No. 5 days is the minimal time for a medium priority upload to unstable to
percolate to testing.

Any word on when woody will have an installable gnumeric?

Gnumeric has been updated in sid a couple of times in the past
few days. I am told that sid - woody typically takes two weeks
if all goes well, so maybe in two weeks.

I've had gnumeric (0.64-1) running in woody for several months without
problems. I don't recall having to install any non-woody packages to
get it to install, but I have installed several unstable packages in
other instances and possibly one of these was needed for gnumeric
without my realizing it.

If you have it installed already, there's no problem. If you want to install
it for the first time on a woody machine, most likely you can't, as the
current woody package depends on libgal4 which is no longer present in
woody.

It depends on the number of Severity normal bug reports filed for it, and
the urgency field specified for the upload. At the moment, all such bug
reports have been fixed and the latest upload (0.70-0.1) was urgency
medium (as upstream recommends upgrading to it to fix a major annoyance
with 0.69), which may cut the time for it to percolate down to woody to as
little as five days. That said, my priority is with getting the sid package
right, even if that means delaying having a usable version in woody.

Thanks Ray. I noticed that Sid's version of gnumeric depended on
xlibs 4.1. Does your time calculation (as little as 5 days)
  include the dependencies as well?
