I stand correctred, it was not a NMU, but the changelog entry for 3.0.3.1-1 was
not in d/changelog.

Due to significant changes from version 3.0 to 4.0 and the repository
migration, some changes on debian/ were not consistent with the old version and
were not well documented. We will correct these issues.

I fixed the bug and uploaded it just now.

Bug#1034282: RFS: ukui-app-widget/1.0.1-1 [ITP] -- ukui app widget test

2023-07-21 Thread handsome_feng
Hi, Boyuan,

Sorry for this rookie, stupid mistake, Bowen only checked the results of
'lintian' and 'licensecheck -r' when reviewing the package, not the other
parts, including the incorrect copyright statement.
And I also confirmed the problem with the upstream author, when she took over
the code, the headers of some files in QtSingleApplication have been
accidentally blanked out, and she added the company's copyrights without
checking in order to deal with the "No copyright Unknow" warnings.
The problem has been fixed upstream, and we'll improve the guidebook and
training to avoid this kind of problem from occurring again.

> Your package embeds multiple copies of QtSimpleApplication. This is not a good
> practice at all. Can you work with upstream to only include one copy?

This is fixed upstream.

Yes, It's no need to revert version 4.x to 1.0.1, we will upload the fixed
version to mentors later.

I talked to Sogou today and they said they will try to finish the migration
before Ubuntu 22.04 Freeze, but as far as we know it is a bit difficult.

To avoid confusing upstream, I think you guys can just move forward
at your own pace, we can use google pinyin or other input methods
before Sogou finish the migration.

only says ukui-system-monitor/ppc64el has unsatisfiable dependency, without
specific error messages, and I asked it on #debian-mentors to get that the
actual problem is on
https://qa.debian.org/debcheck.php?dist=unstable&package=ukui-system-monitor.

So, I think it is better for tracker to include the relevant links to debcheck?

Thanks,

Hi,
Is there any progress on this? I found that it failed when running
`$$[QT_INSTALL_BINS]/qmlplugindump -notrelocatable GSettings 1.0 ..` , but I
can only reproduce it when pdebuild. And with the same generated file, If I
chroot the pbuilder environment and mount the build dir, cd the GSettings dir
and run `qmlplugindump -notrelocatable GSettings 1.0 ..`, it will failed with
"QQmlComponent: Component is not ready", but if I run the same command in the
same build dir in my local environment, everything is fine. Could it be a lack
of dependency?

ukui-media fails to cross build from source, because debian/rules hard
codes the build architecture qmake. The easiest way of fixing that -
using dh_auto_configure - makes ukui-media cross buildable. Please
consider applying the attached patch.

Uploaded, thanks.

One more thing: please consider renaming the "sidebar.desktop" file -- this
name is too generic. A better choice would be "ukui-sidebar.desktop".

And now also:
 - Add gsettings-desktop-schemas, mate-desktop-schemas,
   mate-desktop-common, ukui-session-manager, ukui-screensaver,
   xcreensaver-data, ukui-power-manager, ukui-media,

Alas, this version is no longer installable.

You've added ukui-power-manager to Depends, and that has a hard dependency
on systemd. That restricts users to running just a single init system, one
which is too buggy to eg. boot my main desktop at all.

Thus, the package doesn't work for me.

Alas, because of some transition, the package is not installable at the

Dear handsome_feng,

Is there any progress in dealing with https://bugs.debian.org/909729 ?
The fix for the issue looks trivial yet it is pretty important since
it is one of the blockers of Debian's python3.7 transition.

I'm wondering if you could look into it and fix the problem soon;
please let me know if there's any doubts.
