors who have written extensively on Asia.

 destruction with Iraq's possession of them: We have weapons of

 4) The New York Times managed to quote two Republicans in a
 Friday story on how its poll found declining approval for
 President Bush and his economic policies, but both Republicans
 trashed Bush from the left. One charged: The tax cuts helped only
 the wealthy. The poll juxtaposed the tax cut with reducing the
 federal deficit and preserving Social Security, as if it's an
 either/or choice. The poll also distorted what Supreme Court
 appointees can do on abortion by asking if Bush will nominate
 justices who will vote to make abortion against the law?

 5) CNBC/NBC anchor Brian Williams got an early start in
 proclaiming his loyalty to the Democratic Party cause. At age 7-
 and-a-half he wrote a letter to President Lyndon Johnson, signing
 it, One of your young Democrats. That revelation came at a forum
 last week with Williams in Austin, Texas during which he
 complained that in cable news there's too much opinion and
 attitude slipping in. He should know. Recently he's fretted about
 the patriotism police and decreed Jimmy Carter the best former
 President in...the last 200 years.

the sudden resignation of Venezuela correspondent Francisco Toro.

Its International Business Editor Patrick J. Lyons wrote us and called it a
defamatory screed (but failed, upon challenge, to cite a single incorrect
fact).

It's not every day, Kind Reader, that we get a nasty call your lawyer
letter from a NY Times editor, a moment so special that we think we should
share it all with you, out in the open.

Because for all his bluster, NY Times editor Patrick Lyons clearly doesn't
understand his own newspaper's Code of Ethics. We found many, many
paragraphs from that ethics code that Lyons and his (ex)-reporter Francisco
Toro seem to be unaware of how they apply to their work.

MR. BUSH'S SHOOTING WAR

February 1991

On January 16, 1991, a day which shall live in infamy, George Bush finally
got his
cherished shooting war. The United States launched an avalanche of mass
murder and mass destruction upon a small, impoverished third-world
country. Bush and the military finally got to uncork their high-tech
devastation; and the military-industrial complex, secure in the vanishing of
the short-lived peace dividend, can stand tall once more. By personalizing
the war and narrowing it to Saddam Hussein, Bush has managed to make
Americans forget about the countless number of Iraqi civilians he is going
to maim and murder. Or maybe there is nothing to forget: one reason why
a U.S. war is always depressing to libertarians is because each new war is
yet another demonstration that many Americans are only concerned about
American lives and body bags, and care not a fig for the annihilation of
citizens of other countries.

George Bush was, of course, able to maneuver us into a shooting war by
aggressively and viciously, in barracks-room language, denying Saddam
anyway out, any compromise, any avenue of negotiation. Just get out,
unconditionally...He doesn't need any face...I'm going to kick his ass. What
head of State, ever, is going to submit under such terms? Every promising
initiative by a third party was shot down brusquely by Bush; even the last-
minute proposal by France that the U.N. simply implement its own
resolutions by holding a Mideast conference (as suggested by Tariq Aziz)
was shot down quickly by Bush as linkage and rewarding the aggressor.

George Bush worked his evil will in the face of a sharply divided country
and of an anti-war movement of unprecedented scope at this early stage
of a US war. He was aided and abetted in this course by a supine Congress.
The iniquity of Congress was bipartisan. What happened to the
conservative Republicans, so defiant in opposition to Bush's tax increase?
They folded totally in the face of the power of the president. As for the
Democrats, led by George Mitchell and Tom Foley  they deliberately
waited cravenly to debate until the last minute, when they could
effectively be clobbered by the cry to support the president in his last
hours of negotiation. And when they finally did allow a debate, they
refused to use any muscle to rally the Democrats behind them. In that
way, they could support the president, while keeping their voting records
clear in case the war should eventually turn sour.

In the highly touted and self-congratulatory Great Debate on the eve of
war, congressman after congressman got up to admit that the mail from his
constituents was running 9-to-1 or 11-to-1 against the war resolution, but
he was, blah, blah, blah, voting for it anyway. Why? Amidst all the
congratulations, why did no one ask what kind of democracy are we living
under, when the Congressmen are willing to defy so blatantly the
expressed will of the public?

HAWK THEORY DISPROVED

Throughout the preparation period until January 15, the Bush
administration and its stooges operated on one and only one dimwit
theory, which they intoned endlessly: That if Bush could only send a clear
message that the US will be ultra-tough and will exert maximum force
against Iraq on passing the deadline, Saddam Hussein will certainly turn tail
and leave Kuwait. As time went on, Saddam showed no signs of buckling,
Bush kept reiterating that he must not have gotten the message
clearly...he doesn't understand the message. Indeed, the decisive
argument that convinced the pro-Bush Democrats in Congress was that,
especially at that late date, a defeat would weaken or negate that
message. Hence, as Doug Ireland pointed out in the Village Voice (Jan.
22), the debate was conducted almost entirely in Orwellian terms: those
who voted war spoke for peace. Ireland also pointed to the bilge of the
New York Times editorial after the debate that Congress has armed the
president, first and foremost, for peace. Yeah sure. And that's what we
got, right?

In vain did Tariq Aziz, in his eloquent but totally unheeded press
conference at Geneva, rebut that Iraq understood the message all too
well that, We know very well what the president is saying. We too watch
CNN.

And so Saddam Hussein did not surrender, did not quit, and thus
successfully knocked the Bush-hawk theory into a cocked hat. Did
Congress, after the deadline of January 15, rush to recognize this fact and
rescind its approval of Bush's war, as it logically and morally should have
done? To the contrary, Congress capped its abject and spineless role by
rushing to pass a unanimous resolution, after the war began, commending
George Bush! O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, and men have
lost their reason.

There he is, our macho Secretary of Defense trash talking the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, according to a Washington Times story (See:
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030124- 14721132.htm). He's piling it
on now. Just a short time ago, he trash talked soldiers who had, in the
past, been drafted into the military, implying that they were an inferior
kind of cannon fodder. Then, Rumsfeld, following the Bush Cartel My Way
or the Highway -- I Am Never Wrong credo, issued a non- apology apology.
Like Trent Lott, he was sorry if people misinterpreted his remarks. In
short, he wasn't sorry about what he said about draftees. If you fought for
your country in the rice paddies of Vietnam and misunderstood Rummy, it's
your problem.

In the intervening time between the draftee insult and the leaked memo
about his disparagement of the highest commanders in our military, Rummy
had a good time insulting and angering our allies, France and Germany.
Rummy, in a patronizing outburst of smug bravado, called them the old
Europe. Rummy has got it in for just about everybody these days. Let's
see, in two weeks, he's managed to insult and anger men who fought for
America in Vietnam and other wars (unlike Bush and Cheney who ran
yellow from fighting in Vietnam), impugn the capabilities of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, and tick off the two largest nations in Europe. That's quite an
accomplishment, even for the oversized brazen egos of the Bush Cartel. I
mean, Clinton would have been ousted from office for any of these three
statements, but our Little Caesar, Bush, has full confidence in his Rummy.

As far as his running down of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which some might
call treason given our war footing, Rumsfeld is following a stance laid out
by one Eliot Cohen, a key military policy advisor to the Bush administration
(and professor at Johns Hopkins). In a Washington Post commentary last
year, Cohen argued that military leaders should take a back seat to the
president when it comes to determining the feasibility of war. So even
though the Joint Chiefs of Staff have second thoughts about our ability to
successfully win in Iraq without great loss of life -- and no doubt don't
relish a post-victory role in occupying the nation, a man who wasn't even
elected to the White House and let others die in Vietnam in his place
should overrule the military judgment of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Got it?

Yes the men with military fighting experience have a different perspective
than the Bush Cartel honchos who never fought in a war. As a recent
online publication (by no means liberal) noted

Senior Pentagon officials are quietly urging President George W. Bush to
slow down his headlong rush to war with Iraq, complaining the
administrations course of action represents too much of a shift of

We have a dangerous role reversal here, one Pentagon source tells
Capitol Hill Blue. The civilians are urging war and the uniformed officers
are urging caution.

