The CTTE decision announced is about df including "i" in the "units" output
when asked for IEC output, an issue only related to the decision which needs to be made. As the
example shows, the issue will present even when binary prefixes were not requested.
While the results of your poll suggest the CTTE is willing to accept ambiguity
and inconsistency, it does not condone usage of invalid units.
Should you feel the need to publicize the results of future votes on mailing
lists, thanks for avoiding debian-devel-announce, which is meant for important
announcements.
