It would be very nice to have the same respect for zygotes too, because when you take the life of a zygote, there is no fetus, no baby, no "human". There is only death. That doesn't mean killing these cells make one a murderer. Zygotes and fetuses are not people. They are potential humans if they develop to completion and are able to survive outside the womb. I suggest you should think this for a second time. Babies cannot survive after womb by themselves, unless someone takes care of them. They are also not completed, e.g.just think of their cranium, and the fact they don't have teeth. Even when they have teeth, these are not the final ones. So according to this definition, babies are not humans as well? I personally wouldn't make that argument, but some could. That's not the point really. At this time the baby is no longer sharing the body of another individual. That individual no longer has the same power over the baby's body as when the baby was inside her. That is why it is clear that when a mother kills her baby after birth, it is murder, and is prosecuted as a murderer if caught. Whether as to abortion being "right" or "wrong" is not a topic for this list. Abortions happen. They happen in nature all the time. God is Good. God is Great. Why do you limit your perception of the powers of God? In his fiscal 2001 budget plan, Clinton proposed a $169 million increase in USAID's international family planning aid package and $25 million to support the United Nations Population Fund, which operates in 150 nations. Clinton said 600,000 women die each year from complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. He wants Congress to raise family planning assistance to 1995 levels, and he wants the money to come without a restriction dubbed the "global gag rule." Using U.S. funds to perform abortions abroad has been prohibited since 1973. Last year, Congress imposed a restriction on giving money to non-governmental organizations that use money from other sources to advocate for or provide abortions. "Those congressionally sponsored restrictions impose a destructive double standard," Clinton said. "When would we ever accept rules telling Americans at home not even to discuss women's health and women's choices? "And how, in the name of democracy and freedom, can we impose those rules on others which would be illegal here in the United States?" Clinton was joined at the World Health Day event by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Dr. Enyantu Ifenne, a pediatrician from Nigeria, who said it is commonplace in her country for 12-year-old girls to marry and begin families. She politely said the "gag rule" was "very un-American." Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., was more blunt. "Gag rules are enough to make you gag," she said. Rep. Gentlemen: When the pro-abortionist were pushing for legal abortions they alleged that 5,000 women died each year from unsafe abortions.