Capitol Hill Blue has learned the Joint Chiefs of Staff are split over plans to
invade Iraq in the coming weeks. They have asked Secretary of Defense
Donald Rumsfeld to urge Bush to back down from his hard line stance until
United Nations weapons inspectors can finish their jobs and the U.S. can
build a stronger coalition in the Middle East.

This is not Desert Storm, one of the Joint Chiefs is reported to have told
Rumsfeld We dont have the backing of other Middle Eastern nations. We
dont have the backing of any of our allies except Britain and were
advocating a policy that says we will invade another nation that is not
currently attacking us or invading any of our allies.

Intelligence sources say some Arab nations have told US diplomats they
may side with Iraq if the U.S. attacks without the backing of the United
Nations. Secretary of State Colin Powell agrees with his former colleagues
at the Pentagon and has told the President he may be pursuing a
dangerous course.

An angry Rumsfeld, who backs Bush without question, is said to have told
the Joint Chiefs to get in line or find other jobs. Bush is also said to be
extremely angry at what he perceives as growing Pentagon opposition to
his role as Commander in Chief.

The President considers this nation to be at war, a White House source
says, and, as such, considers any opposition to his policies to be no less
than an act of treason.

In short, Bush is showing disrespect for the Joint Chiefs, and accusing
anyone, even the Joint Chiefs, who don't agree with him of treason. But
this is the real treason, that a president appointed by a 5-4 vote can

For years Susan McDougal didn't talk. Not to prosecutors. Not about Bill
Clinton's role in a questionable land deal called Whitewater.

For her silence she would spend 18 months in jail for contempt of
court...plus three-and-a-half months for fraud.

And she tells CBS News correspondent Jim Stewart, It was not an easy
time. It was not an easy time.

But now she's telling her story in The Woman Who Wouldn't Talk.

You could call it McDougal's Revenge, says Stewart. It's more than her life
story, he says. It's a bitter indictment of White House Independent counsel
Ken Starr, who led the battle to get her to speak.

The pictures of her arrest, in handcuffs and leg chains, made her a public,
and pitiable figure, Stewart remarks.

And McDougal tells him the shackling was very tough to take. I was not
prepared for that. I couldn't swallow. I remember the tears came to my
eyes and I kept saying, 'Don't you dare cry. This was a choice you made.' 

But she says she really didn't have a choice. She claims Starr's team was
not interested in hearing the truth; they wanted her to accuse Bill and
Hillary Clinton of fraud.

I believe they thought they had the goods, enough to get him, she says.
Not the truth, but the goods. And I believe they went after him with
untruthful witnesses, with perjured testimony, and I think they had their
story.

Jail time for Mcdougal was hard time, some of it spent in America's
toughest women's prisons, like one in California where she was kept in
isolation, Stewart reports.

They called it the 'Hannibal Lecter' cell, McDougal says. Absolutely
soundproof. You could see out. You could see in. Totally glass.

But still she wouldn't talk. Nothing. I didn't tell them anything.

She was finally released in 1998. She says she never heard from Bill Clinton
until the end of his presidency, when he pardoned her.

What would you say to him? Stewart asked.

Thank you for my pardon. God bless you.

No animosity?

Oh, the only animosity I hold is for the people who tortured us.

There's been no comment from Ken Starr on McDougal's story, Stewart
adds.

As for McDougal, he says, she's back in Arkansas trying to pick up the
pieces of her life.

It's Top Ten time again! With the war machine going into overdrive we have
a thoroughly depressing list of moronic conservative behavior this week.
George W. Bush and his lying administration top the chart amidst
revelations that they really never had any evidence of Iraq's weapons of
mass destruction, Colin Powell (2) reveals how we're going to occupy Iraq's
oilfields, and there's George W. Bush again (3) announcing his fabulous
Office of Global Communications. Elsewhere, John Snow (4), the new
treasury secretary, is a drunk driver and deadbeat dad, Jerry Thacker (5)
is a first-class homophobe, and the Republican Party (7) is has been caught
astroturfing. Bringing up the rear we find the latest judicial conservative
idiot, Karl Forester (9) and back again in the number ten slot is Matt
Drudge. Don't forget the key!

Bush and his Lying Administration
If has been said that if you repeat a lie often enough, it eventually
becomes the truth. And boy, do the Bush Administration like to repeat
lies. How many times have we heard them say over the last few months
that they know Saddam has weapons of mass destruction? How many times
have they told us that they have hard evidence that he is hoarding these
weapons, or building more? And how many times have we wondered why, if
the administration has this hard evidence, aren't they just passing it along
to the U.N. weapons inspectors so they can go find the buggers? Well
here's why - in a recent New York Times article entitled U.S. Set to
Demand That Allies Agree Iraq Is Defying UN an alert reader spotted this
gem: Administration officials said their strategy was based on the belief
that there might never be a 'smoking gun' proving Iraq's possession of illegal
weapons. So... there's no actual evidence of weapons of mass destruction
then. Not that the Bush administration would ever lie to the American
people, of course.

Colin Powell
It's so sickening to hear this administration talk about the war on terror
when you consider what they're planning to do in Iraq. Colin Powell said
last week that Iraqi oilfields would be held in trust for the Iraqi people.
If we are the occupying power, it will be held for the benefit of the Iraqi
people and it will be operated for the benefit of the Iraqi people, he said.
How will we operate it? How best to do that? We are studying different
models. But the one thing I can assure you of is that it will be held in trust
for the Iraqi people, to benefit the Iraqi people. That is a legal obligation
that the occupying power will have. Now let's just think about this for a
moment. For all the people who think that an invasion of Iraq will be a nice
quick in-and-out like the Gulf War ten years ago, consider: we're going to
attempt to invade and occupy a country, control its natural resources,
and hand those resources back to the rightful owners - a bit at a time,
providing they play nice - and we'll make sure to siphon off our share to
pay for all the bombs we just dropped, of course. And they think that this
sort of behavior will reduce resentment against America? They think it will
reduce the possibility of terrorist attacks on America or Americans around
the globe? Absolutely insane.

George W. Bush
Don't worry though, our great leader George W. Bush is on the case. Bush
last week appointed a man named Tucker Eskew to head the brand
spanking new White House Office of Global Communications. The new
office is supposed to improve America's image around the world,
presumably by putting out banal propaganda-style press releases which
echo the words of Eskew: the truth about the compassion of the
American people is often lost. Indeed, indeed. And I'm sure that if we're
occupying half the Middle East, Osama bin Laden's fanatical followers will
be paying such rapt attention to the outpourings of the Office of Global
Communications that they'll completely forget to commit any massive
terrorist attacks against us.

John Snow
And now onto important domestic issues. It was revealed last week that
John Snow, the man nominated by George W. Bush to become the new
treasury secretary, was once arrested for drunk-driving, and that he
refused to pay child support to his ex-wife over a 19 month period. I guess
the DUI charge is forgivable, since both the current president and vice-
president of the United States have been arrested multiple times for the
same offense (and obviously we should all look to our great leaders as role
models) - but should the next treasury secretary really be a deadbeat dad
too? I mean, this is a guy worth literally millions of dollars - but he can't pay
his child support? I've got three little words for you, folks: Republican.

The CIA's Role in John F. Kennedy's Assassination: An Overview of Michael

Quite possibly the most important court trial of the 1990s (yes, even more
relevant than O.J.) was E. Howard Hunt vs. The Spotlight newspaper.
Although I wont delve into the circumstances surrounding it, juror Leslie
Armstrong told The Spotlight in their November 11, 1991 issue, Mr. Lane
[representing the defendant] was asking us [the jury] to do something very
difficult. He was asking us to believe John Kennedy had been killed by our
own government. Yet when we examined the evidence closely, we were
compelled to conclude that the CIA had indeed killed President Kennedy.
This information is extremely important to 20th century history, yet the
mainstream media gave it virtually no coverage due to its explosive nature.
I suppose they were saving everything to see if O.J.s glove fit.

The vital point being made, and one confirmed by the Church Committee
in 1975, was that a conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy did exist,
and that it extended directly into the U.S. Government. To fully
understand the ramifications of this information, one needs to be aware of
what the CIA has been doing since it formed out of the OSS after WWII.
Although time prevents me from engaging in a lengthy discourse, you
should research Project Paperclip where Nazi scientists were secretly
relocated to America after the war. You can also investigate the CIAs
illegal mind control experiments, their illicit drug tests on unwitting
subjects, their drug trafficking activities, how theyve successfully
infiltrated the American corporate media, and their assassinations of
various world leaders. In other words, these guys have, and still are, dirty
up to their eyeballs.

