Bug#386070: vgcfgbackup: invalid option -- f

2006-09-18 Thread Jesse Molina

This problem is at my end. For a reason that I've not yet determined, I
have some old stale manfiles hanging around from the previously purged
lvm10 package.

This bug may be closed.

Patrick Caulfield wrote:

Jesse Molina wrote:

Hi

When passing options -f or --file to vgcfgbackup, I get an error;

vgcfgbackup: invalid option -- f

The man page says that this is a valid option. Not sure if the man page is out
of date, or there is something wrong with this tool.

I can't see in the man page where there is a -f option to vgcfgbackup.

vgcfgrestore has one, or it's possible you also have the lvm2 tools installed.
In the latter case check which man page you are reading.

Bug#387343: [l10n] Updated Czech translation of menu

2006-09-18 Thread Christian Perrier

For some reason, the string did not get marked as fuzzy...which makes
the change in original string invisible to translators.

Beware, fr.po is different because you commited a rogue update.

Hmmm, strange. I may have messed it up earlier but certainly not in
the update you mention:

   PatchSet 433
   Date: 2006/09/09 10:41:22
   Author: bubulle
   Branch: HEAD
   Tag: (none)
   Log:
Update PO files from the menu.pot sent by Bill to debian-i18n
Add menu.pot to the CVS with Bill's agreement.

The Update PO files was made with gettext utilities (msgmerge -U
file.po menu.pot). I wouldn't call this a rogue update..:-)

That means that the usage line in fr.po was already the same than now
and was not marked fuzzy...even though it did not have the --version
part.

No time now for getting the full log on that file (and anyway, that
would require online access which I don't have now).there ahs been
an error at some moment, that's sure..:)

   Members: po/*.po

I'd suggest marking this string as fuzzy for all files which have not
been recently updated. Most of them probably do not have that
  translation for --version.

Actually, they have the translation for --version in the second-last
template. I think it is marked correctly fuzzy.

Yes, indeed. The only translation where that string was not marked
fuzzy while the --version is missing seems to be the French
one. This maybe comes from a too quick update in the past.

As far as I see other translations in the CVS correctly have this
string as fuzzy which means that translators should be careful
updating it.

I warned the French translator about this string. Thus, we shouldn't
have further mistakes.

  New Kurdish translations are attached.

Hmmm, I'm OK to commit these but don't you have commit access to the SVN?

The translator answered me privately that he doesnt and *doesn't want
to* (we cannot learn about each VCS used by every free software
project).

I'm currently insisting as I don't want to enter a special case loop
where, for some languages, the coordinator is allowed to not use the
SVN and, thus, add load on us.

Kurdish began before we established the formal new language process
which means we never went throught the step where it becomes highly
clear that our work method is the SVN. That's too bad and I don't want
this mistake to repeathowever, I still think that having a small
checkout of packages/po is definitely not a big hassle for translators
and we shouldn't make exceptions to tour policy.

For that reason, I ask other team members to not commit this
translation yet. The discussion will probably continue in private
with Erdal.

Bug#235498: defrag: ext3 support would be nice :-)

2006-09-18 Thread Jiggly Puff
Yes, it would. ext3 is journaled, and usually does not need to be
defragmented, but it would be nice if there was a program that did that.

According to wikipedia, this program can defrag ext3 if ext3 is
temporarily downgraded to ext2, and then re-upgraded. I don't know what
the consequences of this might be.

Bug#387936: diff for 0.99.10-1.1 NMU of gnomeicu

 want to
keep libtasn1-2 in the archive or don't want gnomeicu in etch?

That bin-NMU bug was a normal bug until yesterday, the libtasn1-2 was
set as important. Which means there was no hurry to fix them. Somebody
changed the settings yesterday and you NMUed the same day, do you
consider that as a normal way of NMUing? Not waiting a day and not
 contacting the maintainer first?
I object to the NMU because a NMU was not required and you didn't try to
contact the maintainer first which is not a nice way to act

The maintainer had already 12 days to say something in the bug report, I don't
think you can count that as 1 day in no matter what mathematics!!!

It would indeed be more polite to have asked beforehand, though I didn't spot
that it was only RC for 1 day. Sorry about that.

