I agree 100%. May the Creator bless the peoples of the Oglala nation and protect them in this inter-tribal crisis. I pray with them...and I continue to watch closely. By the way...for you who may not know...AIM stands for the "American Indian Movement." It was founded back in the sixties, and the organization was the one at Wounded Knee when Leonard Peltier was framed for killing Fed agents. I support, for the most part, the ideals in which AIM was founded. There is a lot of disinformation about them ( surprise...surprise...) and they too, have been demonized by the main-stream media and the government. Sound familiar? You what else? We are just now beginning to get what the American Indian has been getting for over 200 years. Welcome to the club....or should I say "Tribe?" Should that happen, the white man and the red man shall rise. Already the war drums begin to sound and the council fires brighten the sky, sending the smoke of freedom's sacrifice to our Heavenly Father. Patriots: Stop to Listen to what is happening in South Dakota, taking pause to wonder if another Wounded Knee massacre is about to commence. Federal attack requires federal response from across the land. Federal soldiers of the FBI are to be warned that their brutality, once again begun, will not be allowed to be concluded on their terms. The business in SD is a tribal matter and the sovereignty of the tribal governments must be recognized. Beyond that, it may be a 10th Amendment state matter for the people of SD to settle. But if the tribal native people of this land are to be free, they must cast off the bonds that tie them to the federal government. They must express in more than words, their desire to be free and to rule their sovereign nations themselves. I am troubled that appointed agents from Washington have been given the fiscal management of this group. Elders must rule and the councils of the people must decide the business of the tribe. It is so sad that years of abuse and mis-management have retarded the growth of tribal sovereignty over the federal regime. What the BIA did in years past is continuing today. The native Americans in SD are beginning to exercise their liberty. We should all applaud their spirit as we thank our Great God, Jesus Christ, for their sacrifice. I pray that the matter will be settled in justice and mercy and that all of the people will find that the sacred bond is spiritual, allowing brother to greet brother in love and unity.