To fully understand not only this branch of Intelligence, but also the
broader spectrum of how our world works, we need to realize that what is
depicted on the nightly news is not an accurate representation of reality.
Rather, the true impetus, or driving force behind our global political
system, is rarely ever seen by the American public. The real decision-
makers lurk in the shadows, plotting and planning, then using their
operational arms such as the CIA, Mossad, other intelligence agencies,
and Organized Crime to do their bidding. As Michael Collins Piper tells us,
these groups  the money launderers, drug dealers, killers and crooks  are
the only entities able to operate outside of societal laws and mores. The
Controllers  international bankers, heads of multinational corporations,
and top ranking members of secret societies  guide our world, then use
their implementers to carry forth their decisions. Politicians are one of
the guises used in front of the scenes, while the CIA, Mossad, and Mob
take care of their dirty dealings far- removed from public scrutiny. Im
sorry to say, but this is the way our world operates.

One of the primary reasons that John F. Kennedy got assassinated was
because he dared to interfere with this tenuous framework of power.
More specifically, JFK, realizing how out-of-control these various agencies
were, wanted to rein them in and bring them all under one roof, giving his
brother Bobby jurisdiction over all of them. He also planned on getting rid
of master-manipulator J. Edgar Hoover (who was very aware of their plans,
but out of sheer self-interest had no incentive to uncover the truth about
Kennedys murder). To make matters worse for himself, Kennedy fired CIA
Director Allen Dulles, who was one of the dirtiest backroom wheeler-
dealers of all-time. (Incredibly, Dulles would later serve on the Warren
Commission! Talk about having the deck stacked against you.)

FOREWORD,

In 1898 the Americans came to our country in force and in a series of rapid maneuvers seized state power. Filipino resistance to the American invasion was prolonged and bitterly fought. It was a virtually suicidal struggle sustained for ten years against an enemy armed with superior technology and vast resources, an enemy which unleashed "depopulation campaigns" of such unprecedented ferocity that they sent hundreds of thousands of our countrymen to an early grave. The United States established a colony in the Philippines which behind a more sophisticated facade remains in force even to this day.

Why did this happen? Why did the Americans come here? What was their purpose? What was their motive? For many years, the real motives of the American Command were kept hidden not only from the Filipino people but also from the vast majority of the American people. Filipino nationalist writers have given their answers to these questions based on available documents and an anti-imperialist analytical framework. In this book, Luzviminda Bartolome Francisco, a Filipina of peasant origins, and Jonathan Shepard Fast, an American writer, provide us with a new analysis, using corporate records and other primary source material, heretofore undiscovered or otherwise unavailable.

Why has a study of this type taken so long in coming? There are three reasons. First, to understand the real motives of the men who shaped American policy, men such as William McKinley, Nelson Aldrich, Mark Hanna and Henry Havemeyer, it is necessary to understand some of the intricacies of corporate affairs and the degree to which certain corporations, e.g. the American Sugar Refining Company, had command of the political process in America in the' 1890's. It is also necessary to understand that the members of the "Aldrich Gang" had a powerful motive to prevent their real purpose from being discovered. For these were not public men, despite their prominence in the affairs of the American nation. Although they worked closely together they were most often to be found meeting privately in each other's homes, Clubs, and yachts, or at exclusive resorts such as the Jekyll Island Club in Georgia, where they knew they could make their plans free from public gaze. When they did correspond, which was infrequently, their letters often ended with the warning to each other: "read and burn." The McKinley Papers in the Library of Congress are the skimpiest of the American Presidential Collections. Aldrich's Papers, were, at his demand, sealed for fifty years after his death, and thereafter only portions were made available to the public. The Havemeyer Papers remain unavailable despite their historic importance to five nations.

Second, those few who were party to what Francisco and Fast call "the conspiracy" had an overwhelmingly powerful motive to fabricate colonial objectives which they thought would win popular support for their policies.

African workers were told that imperialism would be. to their advantage in terms of higher wages and steady employment as industry, geared up to supply the markets of the East. American farmers were told cotton and wheat prices would inevitably rise as American farm products carved out markets in Asia. Filipinos were told it was all being dome for their own good.

Third, Filipinos suffered special handicaps when it came to developing an analysis of what had happened to their country. The greatest of these was a highly successful system of censorship, sometimes explicit, sometimes de facto which prohibited any independent Filipino investigation of the facts surrounding American imperialism until decades after the event. The American Commander in the Philippine-American War, General Arthur McArthur, remarked in a candid moment that it Would take "ten years of bayonet treatment" to subdue the Filipinos and another three generations of propagandizing to eliminate from the Filipino mind consciousness of what had happened.

Even the documents of our own participation in the anti-imperialist struggle were denied to us. Approximately 650 file cases pertaining to all aspects of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines were seized by the Americans at the turn of the century and removed to Washington where for decades they remained under lock and key.

It should come as little comfort for us to discover that the American people themselves do not know the real nature of their imperial past. The fact that a giant,

society is called the Boule' aka. Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity,
Incorporated, founded May 15, 1904 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.

 This is the 1st black fraternity in america and was before
the 1st black college frat, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity
Incorporated which was founded December 4, 1906. 

 The Boule' is a black GREEK secret society based on another
secret society founded at Yale University called Skull 
Bones. The Boule's primary founder was Dr. Henry Minton
(along with Dr.'s Eugene T. Henson, Edwin Clarence Howard,
Algernon Brashear Jackson, Robert Jones Abele and Richard
John Warrick), of Philadelphia. The founding member of the
New York City chapter, WEB DuBois, said the Boule' was
created to keep the black professional away from the ranks

WASHINGTON -- In his 2002 State of the Union address, President Bush (news - web sites)
declared that the federal budget deficit ''will be small and short-term.''

A year later, the administration admits the government's return to borrowing will be
neither small nor short-term. ''We are looking at (a deficit) for the foreseeable
future,'' White House Budget Director Mitch Daniels said last week.

The reasons are many. The economy's slowdown and Wall Street's decline curbed the 
growth
of tax collections. The Sept. 11 attacks and the battle against terrorism sent defense
and homeland security costs soaring. Bush's tax cuts in 2001 reduced anticipated 
federal
revenue by $1.35 trillion over a decade; his latest proposal would cut future revenue 
by
$674 billion more. And the government must spend more to cover the escalating costs of
Medicare and Medicaid programs for the elderly, disabled and poor.

Bush will release on Feb. 4 his budget proposal for 2004. Daniels said it would show a
deficit of $300 billion or more. That would be the largest deficit in U.S. history,
surpassing the $290 billion reached in Bush's father's administration in 1992. As a
percentage of the $10 trillion national economy, however, it would be less than in the
1980s and early 1990s.

A new forecast is due from the Congressional Budget Office (news - web sites) (CBO) 
next
week that will show much bigger deficits than were projected last year.

The turnaround from heady talk of trillions of dollars in surpluses has been rapid.

In 2001, when Bush won tax cuts of $1.35 trillion over a decade, Congress and the White
House forecast more than $5 trillion in budget surpluses over the same period. Nearly a
decade of spending restraints and tax increases during the early 1990s, combined with a
bull market that boosted capital gains, had turned deficits to surpluses beginning in
1999.

But by 2001, as terrorist attacks rocked the nation, the surplus began falling. In 
2002,
the government ran a $157 billion deficit. And by last August, the Congressional Budget
Office had reduced its estimate of the surplus to a fraction of its previous forecast 
--
$336 billion over 10 years.

Some Republicans have grown alarmed at the rising deficit. They are voicing caution 
about
Bush's tax-cut plans. Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, commissioned projections that show
the deficit could total $2.89 trillion over 10 years if spending continues to rise at
current levels and the 2001 tax cuts are made permanent.

