Thank you for your contribution. I ended up uploading the package to the
archive directly and it should show up in the NEW queue shortly.

Hello,

I am not sure if you uploaded the said package to mentors.debian.net,
but it doesn't show up there right now. Packages do expire after a
while, so it's possible you uploaded it and I just missed it.

Considering how long it took for me to reply here, maybe it would be
better if you put the package somewhere else where I have time to review
it before it gets removed... Please do keep me in CC when replying so
that I see your reply!

thanks,

a.

Hi Kozo-sama,

I remember seeing your previous comment, but I was a little confused by
the language in the post. :) My japanase is basically non-existent,
unfortunately.. so I got distracted!

I would be happy to sponsor the upload of your package into Debian. I
encourage you of first submitting it on https://mentors.debian.net/

From there I can easily review the package and if it passes some basic
tests. Then I would built it on my own and upload it for you after a few
last tests.

How does that sound?

Thank you for your patience,

A.

Hi Antoine

I'm Kozo Nishida. (I'm not Debian developer.)
I also want percol Debian package.

How is the status of this ITP?
I created a tentative debian directory and pull-requested it to mooz.
https://github.com/mooz/percol/pull/52

If this helps you, please use the debian directory and replace the
maintainer from me to you.

Thanks

Bug#754972: ITP: percol -- adds flavor of interactive filtering to the traditional pipe concept of UNIX shell

2014-07-16 Thread Antoine Beaupré
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: percol
  Version : ? see https://github.com/mooz/percol/issues/45
  Upstream Author : Masafumi Oyamada stillped...@gmail.com
* URL : https://github.com/mooz/percol
* License : GPL2+
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : adds flavor of interactive filtering to the traditional
pipe concept of UNIX shell

percol is an interactive grep tool in your terminal. percol

 * receives input lines from stdin or a file,
 * lists up the input lines,
 * waits for your input that filter/select the line(s),
 * and finally outputs the selected line(s) to stdout.

Since percol just filters the input and output the result to stdout,
it can be used in command-chains with | in your shell (UNIX
philosophy!).

I'd be happy to maintain this collaboratively.

Note that I found out this package through:

https://github.com/peco/peco

... which is similar, but with less features and written in go.
