Bug#497449: libc6: iconv -f latin9 doesn't work any more
found 497449 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge6 severity 497449 minor thanks On Mon, Sep 01, 2008 at 10:07:05PM +0200, Samuel Thibault wrote: Package: libc6 Version: 2.7-13 Severity: normal Hello, I have a script that used to do iconv -f latin9, but with the current version of libc6, that charset is not recognized any more (though latin[1-8] still are). From what I see, latin9 has never been supported, at least this does not work in sarge or in etch. latin-9 is supported though, but I agree this is a lack of consistency with other latin[1-8] charsets.