Tom Kahn, Democratic staff director for the House Budget Committee, says he expects the
new CBO forecast will show a deficit every year for the next decade. Last summer,
surpluses were predicted by 2006. ''The biggest fiscal switch-around in U.S. history,''
Kahn says. ''Going from a $5.6 trillion surplus to a $2 trillion deficit is just mind-
boggling.''

The new projection won't include the cost of a potential war with Iraq, which could add
tens of billions of dollars to the deficit. Congressional experts say the cost of
occupying Iraq after a war, also not in the CBO forecast, could be even larger. Demands
for services, such as a prescription-drug benefit for seniors, could add more.

In a symbol of how things have changed, Republicans who made a balanced federal budget
one of the tenets of their ''Contract With America'' in 1994 have dropped talk of the
dangers of debt. Now they say more federal borrowing won't drive up long-term interest
rates and harm the economy, as they once argued.

''Definitely, it's a big turnaround, and definitely, it's bad news. Having money is
better than not having money,'' says Kevin Hassett, an economist at the conservative
American Enterprise Institute who favors Bush's tax policies. But ''in terms of 
economic
impact of the deficits, for me there's no compelling evidence that they affect interest
rates.''

Democrats are eager to blame Bush and his 2001 tax cuts. They say his latest tax cuts
would add $900 billion to the deficit over the next decade because of increased 
interest
payments on the debt.

''Instead of being virtually debt-free, the president's policies are exploding the
debt,'' says Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., former chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.

This isn't necessarily true.  During the Iran-Iraq war there were some
concerns about this but the Iraqis stuck with the Iraqis.  Just as the
Ba'athists in Syria don't necesarily get along with the Ba'athists in Iraq.

There's a former U.S. congressman running around the world these days
blaming America for the Sept.
11 terrorist attacks.

His name is Paul Findley, and from 1961 through 1983, he served as a
Republican member of the House of Representatives from the state of
Illinois.

Last year, he said President Bush had it all wrong when he told the nation
that we were attacked by evil and fanatical Islamic terrorists on Sept. 11.
The real cause of the devastation our nation experienced that day was
because of our unjustified support for the nation of Israel, he explained.

Findley shares that view with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Syrian
President Bashar Assad, the mullahs of Iran, the sheikhs of Hamas and the
fanatical terrorists of Hezbollah.

Just before Sept. 11, Findley released a book called Silent No More, an
attempt to improve the image of Islam in the United States and vilify his
arch-enemy Israel. Obviously, the book didn't do very well in post-Sept. 11
America. But don't feel sorry for Findley. He seems to find enough money
to travel the world and give speeches  particularly in the Middle East.

Findley has never gotten over the fact that he was turned out of office
because of his own somewhat fanatical support of Yasser Arafat in 1982,
even while serving as a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs
Committee.

Recently, in Saudi Arabia, Findley explained the Bush administration had
overreacted to the Sept. 11 attacks. Overreacted. He thinks most
Americans don't understand the complexities of the Middle East debate
because they have been hoodwinked and deceived.

They have been misled by the American media, which is controlled by the
Jewish lobby, he said.

Findley thinks he was defeated by the Jewish lobby, and he thinks
Americans are deceived by the Jewish lobby.

He couldn't be more wrong.

The truth is there weren't enough Jews in his congressional district to
vote him out of office in 1982  even if every single one of them opposed
him. And the truth is there aren't enough Jews in this country to generate
the broad political support Israel enjoys in every single public opinion
survey done over the last 50 years.

Findley was turned out of office not by Jews, but by Christians. And Israel
gets most of its political support in the United States not from Jews but
from Christians.

Therefore, it's not the Jewish lobby that gets the credit for defeating this
clown and for supporting the only free country in the Middle East, it's the
Christian lobby.

Why do American Christians support Israel so loyally and enthusiastically?

The strong evangelical church in America can read the Bible and see that
the Jews' only historic home is in Israel.
Most Christians understand that Jesus was a Jew who lived in a Jewish
state, albeit one under the colonial rule of the Roman Empire.
They understand that God chose to reveal Himself to the Jewish people
and the nation of Israel.
They don't see a nation of Palestine mentioned in the Old Testament or
New  with good reason: It never existed before or since, except in the
imaginations of people like Yasser Arafat.
They believe God made certain promises to the nation of Israel and that
today's Jewish state is a manifestation of those promises.
They understand that their Holy Scriptures indicate God will bless those
who bless Israel and curse those who curse it. They don't want to be on
the wrong side of that spiritual equation.
They understand their own salvation, in the person of Jesus, chose to
come through the House of David and minister principally to the Jews.
They grasp that the Jews alone  with the help of God, of course  have
made the deserts bloom in that Holy land, just as the prophets predicted.
They comprehend that the Jews alone formed a free society in the Middle
East.
They can see that Israel has been an ally to the United States and a friend
to the free world throughout its 50-year history of rebirth.

In other words, Christians can see what people like Findley can't. Anti-
Semites like Findley aren't only at war with a few million Jews, they are

Whither Colin Powell?

Because Colin Powell has been relied upon to impede the nation's march
to war in Iraq, apprehensive Republicans were startled last week by his
suddenly bellicose rhetoric. So were investors, and they sent the Dow
Jones average into a 238-point swoon Friday. Yet, the secretary of state
had not yet joined the war hawks pressing for the military overthrow of
Saddam Hussein.

Powell, a master at negotiating the national security bureaucracy's
dangerous waters over the past generation, knows that now is not the
hour to publicly dissent from President Bush's hard line or give Iraq the
impression of a divided U.S. government. Beneath the surface, however,
Powell remains the voice of restraint against unilateral action.

That is one cause of Powell's genuine anger when France joined Germany
in counting itself out of an attack on Baghdad. It prevented a solid
coalition and also contributed to the contempt by the administration's
hawks against alliance warfare, with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld
sneering that France and Germany are ''old Europe.''

Powell is reported as even more frustrated by the mindless intransigence
of the Iraqi regime. Officials in Baghdad who have had indirect, unofficial
contact with Powell have begged for some counsel from Washington on
how to avert a war they would be doomed to lose. The secretary of state--
also indirectly and unofficially--asked for confessions of weapons violations
from the regime. All he got was the ''discovery'' of four empty chemical
weapons warheads.

Nevertheless, prospects for war are unchanged at this writing: probable
but not inevitable. After debate at the White House, it was decided to
hold open the president's State of the Union address Tuesday to take note
of Monday's report by United Nations weapons inspectors. One senior aide
told me the president had not given the go sign for war. Until Powell's
warlike comments last Thursday, critics of unilateral action felt the climate
was turning against war.

These critics are apprehensive about the diplomatic fallout--not the
military outcome--of the Anglo-Americans going it alone. Nobody gives
credence to Rumsfeld's comments last week that ''a very large number of
countries . . . are anxious'' to join a military campaign.

On the day of Rumsfeld's comments, signals from Ankara indicated Turkey is
not so ''anxious.'' Bulint Arinc, speaker of the Turkish Parliament, declined
a luncheon invitation from U.S. Ambassador Robert Pearson. The chairmen
of Parliament's foreign affairs and defense committees spurned similar
invitations. Disaffection by Iraq's neighbor is more significant than Franco-
German opposition.

Worried Republicans, while avoiding a split with their president, cannot
restrain their concern. In his syndicated column last week, Jack Kemp
praised Bush's handling of Iraq and then issued this warning: ''We are so
close to victory that it would be a tragedy if a few war hawks pushed us
into an unnecessary invasion and occupation of an Arab country.'' The
GOP's 1996 vice presidential candidate concluded that ''now is the time to
sit down across the table from the Iraqis, eyeball to eyeball, and tell them
precisely what they must do to avoid war.''

Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, second-ranking Republican on the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee, is in the same boat as Kemp.

''America must guard against the hubris of great power,'' he declared at the
University of Notre Dame on Friday. He cited The Savage Wars of Peace by
Max Boot, senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and an
intellectual guide of the war hawks. ''In deploying American power,'' Boot
writes, ''decision makers should be less apologetic, less hesitant, less
humble.'' Hagel advised that America today ''needs more humility.''

Nobody doubts that Powell is closer to Hagel than to Boot. In a dinner
with the president last Aug. 5, Powell laid out the fearsome consequences
of unilateral U.S. military action. Surely, the general did not change that
much during the intervening six months. Whether events have made his
comments irrelevant worries like-minded Republicans.

address.

