Solid POP3 client
I am looking for a solid POP3 client for use with Debian. I know people have their personal preferences, etc., but I am looking specifically for a client that would provide a high level of functionality and options. When using Windoze, I used Pegasus Mail for years and liked it a lot. Selective mail downloads, highly configurable, good functionality, etc. I've read that some versions of Wine can handle Pegasus, so that was an option I was considering. However, I would like to use a true Linux package and just make the switch from Win-based apps altogether.Any suggestions based on the above thoughts/criteria? Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.

None that I know of. There are CLI apps, though, in the archive for that. If you store your data in IMAP, then you could pick/choose which client you like. cron+fetchmail+postfix+spamassassin+maildrop+courier-imap makes a great email system, and gives you ultimate flexibility. For example, during the Sid X.org 7.0 transition, my GUI got borked for a couple of days. Sonst wirds unübersichtlich und umständlich. (Isses ja so schon ;-) ). Ulrich

Beinahe, ich will aber nicht das er die Messages löscht, die sollen nur auf dem Server bleiben. Hi, ich suche nen pop3-client ala fetchmail, der mir die Möglichkeit bietet Mails grösser als xKb nicht automatisch runterzuladen sondern mich zu fragen (Angabe von From:, To:, Subject:) ? Gibts sowas? Optimal wäre, wenn der trotzdem automatisch laufen könnte, und mir bei zu grossen Mails ne Mail zustellt, so dass ich dann per Hand starten und nachprüfen kann... Awww, don't be shy! :-) Actually, fetchmail is quite easy to setup. And once you've got things set up nicely, it is a breeze. I am happy using fetchmail and mutt. Does anyone know of a good POP3 client for Linux/X? Something like Eudora or Pegasus in Windoze...? I just want to beable to check multiple mail boxes easily. (Its a pain in netscape mail).