Cheers

Luk

forcemerge 383307 388005
thanks

Have recently upgraded my whole system to Etch. I am now recieving Segfault
email messages when I try to start samba (using /etc/init.d/samba restart).

All explanations for this problem are in bug number 383307 and the
dozens of bug reports merged with that one.

   passdb backend = tdbsam,

Please remove that comma and restart samba.

Working on this issue that often happens during upgrades is currently
being done by some of the package maintenance team members.

Bug#387991: [Pkg-ltsp-devel] Bug#387991: nbdswapd: Should accept swap directory configuration

2006-09-18 Thread Petter Reinholdtsen
[Vagrant Cascadian]
 in /etc/ltsp/nbdswapd.conf:

 SWAP=$(mktemp -p /var/opt/ltsp/swapfiles/)

 :P

Right.

if i add thse instructions to the swap documentation, would this be
 enough?

It would help, at least. But isn't the choice of configuration
variable making it too easy to mess up the system? If one do
SWAP=/tmp/swap, it will break completely, right? Why do you want to
be able to specify a single PATH, instead of specifying where the swap
files will be stored, and leave it to the script to come up with an
unique name?

I suspect the interface design for the configuration options should be
reconsidered because of tihs. To me, the SWAP option do not make
sense.

Bug#242238: Request

2006-09-18 Thread Kapil Hari Paranjape
Hello,

Thanks for your suggestion of filters to incorporate the indexing of
OpenDoc files.

Do think it would best if the files were placed in the examples
section or in a separated contrib section in the documentation
directory?

Secondly, if the files are to placed verbatim then they must have a
copyright assertion (even short files :)). Could you please put one
on top? You could perhaps then place them under a suitable license or
in the public domain.

Alternatively, we could re-write these files and attribute the idea
of their incorporation to you. Please let me know which you prefer.

Thanks for your contribution,

Regards,

Kapil.

its list of bugs.

I couldn't see exactly which part of the package description suggests
that swish++ is superior to swish-e. Enclosed is the current
description.

I would be happy to take your suggestions into account while
uploading a newer version to the archive.

Thanks and regards,

Read this line carefully. matlab wants libstdc++.so.5, the new binary
wants libstdc++.so.6. You have to explicitely use g++-3.3.

 2006b release of matlab:
 - gcc -O -pthread -o test test_main.o test_mcc_component_data.o

You try to link c++ executables with gcc. This is not supposed to work.
Use g++ instead.

Nothing here is a bug.

Icons such as /usr/share/app-install/icons/ realplayer-icon.xpm and

course, it would be easier to tell if there was a copyright notice for
each icon...which won't be easy.

I suppose the package should be removed from testing for now.

Bug#147500: [pkg-firebird-general] Bug#147500: firebird2 on sparc

2006-09-18 Thread Damyan Ivanov
Clint Adams -- 16.09.2006 03:00 --:
Does firebird2 packages build on sparc after this change? If yes, I'll
be glad to initiate an upload that adds sparc to the list of supported
 architectures.

Unfortunately not; it chokes. I've mistakenly deleted the build log,
but I recall that it was trying to run a program with 'gen' in the name,
 and then this happened.

 make[4]: *** [empty.fdb] Segmentation fault

I see. Unfortunately, upstream's way for handling these is to require
a backtrace (or core dump), preferably from a debug-mode build.

This is not an easy task, even for people experienced with firebird. I
could try it, but have no access to a sparc machine (still in NM)

Looking at developer list archives, there were people trying to build
firebird in linux/sparc (years ago), but no success stories. The
source, however, seems to be prepared. There must be some
incompleteness in detecting linux/sparc combination or some such.

Anyway, thank you for your time.

Yes, zope-common is source for common templates for all zope packages.

2006-09-18 Thread Lupe Christoph

Version: 1.38.11-5
Severity: important

I did a major update of my Testing-with-a-little-Unstable installation

bacula or mysql package.

But since then, my nightly backups fail with error messages like this:

This problem goes away when I restart bacula-dir, and reoccurs when I
restart mysql.

It is possible that bacula-dir was restarted during the update on
2006-09-16 and picked up /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.15 which was changed
on the last update before.