A table in the middle of the faxed page conveyed the
overwhelming slant in favor of liberal anti-tax cut arguments:

Now, the text of the January 27 Media Reality Check study by
Rich Noyes:

As they set the table for President Bush's State of the Union
speech, network reporters have been busy as bees asserting that
three liberal Democratic arguments against Bush's tax cut plan
aren't just spin -- they're facts. A Media Research Center study
of all 28 tax cut stories on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening
newscasts from January 2 (when coverage of Bush's imminent plan
began) through January 15 (after coverage had abated) determined
that those liberal points received much more time than
conservative counter-arguments -- and that journalists themselves
often echoed the anti-tax cut talking points:

 Liberals argued Bush's plan only comforts the rich. Viewers
heard this point made by news sources 27 times and from reporters
themselves another ten times. The bigger your wallet, the bigger
the benefit, CBS reporter Byron Pitts insisted on January 6 as he
presented the tax cut as liberals wished, in terms of dollars
saved, not the percentage tax reduction each family would receive.
Emphasizing percentages shows the benefits would be larger for
lower income families, but viewers heard just seven sources (all
Republicans) challenge the liberal presentation, and no reporter
ever did. That computes to a six-to-one liberal skew on this
issue, hardly balance.

It's not as if every expert agreed with Tom Daschle. The Tax
Foundation used IRS figures to show how the current tax code
punishes the rich -- the top 10 percent of Americans (those
earning over $92,114) account for 46 percent of all income earned
in the U.S., but pay 67.3 percent of income taxes. As Washington
Post reporters Dana Milbank and Chris Jenkins noted January 10,
Treasury figures show the share of the tax burden borne by those
earning more than $100,000 would rise from 72.4 percent to 73.3
percent if Bush's plan was enacted. That's helping the rich?

Two NBC reporters -- Campbell Brown and Lisa Myers -- did tell
viewers (in general terms) that the rich pay a far higher share of
current taxes, but ABC and CBS completely omitted even this basic
fact. And no network reporter even hinted that the tax burden
would fall even more heavily on the wealthy if Bush's plan became
law.

 Liberals argued that costly tax cuts will worsen the deficit.
Viewers heard this liberal point made a dozen times -- three times
from reporters, nine times from sources -- with only four
responses, all from GOP sources, a three-to-one tilt in favor of
the liberal argument. White House officials [are]...confident
that the President will get a lot of what he wants, ABC's Terry
Moran ominously warned, but there's a cost to that kind of
success -- a ballooning deficit.

But economist Steve Moore wrote in the February 10 National Review
that the media are listening to the wrong experts: In 1997, when
the capital gains tax rate was cut, the crystal-ball gazers
predicted a multibillion-dollar ?cost' to the Treasury; in fact,
the receipts doubled in four years. These are precisely the same

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME IN

I hope in this short paper to provide the reader a description of the 
primary key that the Worlds power brokers are using, and how it unlocks our 
minds to perform their agenda. With the description of this key, my hope is that 
people will be able to construct their lives and behavior to destroy the power 
of this key, which is the double bind. The setting for this paper is the 
situation we find ourselves in the year 2003.
 
The powerful bloodlines that manipulate the affairs of this planet 
learned this valuable double bind key to control people thousands of years ago. 
In fact, they tried this key on Christ, and he is one of the few people that it 
didnt work on. The key to controlling people is not to dominate and force the 
mind to do what it doesnt want, but to take advantage of the ways and paths the 
mind normally wants to go down. Once a persons thinking or a peoples thinking 
is deeply understood, a double bind is employed which causes (in a natural way) 
for things to happen. In other words, there seems to be no choice, so the 
preplanned fate is accepted.  
Double-binds 
can be created because people feel compelled to follow their instincts 
(especially survival instincts), God, the Bible, the Koran, the crowd, their 
national leaders, the laws, the orders of their superiors, and the expectations 
of family and friends. Anything that compels people to feel locked into a 
particular course of action is open to manipulation. The mechanism that removes 
the power of the double bind is to see our choices, our options, and to ignore 
the fear generated by the supposed negative consequences of doing what is 
right.
 
We are watching the double bind in action today. Part of the double bind 
is controlled conflict (also called Hegelian dialectics). We must learn to step 
through the double bind.
 
Lets examine the main conflict that the elites mass media is focusing 
our attention on, Iraq and the Middle East. The overall conflict is itself made up 
of smaller conflicts: Palestinian Rights vs. Israels Existence, Kurdish Rights 
vs. Iraqs Existence, Western Economic Stability vs. Moslem Self-determination 
free of neo colonialism, security from Islamic terrorism vs. security from 
Western and Israeli terrorism, Islams path to salvation vs. Christianitys path 
to salvation and so on. There are many other smaller conflicts but the reader 
has the idea. Many small fires have been built to create a larger 
conflagration.
 
The danger is that we get caught up in naturally reacting to what is 
happening without seeing the bigger picture. For instance, all over the world 
people have been reacting to George Bushs saber-rattling and lust for war. In 
response to Bushs outrageous aggression toward Iraq, there have been millions 
of people around the world who have taken to the streets in protest against the 
upcoming war. Here we have action 
and reaction.
 
However, if the peace protests get out of hand, then the International 
community (i.e. the U.N. or NATO, which is a fig leaf for the New World Order) 
will be forced to send peacekeeping troops into various parts of the world. 
Alternately, if the peace protesters stay at home, then the world is plunged 
into a senseless, costly nightmare. (And the nightmares of the 20th 
century are still fresh in the minds of many survivors of the 20th 
century.)
 
There doesnt seem to be good answers. That is the perverse beauty of the 
double bind.
 
With Christ, they tried to trap him by asking him double bind 
questions. Should we pay taxes to a 
tyrannical government? Should we 
obey the law of the Sabbath or do good?

WASHINGTON, Jan 19, 2003 -- A company that provided security at New York City's World Trade Center, Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., and to United Airlines between 1995 and 2001, was backed by a private Kuwaiti-American investment firm with ties to a brother of President Bush and the Bush family, according to records obtained by the American Reporter.

Two planes hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001 were United Airlines planes, and another took off from Dulles International Airport; two, of course, slammed into the World Trade Center. But the Bush Administration has never disclosed the ties of a presidential brother and the Bush family with the firm that intersected the weapons and targets on a day of national tragedy.

Marvin P. Bush, a younger brother of George W. Bush, was a principal in the company from 1993 to 2000, when most of the work on the big projects was done. But White House responses to 9/11 have not publicly disclosed the company's part in providing security to any of the named facilities, and many of the public records revealing the relationships are not public.

Nonetheless, public records reveal that the firm, formerly named Securacom, listed Bush on its board of directors and as a significant shareholder. The firm, now named Stratesec, Inc., is located in Sterling, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C., and emphasizes federal clients. Bush is no longer on the board.

Marvin Bush has not responded to repeated telephoned and emailed requests for comment on this story.

The American Stock Exchange delisted Stratesec's stock in October 2002. Securacom also had a contract to provide security at Los Alamos National Laboratories, notorious for its security breaches and physical and intellectual property thefts.

According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down." Yet instead of being investigated, the company and companies involved with it have benefited from legislation pushed by the Bush White House and rubber-stamped by Congressional Republicans. Stratesec, its backer KuwAm, and their corporate officers stand to benefit from limitations on liability and national-security protections from investigation provided in bills since 9/11.

HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc., a reinsurance corporation on whose board Marvin Bush sat as director until November 2002, similarly benefits from terrorism insurance protections. (Bush's first year on the board at HCC coincided with his last year on the board at Stratesec.) HCC, formerly Houston Casualty Company, carried some of the insurance for the World Trade Center. It posted a loss for the quarter after the attacks of Sept. 11 and dropped participation in worker's compensation as a result. Bush remains an adviser to the chairman and the Board of Directors, as well as a member of the company's investment committee.

The former CEO of Stratesec is Wirt D. Walker III, who is still chairman of the board. Although he has also been the managing director of KuwAm for several years, Walker states definitively in phone interviews that there was no exchange of talent between Stratesec and KuwAm during the World Trade Center and other projects.

