Re: [datameet] How to get data from e department sites

Thank you for pointing these things out. I will be careful in setting the
interval of calls. It should not do anything much. But I thought it is good
to be aware of such things. Thanks again!!!

I want to use data from this site. I can write JavaScript to get lat long
points for all districts mandal and villages. But I don't know if this is
allowed. Or how should I get about it.

Re: [datameet] Looking to contribute in open project

2017-03-28 Thread Vartika Sinha
Thank you for pointing me to the project. This is exactly what we are
trying to achieve. Well, we have not reached to the stage where we will use
neural nets.
For our project we have been provided with geo-tagged images of crop fields
as our ground data. We are using lansat-8 and sentinel images to build a
model which would then predict the area under cultivation. We are trying to
achieve this for 1 crop only for a small portion of land (district or
taluk).

[datameet] Looking to contribute in open project

2017-03-24 Thread Vartika Sinha
Hello there!

I am a web application developer learning analytics part time. As a part of
my project I got interested in open data, GIS and image classification of
satellite data.
Currently I am spending my time on an agriculture project where I need
identify the area under cultivation.

I am still connecting the dots. GIS and satellite data are all very
interesting.

But there is a long way to go. I am looking to contribute in an open
project like this

 and
learn from it. Are there any projects like this?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
fledgling