I google this and found that it seems better to try to open a pty

Bug#388029: apt-mirror should check component listing md5sums

2006-09-18 Thread David Purdy
Subject: apt-mirror should check component listing md5sums
Package: apt-mirror
Version: 0.4.4-2
Severity: normal

If the source mirror has errors, these are reproduced in the local
mirror.

If apt-mirror wants to guarantee no local inconsistencies it needs to
check files coming from the server.

Otherwise apt-mirror is only guaranteeing that no additional errors will
be introduced.

One such error is if a component's packages listing file (eg:
dists/testing/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz) md5sum, length, or
SHA1 does not match the listed md5sum (inside dists/testing/Release).

Please check for this and other possible server inconsistencies (eg: deb
files not found).

Perhaps a strict command-line option should be added which fails if
any of the checks fail.

Bug#388035: boottime.kmap for Croatian has broken altgr+. and altgr+,

2006-09-18 Thread Josip Rodin
Package: install
Version: etch beta 3

Hi,

I've no idea where to file this, so please reassign wherever necessary.

The console keymap installed when one installs from a etch beta netinst
CD has two broken keybindings, fixed by the attached patch.

Oddly enough, when I ran kbd-config after install and explicitly selected
qwertz/Croat, it fixed this problem. No idea how, since the console-data
file also has it broken (I just filed a separate bug report about that, too.)

TIA.

I can't believe this, is it really necessary to add absolutely all the
vendor and product ids in order to have proper permissions?
UDEV can't look at the interface class and subclass (6 represents Imaging and
1 in the subclass represents Still Image Capture) in order to set permissions
 to camera?

It should already do this, if it doesn't work it may be a udev bug or
misunderstanding of my part, but that line was checked with udev
maintainer.

SYSFS{bInterfaceClass}==06, SYSFS{bInterfaceSubClass}==01,
  SYSFS{bInterfaceProtocol}==01, MODE=0660, GROUP=camera

It is impossible to keep this list up-to-date all the time...
Anyway, I added a single line to the udev rules for the Kodak CD33 and that
 fixes the issue:

Note this file is autogenerated, the proper file to patch was
camlibs/ptp2/library.c. I am uploading a fixed package.

Bug#388037: Separate client binary or add START_DAEMON option to /etc/default/stun

2006-09-18 Thread Christian Hammers
Package: stun
Version: 0.96.dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Hello

We're only using the stun client binary on one system to use it for
monitoring purposes. When installing it we ran into two problems:

a) The package seems uninstallable without modifications:
Setting up stun (0.96.dfsg-1) ...
No primary IP given. Exiting.
invoke-rc.d: initscript stun, action start failed.
dpkg: error processing stun (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
I would consider this a bug, every package should be installable
without error messages. Could be solved by the solution proposed for
   b), too.

b) As we only need the client-binary and splitting client and server
would probably be overkill something like the following would be
   good in /etc/defaults/stun
# Change this from /bin/true to /usr/sbin/stun enables the Server
DAEMON=/bin/true

This is invalid code and is actually mentioned on the changes page:
 http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-4.2/changes.html
The (undocumented) extension which permitted templates with default
arguments to be bound to template template parameters with fewer
parameters has been removed. For example:
   template template typename class C
   void f(Cdouble) {}

   template typename T, typename U = int
   struct S {};

   template void f(Sdouble);

is no longer accepted by G++. The reason this code is not accepted is
that S is a template with two parameters; therefore, it cannot be bound
to C which has only one parameter.

Bug#379791: ode 0.7

2006-09-18 Thread Goneri Le Bouder

It seems your missing CFLAGS += -fPIC in your debian/rules.
I already tried but it doesn't fix the issue. CFLAGS seem to be
reinitialised somewhere. I don't know how i can trace this.

Also see 10.2 of debian policy:
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-files.html#s-libraries
I did. In fact i don't have a lot of experience with librairy packaging
and i may have miss something.

PS: Btw, i see alot of unwanted stuff in your ode_0.7-1.diff.gz.
Yep, you right, i uploaded a cleaner ode_0.7-1.diff.gz. I reactivated the

Bug#384346: fonts seem seriously broken

2006-09-18 Thread martin f krafft
also sprach Roland Rosenfeld [EMAIL PROTECTED] [2006.09.09.1355 +0200]:
Hmmm, that's really strange. Did you do a xset fp rehash (or
a restart of your X server) after installing gsfonts-x11?