As Walker put it, "I'm an investment banker." He continued, "We just owned some stock." The investment company "was not involved in any way in the work or day-to-day operations" of the security company. He explained clearly and pleasantly that there was no sharing of information or of personnel between the two companies.

In December 2000 - when the outcome of the U.S. presidential election was determined - Stratesec added a government division, providing "the same full range of security systems services as the Commercial Division," the company says. Stratesec now has "an open-ended contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) and a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the agency that allows the government to purchase materials and services from the Company without having to go through a full competition."

The company lists as government clients "the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S Air force, and the Department of Justice," in projects that "often require state-of-the-art security solutions for classified or high-risk government sites." In 2000, the U.S. Army accounted for 29 percent of the company's earned revenues, or about $6.9 million.

Ritter questions federal action
Ex-arms inspector is critical of the timing
of ruling to unseal 2001 arrest records

Former U.N. chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter on Saturday questioned the decision by federal investigators to reopen sealed files in a two-year old case involving charges he allegedly tried to use Internet to lure an underage girl to a sexual encounter.

"I wish that everyone would understand how much the timing of this whole thing just stinks," Ritter said Saturday from his Delmar home. Ritter declined to comment further.

Ritter, who resigned his position as chief weapons inspector in 1998, has become a high-profile opponent of President Bush's plans for war against Iraq and has traveled to that country as a peace advocate.

He was to travel to the country last week on a mission of peace when it was revealed that the 41-year-old was arrested in June 2001 and charged with a Class B misdemeanor for allegedly setting up a sexual rendezvous with a person whom he thought was a 16-year-old girl but who was really an undercover Colonie cop.

The case was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal, meaning the charges would be dropped and the records sealed if he didn't break the law for a six-month period. But last week, after news of that arrest surfaced, State Supreme Court Justice Joseph C. Teresi signed an order unsealing the Ritter file after a request by federal prosecutors in the Albany office of the U.S. Attorney who, sources said, may be looking to further prosecute the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys William Pericak and Thomas Spina Jr., who has been prosecuting computer crime cases for years, sought the unsealing of the records, sources said. Now that federal prosecutors have the records, they must obtain permission from the U.S. Department of Justice before they can bring a prosecution.

A possible federal case against Ritter could include the charge of using the Internet to entice a minor to engage in criminal activity, sources say.

Quite possibly the most important court trial of the 1990’s (yes, even more relevant than O.J.) was E. Howard Hunt vs. The Spotlight newspaper. Although I won’t delve into the circumstances surrounding it, juror Leslie Armstrong told The Spotlight in their November 11, 1991 issue, “Mr. Lane [representing the defendant] was asking us [the jury] to do something very difficult. He was asking us to believe John Kennedy had been killed by our own government. Yet when we examined the evidence closely, we were compelled to conclude that the CIA had indeed killed President Kennedy.” This information is extremely important to 20th century history, yet the mainstream media gave it virtually no coverage due to its explosive nature. I suppose they were saving everything to see if O.J.’s glove fit.

The vital point being made, and one confirmed by the Church Committee in 1975, was that a conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy did exist, and that it extended directly into the U.S. Government. To fully understand the ramifications of this information, one needs to be aware of what the CIA has been doing since it formed out of the OSS after WWII. Although time prevents me from engaging in a lengthy discourse, you should research “Project Paperclip” where Nazi scientists were secretly relocated to America after the war. You can also investigate the CIA’s illegal mind control experiments, their illicit drug tests on unwitting subjects, their drug trafficking activities, how they’ve successfully infiltrated the American corporate media, and their assassinations of various world leaders. In other words, these guys have, and still are, dirty up to their eyeballs.

To fully understand not only this branch of Intelligence, but also the broader spectrum of how our world works, we need to realize that what is depicted on the nightly news is not an accurate representation of reality. Rather, the true impetus, or driving force behind our global political system, is rarely ever seen by the American public. The real decision-makers lurk in the shadows, plotting and planning, then using their ‘operational arms’ such as the CIA, Mossad, other intelligence agencies, and Organized Crime to do their bidding. As Michael Collins Piper tells us, these groups – the money launderers, drug dealers, killers and crooks – are the only entities able to operate outside of societal laws and mores. The Controllers – international bankers, heads of multinational corporations, and top ranking members of secret societies – “guide” our world, then use their “implementers” to carry forth their decisions. Politicians are one of the “guises” used in front of the scenes, while the CIA, Mossad, and Mob take care of their dirty dealings far-removed from public scrutiny. I’m sorry to say, but this is the way our world operates.

One of the primary reasons that John F. Kennedy got assassinated was because he dared to interfere with this tenuous framework of power. More specifically, JFK, realizing how out-of-control these various agencies were, wanted to rein them in and bring them all under one roof, giving his brother Bobby jurisdiction over all of them. He also planned on getting rid of master-manipulator J. Edgar Hoover (who was very aware of their plans, but out of sheer self-interest had no incentive to uncover the truth about Kennedy’s murder). To make matters worse for himself, Kennedy fired CIA Director Allen Dulles, who was one of the dirtiest backroom wheeler-dealers of all-time. (Incredibly, Dulles would later serve on the Warren Commission! Talk about having the deck stacked against you.)

Arthur Krock wrote in The New York Times about this battle between Kennedy and the CIA on October 3, 1963, saying that the CIA “represents a tremendous power and total unaccountability to anyone.” Krock also referred to someone close to Kennedy in the White House who said that if anyone ever tried to takeover the U.S. Government, it would be the CIA, and that JFK was no longer able to keep them in reins. Now remember, this was only a month-and-a-half before that fateful day in Dallas.

Reinforcing how out-of-control the CIA was at this time, attorney and researcher Mark Lane wrote in The Spotlight on February 17, 1992, “President Kennedy sent Henry Cabot Lodge, his Ambassador to Vietnam, with orders to the CIA on two separate occasions and in both cases the CIA ignored these orders, saying that it was different from what the

I noted with interest Secretary Rumsfeldâs recent announcement of the transformation of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This unified commandâcomprised of a small, elite group of highly trained operatorsânormally operates in the shadows, but it is suddenly not only very visible, it is also underfunded, undermanned, and overextended. Â

Rumsfeldâs recent announcement is a fundamental change and it bears closer scrutiny. This piece also attempts to draw some interesting, if not ominous, parallels between the ânewâ SOCOM and the Waffen-SS. Â

Commanders of conventional forces have often misunderstood special operations troops, their capabilities, and how best to employ them. This sometimes resulted in them being kept âout of the wayâ when the shooting started. Desert Storm was no exception. Combat search and rescue (CSAR) of downed pilots was a dedicated special ops mission in that campaign, but it may soon disappear for them, along with several others due to the demands being placed upon SOCOM in the War on Terror. Â

Rowan Scarborough writes in The Washington Times, âDefense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld announced yesterday he has given new power to the nation's covert warriors to kill and capture al Qaeda operatives and other terrorists. [Emphasis mine.] Â

âIn a significant transformation of U.S. Special Operations Command, Mr. Rumsfeld said the command in Tampa, Fla., and its satellite units around the world, can now plan and execute their own hunt-and-destroy missions.â Â

This is a sea change of monumental proportions regarding the employment of special operators, especially from the perspective of commanders of conventional forces. Â

âPreviously, Special Operations Commandâ¦played a lesser role by providing warriors to combatant commands that planned and supervised attacks. The defense secretary's announcement marked a major promotion in status and authority for special operations . . . . The aim is to give [SOCOM] the tools to find terrorists and then dispatch commandos to catch or kill them in a matter of hours, not days. Before [it] was focused on training and equipping some 47,000 personnel. Now, it will also devise secret missions and command the operation.â Â

â[O]fficials told The Times that [SOCOMâs] $4.9 billion annual budget will be increased to $6 billion in fiscal 2004. In all, it will receive a $7 billion increase to buy new weapons and equipment, and accommodate the [4,000] new personnel.â Â

Not only is SOCOM receiving national level attention, it is also being given unprecedented authority and funding, in addition to the ability to plan and execute its own covert missions, with support from theater conventional forces. You would be very hard pressed to find an operator who isnât jumping up and down over this announcement with a huge grin on his face. Â

