-Caveat Lector- Can you think of a worse insult than to be called the refuse from somebody's elses shore - refuse and his was placed on the Statue of Liberty? Mark Rich tried to break the Steel Workers Union and what does Clinton do, but give him a pardon paid for by a bribe. Bobby Kennedy warned prior to his being killed in particular, involving Teamsters Pension Funds as he was being ostracized by a CONTROLLED news media - he said what will you do when you retire and find your pension monies are not there? You know what I think? Maybe a death penalty should be provided for these men who (and women) are willing to go to prison a few years and come out with millions of dollars of money stolen from others. After all how many lives have the destroyed - nobody pays any attention when some poor guy who worked all his life and was loyal to his company - nobody gives a damn when he dies. Normally a man such as this makes the newspapers 3 times in his life - when he is born, when he is married, and when he dies unless he goes to jail for Drunk Driving and then it is a oh so terrible crime - I have seen this for years.What was it it used to be - 30 days or 30 dollars? Poor guy often got both; but worse yet, I remember the day kids were ordered to join the service during war time or go to jail.Most joined up - how many died because someone no likely a cop had labeled them criminals? Pension funds..well we have seen high taxes drive big business overseas with a whip - but this works two ways. We still do not have to buy that crap made in China, and I can do without another TV or VCR. So Edward, Tenorlove mentioned something about contrails yesterday and being ill. Socialists are unrepentant classists. They want *everyone else* equal--with them at the top as the compassionate benefactors. Can anyone spell out what was the government's role in destroying the steel industry in this country and transporting it to other countries? That's the way it works; bury free enterprise under an insurmountable pile of government regulation, and then when the market attempts to adapt to regulatory forces, say, by means of mass lay-offs or bankruptcies, blame everything on free enterprise. Socialists, being mentally twisted control freaks, are aware that the average citizen has the critical thinking abilities and attention span of a gnat. -Caveat Lector- BFMs. OSaba, you are correct! I cannot believe I am agreeing with you. We divide amongst ourselve but we are all pawns of the more powerful. The death penalty is not appropriate, but then again it is a Noachide Commandment not to steal. I am not saying that we should guillotine these S*B's, however, because in my opinion stealing should be met with radical compensation. Prison is not appropriate for stealing. The rich don't suffer it anyway, and it mainly falls on the poor guy who steals a pizza and gets 25 under the three strikes. However, the feeling you express I share completely. Is this grounds for peace talks? I need seven days of no more bombings...-: Frankly, I am no socialist, but a moderately conservative person on foreign policy, very conservative on social issues, moderately socialist on economic issues, and very radical in my non-conformity. I am a strange kind of centrist. However, I strongly believe that no boss should have power over people. I am a kind of anarcho-socialist in this respect. A job that meets human needs is a human right. I am not an anarcho-socialist really. However, I believe that hiring and firing should be decided more democratically, with checks and balances. On Have You Been Served I saw this in action, a trial for an employee who was accused of stealing. He was dismissed, onyl to be re-instated when it was shown to be bogus. I assumed that this was a socialist innovation, one that got Maggified, or Thatcherized however the case may be, during the eighties. I also believe in universal health coverage. If we have free trade, it should be with democracies and not dictatorships, with well-paid labor and not Third World oligarchies. Please feel free to report me to Ashcroft.