Yes.

 Anyway, does
  xlsfonts -fn '-*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--36-*-*-*-*-*-ISO8859-*'
 display fonts on your system?

When I run this command with a size wildcard like this:
  xlsfonts -fn '-*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-ISO8859-*'
I only see some discrete sizes from the pixel fonts (8, 10, 11, 12,
 14, 17, 18, 20, 24, 25, 38) but also some scalable fonts with size
 0:

 -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1
 -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-100-100-p-0-iso8859-1
 -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-75-75-p-0-iso8859-1

I get pretty much the same output.

As far as I can see this is the gsfonts-x11 font as well as the 100dpi
and the 75dpi pixel font (both via the scalable font path line).

But if I run xlsfonts with -fn and a concrete size, which isn't listed
above, xlsfonts offers me this font too:

 $ xlsfonts -fn '-*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--113-*-*-*-*-*-ISO8859-1' | uniq
 -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--113-818-100-100-p-0-iso8859-1

Maybe you can try to find out, whether/why this behaves different on
 your system.

It behaves exactly like you said. I can use fonts just fine
everywhere. It's only xfig causing problems.

Bug#388038: acpid: logrotate-script causes error-mails when acpid is not running

2006-09-18 Thread Mario 'BitKoenig' Holbe
Package: acpid
Version: 1.0.4-5

Hello,

when acpid is not running, the logrotate-script causes error-mails to be
sent:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: error running postrotate script for /var/log/acpid
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

This is because `pkill -SIGUSR1 acpid' returns 1 if it cannot find a
matching process.
Of course, one could argue that it's okay to get some warning when acpid
is not running. However, in this particular case it doesn't harm at all
if acpid is not running: the logfile gets rotated, if there is no acpid,
there is no need for it to reopen any logs.

Using `pkill -SIGUSR1 sleep /dev/null || true' could fix this easily.

Thanks for your work regards

Bug#384680: bluez-utils: cannot enable authentication by a PIN

2006-09-18 Thread Géraud Meyer
Oyez, oyez!
I have finally understood what was happening: the link_key_request
serves as an authentication mechanism thanks to the link key storage in
/var/lib/bluetooth/bdaddr (I noticed this folder's persistence by
chance). Removing the folders under /var/lib/bluetooth/ is sufficient to
make a new connection fail (if the PINs are set suitably).
The working of the authentication certainly is not a mistake, but it is
misleading. Since the documentation is not yet making the bluez packages
bloated, do you think you could add this information piece in it so that
another unskilled non-specialist user does not loose his time?

Bug#385272: closed by Julien BLACHE [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Re: Bug#385272: mcelog: Please include timestamps in the logfile)

2006-09-18 Thread Michael Renner

Hi Julien,

I discussed the timestamp idea with Andi Kleen, and, basically, it's
of no use because the precision of the timestamp would suck.

The kernel collects MCE data every 5 minutes by default, then mcelog
runs every 5 minutes, collecting the data collected by the kernel.

[..]

Andi strongly advised against adding any timestamp whatsoever because
it really can't be precise enough to be even remotely useful.

Uhm, if I've got a logfile full of MCE entries after (e.g.) returning
from a weeks vacation a timestamp with a granularity of 5 minutes is
better than none, right? I can understand that Andi doesn't want to
implement this for the given reasons but the cron hackaround is useful,
will help people and should be robust enough (the only problem I could
see would be exceeding the storage size of the variables of the shell
when storing the log messages, but this is highly unlikely). Adding a
hint that the timestamps are only estimates (either in the log or the
README) or letting the user choose if he wants inaccurate timestamps
should mitigate any user complaints (if there should be any. I pretty
much doubt it).

So, closing this bug as a feature request which unfortunately can't be
implemented.

I'd opt for reconsidering that, cutting usability because the gathered
information isn't 100% accurate isn't good practice.

best regards,
Michael

A patch for boottime.kmap makes no sense. boottime.kmap is just a copy of
whatever keymap was selected during installation. So, that you see the
same error in qwertz/Croat makes perfect sense. Indeed d-i uses udebs

Ah, so one copy came from a .deb, and the other from the .udeb. Gotcha.