But what has any of this to do with the Waffen-SS? Plenty, if you look for parallels. Rob Fitzgibbon has a wonderful Waffen-SS website from which the following extracts were lifted. [My emphasis in bold.] Â

âThe SSVT or "special purpose" troops were several SS paramilitary battalions combined between 1935 and 1938. The purpose of SSVT was never entirely clear, since national defense was already in the capable hands of the Wehrmacht, or German Armed Forces. Himmler and Hitler never came up with a satisfactory answer, usually referring to the SSVT as a Weltanschauliche Truppe or "political soldiers" that served Hitler directly as "the spearhead of National Socialism." Essentially, the purpose of the SSVT was whatever Hitler and Himmler wanted; its existence became Himmler's justification for the continued growth of the SS.â Â

âThe Waffen-SS - which translates as "Weapon-SS" or "Armed-SS", was the military wing of the Schutzstaffel. It's conceptual origins lay in the "politische bereitschaften"--or "political ready reserves" in the early days of the Nazi movement. These reserves were the fanatical Nazis who would protect the party leaders and ruthlessly attack all enemies during the political chaos of Germany in the 1920s '30s. It is important to distinguish that serving in the Waffen-SS (a military organization with foreign troops and conscription) wasn't the same as membership in the SS (a Nazi political organization and executive arm for racial Germans), although the two states commingled. The Waffen-SS was expected to be a military organization absolutely and perfectly obedient and loyal to its master, Adolf Hitler.â Â

âWhen Hitler began WWII, RFSS Himmler wanted to ensure that the SS--guardians of the internal security of the Reich--got their share of the military glory. In early 1940, he combined . . . three units [Leibstandarte, SSVT, and SSTK] into the "Waffen-SS." By August, 1940, Hitler Himmler further defined the purpose of the

American President George W. Bush keeps talking about the need to disarm Saddam Hussein. The American people, as well as the whole world, will have to live in fear until Iraq has the weapons of mass destruction. This is what American mass media report. Hundreds of UN inspectors can not find anything scary in Iraq. There are some people, for example, the former chief of the CIA counterintelligence, who think that the version about Saddamâs weapons is simply a hoax.

Novelist John le Carre wrote in his article âThe United States of America Has Gone Mad:â Baghdad represents no clear and present danger to its neighbours, and none to the US or Britain. Saddamâs weapons of mass destruction, if heâs still got them, will be peanuts by comparison with the stuff Israel or America could hurl at him at five minutesâ notice.â

Le Carre actually questions the issue of legitimacy of the UN Security Councilâs Resolution 1441, which obliged Iraq to cooperate with numerous inspectors. This resolution, as well as previous ones, virtually deprived Iraq of the right to stand for its sovereignty. Weapons of mass destruction have been saved all over the world. As a rule, they are not legally banned. This means that the UN acts on the ground of a double standard: someone has a right to keep those weapons and other do not. What are the criteria then? Isnât the USA the only country that misuses those weapons? The first two A-bombs (the last ones so far) that America dropped on Japan killed 400 thousand civilians and resulted in a very serious burden for the whole world - the arms race. The biological weapons was launched in January of 1952, when the USA dropped cans of infected insects on the deployment sites of Chinese troops in Korea. Those cans were similar to the ones that were developed by Japanese Unit 731, when it developed biological weapons in 1932-1945. The Japanese did not venture to use those cans, although they killed several hundreds of war prisoners during experiments. The Americans saved the chief of that unit Shiro Ishii from trial and execution. The States hired him to work for its labs. In Vietnam (1962-1971) the USA sprayed 70 million liters of the so-called orange agent, which contained dioxin. Even microscopic particles of this chemical substance destroy hormones, reduce immunity and cause cancer. In Vietnam, the Americans decided to destroy the jungle in order not to let Vietnamese guerrillas hide there. Seven hundred thousand people suffer from horrible dioxin-caused diseases: those people, who took part in that war, their children and grandchildren.

The Storm in the Desert (1991) ended up with numerous cancer diseases because of enriched uranium weapons. About 80% of uranium substance gets dissolved in the atmosphere, while its radioactive particles get accumulated on fields, rivers and lakes. Uranium 238 half-decomposition takes thousands of years. In 1995 American planes dropped 10.800 bombs like that on Sarajevo, which made the statistics of oncological diseases increase 2.5 times there. NATO Secretary-General George Robertson said that there were 31 thousand bombs like that used in the aggression against Serbia (1999).

The American weapons of mass destruction kill both allies and even American soldiers. It transpired that the USAâs losses were scheduled to be on the level of 50 thousand men before the Storm in the Desert was launched. However, there were only 604 American soldiers killed. The USA was happy about it, but the happiness was gone after the outburst of the so-called Persian Gulf veteranâs disease. This disease killed 7758 people by April of 2002. In addition to that, 198 thousand people claim a compensation for their lost health. All those people died over their own toxic weapons.

It goes without saying that the global proliferation of those weapons is not desirable. However, one may understand a certain attraction to them. Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, said a year ago in Moscow that everything needed to be balanced in life: âBalance is required for international affairs as well. If Russia could balance the power of other states, a lot of weaker countries would have a chance to choose and change their sides. The two sides would behave in a decent way.â

Does it seem to be Cold War nostalgic? Why not? As soon as the world order stopped being bipolar, a lot of countries that treasure their sovereignty realized that they could not count on anyone except themselves. This was the only way to provide security. That is why the ânuclear clubâ had two more members from South Asia. Back in the heady days of the last century, the composition of government was a fine balance between decent individuals and outright criminals. Terrorism existed but any notion of a âwar on terrorismâ was scoffed at because reasonable people didnât see how a war on an abstract term could ever be won. Even if you wiped out every terrorist organisation on the planet, new ones would eventually emerge.

The criminal element of the state realized that in order to overthrow the genuine sector of government they had to create enemies and then play them off against these good-natured representatives. The typical scenario would be that a terrorist group attacks a country. The good-natured portion of government, thinking that the threat was independent, immediate and real, would react by imposing restrictions on the personal liberties of its citizens in a desperate attempt to prevent further attacks. Those citizens would then rise up in anger against these draconian measures and the so-called do-gooders would be kicked out of office. This would leave the criminals with a monopoly on government all as a result of the terrorist threat, which they had created in the first place. They would then be able to choose their own âdo-goodersâ who would take the blame for the next manufactured terrorist attack. All the while the liberties of the citizens slip further into the abyss and the overall agenda of the criminals, to erect a society in their image, is advanced.

Of course nowadays the criminals are in complete control and recklessly fund every terrorist group worth the name, sometimes even directly participating in the actual terrorist attacks. However, it is useful to trace back over history and uncover how this strategy materialized.

Hijacking Terror

After September 11 Israel hijacked the rhetoric of the âwar on terrorismâ and used it to stoke the fire of their own agenda, sanctioned within the wider context of the overall Globalist game plan. In a January 2003 UPI report, it was openly stated that Israel feel completely justified in admitting that Mossad will be carrying out political assassinations on American soil,

âIsrael is embarking upon a more aggressive approach to the war on terror that will include staging targeted killings in the United States and other friendly countries, former Israeli intelligence officials told United Press International. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has forbidden the practice until now, these sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.â

Of course, it has been known for decades that Mossad conduct so-called âpre-emptiveâ assassinations of political enemies on foreign shores. The public admission itself is what makes the story, not the details, which were already largely known.

Wind-up Terror Toy

Israelâs supposed arch-enemy, the terrorist group Hamas, was founded and funded by Israelâs dominant Likud party and continues to be bankrolled to this day by political bodies pushing a one world government system. This is not my opinion and I am not breaking an exclusive story. It is a documented fact reported on by mainstream news outlets and admitted by respected individuals within the US and Israeli governments and intelligence agencies.

The objectives of Hamas dovetail with those of the Likud, no settlement at all costs. Whenever the prospect of a workable peace settlement between the Israelis and Palestinians arises, Hamas or one of their offshoots blows a bus, restaurant or a hotel to pieces. This gives Israel the justification needed to scupper any agreement and further entrench their occupation of disputed lands. All the outsider sees is carnage, death and a mainstream media that spins the issue so that these atrocities somehow represent the wishes of the Palestinian people.

