When my father was in the scottish police force they called him 'killer hennessey' - a sort of post war bruce willis !!! If your parents say that Dubya is good - who are we to argue ?? I think its just that to get a real handle on the sense of betrayal your folks would have to come to terms with the fact that the world they brought their son into is a pile of sh*t - and they have tried to work within its meaningless values all their life.
