Bug#419209: Not a /var deadlock
found 419209 2.02.33-2 severity 419209 critical thanks I also hit this bug very recently. I was able to do snapshots until mid-february. Since then, when I start the creation of a snapshot (of my /home, in this case), the lvcreate process never returns, and it seems impossible to start any other process. Creating a new window in screen yields an empty window where nothing happens, opening a signed mail in mutt blocks at Invoking GPG..., and so on. The running applications, if they don't need spawning new processes, otherwise seem to work (to which extent I don't know, as the whole system is unusable enough that I reboot). The snapshot was created by the following command: $ sudo lvcreate -L 1g -n home.bak -s /dev/vg1/home After reboot, it is visible but not a snapshot: --- Logical volume --- LV Name/dev/vg1/home VG Namevg1 LV UUID7IHBuj-FUTT-QpfJ-dki9-p3ev-GCaw-61m8Sh LV Write Accessread/write LV Status available # open 1 LV Size30,09 GB Current LE 7702 Segments 6 Allocation inherit Read ahead sectors auto - currently set to 256 Block device 254:5 --- Logical volume --- LV Name/dev/vg1/home.bak VG Namevg1 LV UUID2wnEYZ-HpVv-QhmQ-aUrk-KVIR-tUDV-GAwS5L LV Write Accessread/write LV Status available # open 0 LV Size1,00 GB Current LE 256 Segments 1 Allocation inherit Read ahead sectors auto - currently set to 256 Block device 254:9 Suddenly, Pierre -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] OpenPGP 0xD9D50D8A signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Bug#473354: ITP: winhardware -- hardware summary report from a Win32 host
Hello, Regarding the package description, since it's a shell script, I guess it's working on Windows 64bits too. You could replace the term Win32 with Windows in that case. Bug#455670: patch
Thanks so much! I'll look at it this evening. Ondrej On 3/30/08, Maximiliano Curia [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hola Ondrej Certik! El 26/03/2008 a las 16:03 escribiste: If you commit it into our svn, sure I'll upload it. Otherwise I need to find time for this first - maybe Adam will do it before me. :) I've packaged the new upstream release of libmesh, tried to fix most of the bugs, and made it available [1]. There are a few issues that need review, which I don't fully understand: there were some dpkg-shlibdeps warnings that led me to disable metis, netcdf and exodus support, the warnings were of the style: dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: symbol ex_put_elem_block used by debian/libmesh0.6.2/usr/lib/libmesh.so.0.6.2 found in none of the libraries I'm not sure why libmesh.so is not being linked against libexodus.so, libnetcdf.so or libmetis. Also, if you have some way of checking ABI compatibility, it would be great. As I was not able to check it and I afraid there might be some ABI breakage. In any case, I don't have access to the svn, so if you accept it please commit it. Bug#466261: nsca: Please add LSB formatted dependency info in init.d script
I had a closer look at the package, and this code will not work as expected with dependency based boot sequencing. The defaults-call to update-rc.d will use the LSB header and insert the script at its expected location, but the call using stop 16 2 3 4 5 . will not. Bug#473381: cdbs: patchsys-quilt.mk should follow quilt convention
Package: cdbs Version: 0.4.51 Severity: normal Since quilt uses the patches directory by default, patchsys-quilt.mk creates a symlink patches - debian/patches/. This is the wrong way to do it IMO. You should have a behaviour similar to the what quilt recommends: see the /usr/share/quilt/quilt.make file. It calls quilt that way: QUILT_PATCHES=$(QUILT_PATCH_DIR) quilt --quiltrc /dev/null push -a || test $$? = 2 It's better since: - the user configuration doesn't mess up with the behaviour of the build (which in itself warrants an important bug IMO) - it doesn't create a useless symlink (see how this symlink can create problems in some unexpected way when trying to convert a package to using a new source package format: http://lists.debian.org/debian-dpkg/2008/03/msg00195.html) Thanks for your work. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=POSIX (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages cdbs depends on: ii debhelper 6.0.10 helper programs for debian/rules Versions of packages cdbs recommends: ii autotools-dev 20080123.1 Update infrastructure for config.{ -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
