    It looks like trilateralism is happening is three phases: first is
Europe i.e. the euro and then, Asia: "Defining the future of the Asian
business model.  A panel including Rudiger Dornbusch, professor of
economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Fan Gang,
director of China's National Economic Research Institute, will discuss
topics including: is the region moving toward developing a "new economy"
of its own?" (1)

Does this "new economy" include a regional currency for Asia?

a taste of 21st century leadership from a prominent world politician and
a technology innovator as the conference convenes fora second day in the
snowy Swiss Alps Friday.

Dell and Blair will debate whether fast-moving corporations are
outrunning changes in government policy. The two also will attemptto
deduce whether there are common characteristics for the so-called "new
leaders" governing the world's dynamic businesses andcountries.

The day's other big draw is expected to be an early morning panel
discussion on how economic values are quickly replacing moral values in
today's society.

survival of central banks around the globe.

Defining the future of the Asian business model.  A panel including

The digital state: reinventing government. John Manley, Canada's
minister of industry, John Quelch, dean of the London Business School,
and others will consider what governments need to do in the information

Will bureaucracies be extinct?  What will test the credibility of the
euro? A panel including Nobel-prize-winning economist Robert Mundell and
Christian Noyer, vice president of the European Central Bank, will
consider the future of the single European currency, just a day after it
reached a new low against the dollar.

(AMTD) Chief Executive Officer Joe Ricketts. Cohen, co-chairwoman of
Goldman Sachs' investment committee will appear on "Moneyline" Friday
evening at 6:30 p.m. ET.

In a panel discussion Thursday, Cohen said she expects U.S. equities to
continue their strong growth in 2000, but at a less robust pace.
Ricketts will appear on "In the Money" at 11 a.m. to discuss his
company's growth prospects.

CNN.com will also be holding a live chat session from Davos, with United
Nations Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson, at 10 a.m. ET/2
p.m. GMT."
