It isn't used anymore anywhere in dpkg but I will add amd64
none-the-less since it explicetly states that it lists the architectures
that are in the official archive for sid.

is no longer in Debian at all). I'm not sure what (if anything) uses the
file, because if it was used, amd64 probably would've been added to it
