I configured my X11 to use the 35 standard PS type1 fonts from URW that comes with gs 4.x and later. Just symlink these files into e.g., /usr/local/X11/lib/X11/fonts/urw and run type1inst to get the files fonts.dir und fonts.scale. If someone is interested I could email the fonts.dir, fonts.scale, and a shell script making the symlinks. BTW: I hope the license of URW for Aladdin allows this usage of these fonts. Netscape has some funny understanding of HTML. This is from their homepage: FONT SIZE=-2 POINT-SIZE=8 This fontsize is far too small for my 1024*768 resolution, so I also can't read the text. I don't have problems with other sites who don't abuse the FONT tag. Also try to set the basefontsize to 14 (or more if you like) in Communicators preferences. There is a renderer for true type fonts, but you shouldn't need it if it is only Netscape's site which gives you trouble.