The Globalists have no intention of settling the conflict and will likely use it several years down the line to initiate a near-apocalyptic third world war that will fully ensconce their wicked empire. The final phase is a stage-managed âclash of civilizationsâ between the Arab world, possibly supported by China, and the west.

According to United Press International,

âIsrael and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years.â

Israel wanted to radicalize the dispute by moulding Hamas into a fundamentalist militant crusade to ape the Khomeini revolution in Iran. So much so that Israel groomed potential Hamas leaders, pressuring Israeli authorities to give them licenses to set up food kitchens, clinics, schools, and day-care centers, to create a governing structure alternative to Arafat's Fatah. Among those predicting the crash of the bubble market of the 1990s, this writer was among the first. Putting my money behind that prediction, I pulled my pension funds out of the market and placed them into bonds with a fixed rate of return.

Unfortunately, my pullout came in 1997, so we missed the last two and most bullish years of the great bull market.

However, as U.S. equity markets have tanked for three straight years – a pullback unseen since the Depression – and are now below where I ejected, my prediction is looking prescient.

Now, let me make a new one. The Global Economy is headed for the rocks.

The U.S. merchandise trade deficit in November shot over $500 billion a year, or 5 percent of Gross Domestic Product. We are shoveling out dollars at the rate of $1.5 billion a day to satisfy our craving for foreign goods. Foreigners are using these dollars to buy up U.S. stocks, bonds, property and businesses. Once the world's greatest creditor, we are now the world's greatest debtor nation, and going in deeper every day.

Now, the dollar has begun to fall. It has lost a fifth of its value against the euro. While a weak dollar will make U.S. exports attractive, in the short run it makes imports more expensive.

So, here is the financial situation of the world superpower: We are running a trade deficit near $500 billion a year and a budget deficit headed for $300 billion. We have a dollar that is falling against the euro, against the yen and against gold, and an economy that grew at an anemic rate in the last quarter.

While these twin deficits, and falling dollar, do not ensure a rise in interest rates, that would seem to be the way to bet. And if interests rates rise, that could collapse the housing market and put a stop to all that refinancing that has provided the cash to keep the economy going.

Nor is this all. President Bush appears about to launch a war in the middle of the world's gas station, with oil prices near $35 a barrel – another drag on the economy and consumers' capacity to re-ignite it. And this time, we will have to pay for the war ourselves. Indeed, the Israelis and Turks are already holding us up for billions more in aid, just to render passive assistance to American arms.

Nor is this all. Argentina – which has defaulted on scores of billions of dollars in private loans – last week played hardball with the International Monetary Fund, and won. The IMF is lending bankrupt Argentina the billions it needs to meet its overdue loan repayments – to the IMF.

That's right. Though Argentina has the cash to meet its obligations to the IMF and Inter-American Development Bank, it chose not to. Instead, Argentina demanded the IMF cough up the money for Argentina to make the payment to the IMF. Terrified it would otherwise have to declare its Argentine loans in default, and deal with that on its books, the IMF decided to participate in the scam.

The IMF is now doing exactly what it condemns the Japanese banks for doing, keeping worthless loans on its books at face value rather than confront the reality that the banks, too, are bust.

So, what does the future hold?

Without a dramatic turnaround in the economy, we are headed for deep water. With war and big tax cuts on the way, and the U.S. economy meandering along, our fiscal deficit is going to explode. And with the dollar falling and price of foreign goods rising, our trade deficit, now near $500 billion, will continue to expand.

Alan Greenspan may be forced to raise interest rates simply to put a floor under the dollar. Otherwise, it could sink to where it threatens U.S. leadership and foreign policy. And with states raising taxes to cover red ink, is Congress going to vote billions to bail out international banks and deadbeat countries that have just seen how Agentina ripped off the IMF?

International trade has been around at least since the days of Marco Polo, and Portuguese navigators sought a more secure route to the riches of the East than the Silk Road across a hostile Islamic world.

But the Global Economy is something new. It is built on several pillars. The U.S. dollar is the world's currency. The IMF and World Bank stand ready to rescue bankrupt nations about to default, to protect Western investors. Free-trade America consumes a lion's share of the world's production to maintain global prosperity.

Now, the dollar is falling, deadbeat nations are stiffing the IMF, U.S. dependency on imports is at record levels and growing, U.S. debt is soaring, U.S. production is sinking, and U.S. willingness to see its industrial base vanish is disappearing. Yes, a crisis impends. Just don't hold me to the date.

The interview with former UN chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter that makes up the bulk of this book, should have appeared as his testimony to a joint session of the Congress. The questions that author William Rivers Pitt poses, should have been asked by a panel of Senators and Congressmen, at the beginning of public hearings whose outcome could prevent a deadly war that could shape global politics for decades to come. If such an inquiry had taken place, the October 2002 vote in the U.S. Congress on a "war resolution," might have ended differently.

Ritter dispels hard-core myths that surround Iraqâhe shows that the credentials of "Saddam's Bombmaker"âKhidir Hamza, a frequent witness at Congressional hearingsâare not what they are trumped up to be. He reveals crucial facts about the biased testimony of Richard Spertzl, former head of the UN biological weapons inspection team; and more importantly, about the political agenda of Richard Butler, the former Australian diplomat who became chairman of UNSCOM, the UN's first weapons inspection team.

It is not too late for the U.S. Congress to get to the truth. Hearings that features Ritter's valuable testimony on Iraq could be a priority for the incoming 108th Congress.

As an example of how dangerous these myths are, Ritter cites the "pre-emptive war" speech by Vice President Dick Cheney in August 2002. He says, "The Vice President has been saying that Iraq might be two years away from building a nuclear bomb. Unless he knows something we don't, that's nonsense. And it doesn't appear he does, because whenever you press [Cheney] ... or other Bush Administration officials on these claims, they fall back on testimony by Richard Butler, my former boss, an Australian diplomat, and Khidre Hamza, an Iraqi defector who claims to be Saddam's bomb-maker. Neither of these people provide anything more than speculation to back up their assertions [The] record is without dispute. It's documented. We eliminated the nuclear program, and for Iraq to have reconstituted it would require undertaking activities eminently detectable by intelligence services."

In October 2001, Ritter told this author that he had challenged Butler to a debate about Iraq "anywhere, anytime," and that he has the knowledge and particulars that can prove that Butler is not truthful in his allegations about what Saddam Hussein and Iraq did. Ritter repeats the challenge to Butler in this new book. Hearings that challenge Butler, and investigate the possibility that an interlinked group of Iraqi dissidents, think-tankers, U.S. intelligence officials, and private financial conduits have provided false information about Iraq's danger, should also be a priority.

As someone who has covered the Iraq situation for EIR for years, I have spoken with and interviewed Scott Ritter on several occasions. I have read and watched his testimony to Congress; his speeches to peace groups, to a British parliamentary meeting, and to the National Assembly of Iraq. This interview with Ritter stands as one of the most important that has been published. There is much fresh information that is especially important in the "countdown" to Jan. 27, when the inspection teams from UNMOVIC and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) make their report to the UN Security Council.

Technical Details

This book puts on the record technical details about chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, that are extremely important in determining whether we will have war or peace. Ritter systematically takes up every allegation and refutes most that have been made about Iraq's weapons programs. He rigorously questions his own assumptions, and the assumptions of those who accuse Iraq of threatening the world with weapons of mass destruction.

These challengesâmany of them quite simpleâare eye-opening. The descriptions of UNSCOM's seven years of work, 1991-98, are crucial. Ritter's team were not librarians and accountants collecting figures. For example, Ritter describes the destruction of the Muthana State chemical weapons factory, first by bombing in the Gulf War, then by the UNSCOM teams. "We destroyed thousands of tons of chemical agent We had an incineration plant operating full time for years, burning tons of the stuff every day. We went out and blew up in place bombs, missiles, and warheads filled with this agent We hunted down this stuff and destroyed it."

Ritter doesn't excuse Iraq for lying from 1991 to 1996, about VX gas and about its nuclear weapons program. He details how Iraqi officials falsified reports on the VX program again and again; but ultimately the
