The United States of Europe (now united under the ECU) are a bigger economic unit than USA. Name one thing the USA makes that Europe and Asia cannot make. Does the common language (English) give Americans an edge? Only for a while. Soon human language translators will become a common feature, attached to telephones, tv sets etc. What about space for development? Canada is bigger than USA and culturally more diversified. We have only 30 m. people, which includes 1 m. American refugees. Canada could absorb the entire world population and have lots of room left over. No we don't need the USA.
