Upgrade mit apt-get
Probleme? Mail an [EMAIL PROTECTED] (engl)

poff seems to be not permanent
If I kill a running pppd/ stop a connection by running poff with or without the the -a option I am able to reconnect only for a few minutes. After a few minutes more I must execute poff again to run pon again succesfully. It looks like a pppd was started automatically. Btw from time to time I get a bus error by running poff. Regards Marc

On Wed, May 17, 2000 at 02:53:39PM -0400, Bart Szyszka wrote: I'm very confused about KDE2's stance within the Debian tree? One set of people say that it'll definitely be included in there (if so, when?), while another set insist that it won't because of the licensing issues. Can anyone provide a definite answer (with proof? A link to a web site with info on that?)? Simple, neither KDE 1.2. nor 2.0 are integrated in Debian 2.2 aka potato. The distribution is in a frozen state for some time. Nothing thats not there now won't be added in the future. Only bugs will be handled. If you are interested in the license issue, you may find something in the archieve of debian-devel. Apart from that, you can add software packages from outside the 'official' distribution on ftp.debian.org and mirrors to your tree. You add the resource to /etc/apt/sources.list and apt will do the rest For KDE on Debian look at: http://kde.tdyc.com/Debian/ -- Marc Meier [EMAIL PROTECTED]

bashrc for xdm

wmcdplay and tray-locking
As much as I like the wmcdplay-programm, the locking of the drivetray sometimes is a real nightmare. IMO it makes no sense to lock the tray even when the drive is empty or a data CD is insert. Is there a patch available to remove this missbehavior? Regards Marc

So I reload the files again from the site and I built again the medias. It's still wrong. Do you know this problem and the solution to apply ? I haven't tried the bo base-disks for some time now (the newest hamm disks work great), but it sounds like a problem with your floppy-disks. Reformat them before you write the images or choose another set of disks. Alternatively try to download the disk-images from another server. FvwmWinList in hamm-fvwm
After installing a hamm.system my fvwm configuration no longer works as expected FvwmWinListFocusFore/Back has no effect and the icon text is left justified instead of centered as default. Not a huge problem but it works with fvwm 2.0.45-BETA-4 in bo. Marc -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello everyone... I was just looking at KDE's website (http://www.kde.org), and was very impressed with some of the things I saw. I know it is still in alpha, but does anyone have experiance with how stable it is on Debian? I also saw that it is availible in deb package form... The debian package is fairly old. I strongly recommend you to download the actual tar.gz source distribution. I've used KDE on S.u.S.E. 5.0 and RedHat 4.2. It can be compiled without problems and is very usable even for an alpha release. A german version of debian, JF Lehmanns debian gnu/linux, also contains KDE. So it should work with debian as well. Please note that you also need the Qt Library. Regards Marc -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