As you already filed a bug (I assume with the same patch) against
console-data and as the problem after installation should automatically
get solved when that is fixed, I am closing this bug report.

It's not actually the very same patch because the formatting of the file is
different, but the content is the same. Thanks.

The PTS does not have a security sensitive context, i.e. there's no

Hi,

That'd be 10 minutes, not 5, and it can be even more than that under
 some circumstances.

If I run the collector every 5 minutes fetching all messages that have
been generated since the last invocation the granularity should be 5
minutes, or am I missing something there? Anyway, that's still
negligible for that sort of errors IMHO.

The kernel fetches the MCE data from the hardware every 5 minutes, and
then mcelog runs every 5 minutes, so in the worst-case scenario,
that's a 10 minutes granularity

Yeah, I just try to reduce customizing work that needs to be done for
packages I use on our servers, if the changes should prove to be
useful for the whole community and not only our setups.

I know what it's like :)

2006-09-18 Thread Andreas Pakulat
Package: latex-ucs

Hi,

latex-ucs should depend on either tetex or texlive. Currently this
missing option (the texlive dependecy) makes muttprint uninstallable in
sid when texlive is used.

Bug#387143: phpwiki errors on loading; Driver initialization failed for handler: db4...

2006-09-18 Thread Matt Brown
Isaac Bennetch wrote:

I'm still surprised that you feel my files are in a non-standard
place, since aptitude should have handled everything automatically, I
certainly don't remember moving it and would have no reason to have
 done so. `dpkg -L phpwiki` lists /var/lib/phpwiki for what that's
worth. Any more than that, though, and I'm at a loss.

I may be incorrect about the filename. The history of this is that the
PHPwiki package has not actually dealt with db4 files for a long time
(1.3.7-1 in 2004 was the last release that actually created db4 files).

Newer releases shouldn't break your db4 setup, but a brand new fresh
install will be setup to use sqlite by default instead of db4.

I took over the package just after 1.3.7-4, so I've never dealt with db4
stuff directly, hence my confusion. After taking a deeper look at the
old packages it seems that your file probably is in a standard location.
I just wasn't expecting the final 4 in the filename...

Additionally, I've backed up my phpwiki files, purged the package (and
it's dependancies), and reinstalled. It worked.

I assume this was with a SQLite database at
/var/lib/phpwiki/phpwiki_pagedb.db ?

I copied my
phpwiki_pagedb.db4 to replace the default, and there was no change (it
didn't break, but my wiki didn't appear, either).

This is probably because the config file was still looking for a SQLite
database and you copied a DB4 database on top of it.

Finally I copied my
config.ini file to replace the default in /etc/phpwiki/, and it broke
again -- so it does seem to be my config.ini file, though I hadn't
edited it since it was working, so I still don't know what the problem
was. Not that it matters much, though, if I'm able to recover my
database I'll be happy (and if not, hey, that's what backups are
 for)...

At this stage I'd suggest asking the upstream mailing list for help. It
doesn't seem to be anything that is identifiably wrong with the package
from the information that you've provided so far.

If you can successfully get the data out of the db4 database, I would
suggest migrating to a SQLite backend.

Hope that helps.

worked as expected (modulo some key misassignements, which is the
entire reason for testing, hence expected), but the current version
0.8-12exp2 kills my X server (see below for the output printed). To
ease testing, the following procedure is used:
 a) The deb is extraced to a temporary directory with dpkg -x
 b) I run startx (as ordinary user), ssh to root and switch to the
appropriate temporary directory ($tmp/usr/share/X11/xkb)

You do not need to be root, normal users can change their keyboard
settings.

 c) For some reason, root does not have a permission to write to the
display (previously worked), hence I issue xhost + from my
ordinary account and export DISPLAY=:0.0 from the root account
 d) To actually set the keyboard, I run as root
setxkbmap -print | xkbcomp - :0.0

In previous versions the keyboard would be reconfigured and I could
test the new layout. Now, every time I run d) X crashes. Pressing
Ctrl-Z I get a console, pressing Ctrl-Left the machine does not
respond to any keyboard input anymore (I have to ssh in from remote
and reboot). When X crashes, it prints out the following lines:

Please send the output of
  setxkbmap -print

How is this supposed to work, again?

