Re: [datameet] India Division level maps

2018-11-05 Thread Bhanu Kamapantula
The Excel variants for the division maps are now available at:
https://gramener.com/map/#?q=division

Other Excel maps include: Indian states, districts-wise states, tehsil-wise
states, divisions-wise states, assembly/parliamentary constituencies.

A YouTube walkthrough
 (by Anand)
of how to use them. Features: create custom color ranges, domain values,
labels

Thanks,

[datameet] India Division level maps

2018-11-01 Thread S Anand
During the last meetup event of GeoHYD
 at Gramener, we created
Division level maps for 16 Indian states based on the 2011 census maps.

Districts are grouped as Divisions in most states. We’ve ignored those
states that don’t have or don't report divisions.

Division level maps are useful for government officials to track
performance indicators across sectors as part of their administrative
duties.

We’re releasing these maps for public use.
https://github.com/datameet/maps/tree/master/divisions

The curious can refer the tutorial

used to create these maps.

For queries, please contact Bhanu K (talk2k...@gmail.com) or me.

Thanks & Regards,
Anand
