Re: [datameet] Re: Survey of India published - District, Block and Village Boundaries

2022-09-27 Thread Devdatta Tengshe
I had played around with this data a couple of days ago.

One Important thing to note is that count does not match either the one
from LGD or the census.

For example, SOI has 4723 Sub Districts, while LGD has 7021.
Similarly, SOI has 742 Districts, while LGD has 763.

Regards,
Devdatta

 1. Village boundaries do match latest village shapes from revenue

Re: [datameet] Boundary data in regional languages

2022-09-27 Thread Shivangi Desai
Hey Devdatta,

So it has a link for downloading the data:-
https://lgdirectory.gov.in/downloadDirectory.do?OWASP_CSRFTOKEN=7Y01-IRAV-SWQ0-5XKK-OS5G-8UOO-UB3O-R7I5

Here you can choose what data you want and download it (either state wise
or all states with particular information).

Regards,
Shivangi

 Hey All,

Have any of you had the need to show the boundary data (state,
district, block, village etc) in regional language?
If so how did you go about it?
Did you need to translate it and store it in database or is there an
android hack or some other way to show translated data on a phone
 application?

 Thanks & Regards,
 Shivangi
