The GPL do require that all source files carry a prominent copyright
and license notice.  So the upstream author has to mark these files
are GPL'd.

h... thats what I thought.

I submitted a bug report to the upstream authors asking them to fix the
problem.

However, I see that somebody else already has an ITP for the package, so
I will let him work out these problems ;-)
