RE: Deadlists Link to Internet Archive for Downloading

2005-04-11 Thread kevin

it displays all the entries for a particular
date

at some point we'll get clever and link SBD to SBD, etc...
;-)

If there are multiple sources of a show on the
Internet Archive, how does the download button determine which source to link
  to? cm

Working with the Internet Archive folks, Deadlists has an
interim solutionto link to a specific show's audio files stored on
IA.It's an interim solution in that there is no qualification
whether or not IAactually has audio files for a particular date -
there's a download buttonfor every single date entry in
deadlists. We are working on getting to the point where deadlists
will only show a linkfor available downloads, but requires some
developer time on IA's part andthey are taxed with site upgrade
activities at the moment. The goal issometime in late May/early
June (unless there's someone here who knows howto write an OAI script to
do an ID extract of IA's database). In any case, it's nice to have
this new
linkage..Cheers,Kevin
