How did a judge of this caliber reach the highest court in this
country..if this report is true this guy should be kicked off this
case and off the bench for surely, when you have a judge so prejudiced
why bother to put on such a dog and pony show for the press? Surely
the American public is in for a treat now - watch Ginsburg, who too
has made up her mind - for by their fruits you shall know them.

Did you actually listen to the whole 2 hour tape of the proceedings or do
you just get the regurgitated drivel from the talking heads? If you had
listened to the entire tape, then you would not be taking a line or three
out of context and making a big deal out of nothing. I can't remember
how many words I have juxtaposed, miss-spoke, miss-pronounced, or just
plain flubbed when giving presentations to far less important audiences
than the Supreme Court.

From the tone of your missive, am I to assume you are a backer of the
Bush-League?
When this bruhaha started, I was not a backer of either of these Bozo's.
However, watching things develope, and listening to the rhetoric on both
sides, I am currently hoping that Gore wins. Why, you may ask? Well,
for the same reason that I have come to look with growing anger and
disgust at the Republican Party. I seldom indicate a "Named Party"
preferance, usually just stating points I agree or dissagree with. In
this case however, I have, in general, come to the conclusion that the
Repbulican Party, as it is today, is the greatest threat to freedom,
common sense, and the general good. They have adopted the tactic of "Win
by Smear, Intimidation, Insinuation, and/or Demogogory". Setting aside
all the charges and counter charges, it makes sense to "COUNT ALL THE
VOTES". By what twisted logic can one argue otherwise? Both Occam's
Razor and the K.I.S.S. Principal apply here. Forget the spin, rhetoric,
charges and counter charges. Get the raw data, analyze it, and make your
own decision.

No Democrats voted for Gore. There is no Democratic party. There are only
Republicans and Independents. Now you know the rest of the story.

and from another post:

Democrats must think Bush elector Berta Moralejo is a
potential swing vote. Her phone rings incessantly, she said — up
to 25 calls on some days. Letters beseeching her to consider Mr.
Gore started pouring in a little over two weeks ago.
"They always try to tell me that they aren't for either candidate
and then tell me that I should vote for the other party," said Miss
Moralejo, a Tampa resident.
"They don't talk about anything substantial. They say that they
are independent, but they all want me to vote for Al Gore. There's
no way,"