In any event, I'm removing this unpredictable usage of -X from my rules
file and instead just doing the chmod/chgrp after dh_fixperms (via the
binary-predeb/% rule in cdbs).

Bug#384356: Depending on mzscheme is a bad idea

2006-09-18 Thread Jérémy Bobbio
unblock 384356 by 386485
thanks

After discussing with Ari Pollak (maintainer of mzscheme) on IRC, he
states that hs-plugins should not depend on mzscheme to build its
documentation. mzscheme is not built on all Debian architecture, and
depending on such package only to build documentation seems a bit too
much.

Don Stewart, author of hs-plugins, is switching to full Haddock
documentation for the next release. So this won't be problem anymore
for the next upstream release.

In the meantime, possible solutions that I see to solve this issue:

  a) Don't build the documentation at all, and point the user to
 hs-plugins website.

  b) Build to documentation on the maintainer system and include it
 in the Debian patch.

  c) Use another LaTeX to HTML converter to build the documentation
 with the package.

Since upstream is switching to full Haddock documentation for the next
release, I would advocate for b) as a temporary solution.

I will work on a patch implementing this solution if there is no
opositions.

good idea.
i'll work on some patches later...

Version: 0.4.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

since there is no rar-nonfree package for amd64, I need to use unrar.
However, xarchiver refuses to open rar archives even in read-only mode,
telling that the archive format is not supported.

Eduard.

Nobody reads the damn README, so that's completely useless, and I can
already see the bug reports coming in claiming that the timestamp
isn't accurate.

Could be, you probably have more experience wrt user complaints ;).

I'd opt for reconsidering that, cutting usability because the gathered
information isn't 100% accurate isn't good practice.

I'll include a suggestion to install the devscripts package and edit
the cron file to use annotate-output in the next upload, for people
who actually do read the README.

Thanks.

You probably know that already, but just in case: you can edit the
cron file, it's tagged as a conffile.

Yeah, I just try to reduce customizing work that needs to be done for
packages I use on our servers, if the changes should prove to be useful
for the whole community and not only our setups.

Thanks,
Michael

Bug#388051: apt-src: Builds wrong version if source already exists

I installed the source for Firefox 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.6-5 0 from:

Then I ran $(apt-src -i install firefox/unstable). Then I aborted the build
process, and ran $(apt-src clean). Then I ran $(apt-src -i install
firefox/unstable) again.
apt-src proceeded to do this (I aborted the unnecessary clean process, but
after that it still began to download the source for the package in

Why does apt-src think it needs to get the version from experimental? The only

after all the
sources are gone it works, but that means it has to redownload all of the
sources.

2006-09-18 Thread Arthur Marsh

If you have filed this report in error and wish to close it, please
send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with an explanation
why the bug report should be closed.

OK, when I moved ~/.mozilla/firefox and restarted firefox, the problem
went away. I've copied my old bookmarks and history files and
reinstalled extensions, but is there anything else that should be copied
over from the old configuration?

Is there any point in trying to identify what caused the problem? If
not, the bug should be closed.

Regards,

Arthur.

I wonder; is this package still being actively maintained? I notice this
bug hasn't been looked at yet, nor the package updated since October.

Is it still alive? If not, maybe I could look after the debianising
parts of it?

Alternatively you may set the GTKJAVA_CFLAGS and GTKJAVA_LIBS environment

I think this bug belongs to libgtk-java, which was NMUed to drop a circular
dependency between libgtk-java and libgtk-jni -- unfortunately I think it
dropped the wrong link of the circular dependency, since it's libgtk-java
that loads libgtk-jni rather than the other way around, and causing this
build failure in the process.

Bug#388057: pilot-link needs to Build-Depend on libusb-dev.

2006-09-18 Thread Zephaniah E. Hull
Package: libpisock9
Version: 0.12.1-3

Even with --enable-libusb, the configure code checks to see if the
libusb headers actually exist on the system, and just disable it if they
are not. In retrospect, this was probably a bad idea.

So no FTBFS, but we still don't get libusb functionality anywhere that
the buildd compiled the package.
