Hi,

the Ubuntu bug entry has a quite good explanation on this,
including a possible fix:

Launching henplus only prints the help message and exits.
This is a known bug upstream that has been fixed in 0.9.8:

Currently, henplus is totally unusable in Debian testing/unstable due to this 
bug.
