(AP) -- An 18-year-old who violated his probation by threatening to kill President Bush has been sentenced to what amounts to an additional month in jail. Andrew N. Niese, who had been on probation for a fake school bomb threat, told teachers at his Wisconsin Rapids charter school several times in December that if George W. Bush became president he would be assassinated, a police report said. Niese, of Port Edwards, told a teacher later that month that he would buy a rifle and shoot Bush, the report said. Niese had previously been convicted of possession of a dangerous weapon other than a firearm on school grounds and obstructing an officer, both misdemeanors, for placing a fake bomb at his high school in Port Edwards last April 20. "Twice you've been involved with something drawing attention nationally. I don't want to be the judge who lets you out of jail when something like this escalates," Wood County Circuit Court Judge Edward Zappen Jr. told Niese at Monday's sentencing. Zappen sentenced Niese to seven months in jail.
