alt ctrl T terminal not opening
Here's info about my system -Version- Kernel : Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (x86_64) Compiled: #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u2 (2017-06-26) C Library : Unknown Default C Compiler : GNU C Compiler version 6.3.0 20170516 (Debian 6.3.0-18) Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 9.0 -Current Session- Computer Name : xxx User Name : sherab Home Directory : /home/sherab Desktop Environment : Unknown (Window Manager: GNOME Shell) -Misc- Uptime : 6 hours, 52 minutes Load Average: 0.13, 0.22, 0.24 I've tried the Tweak tool - couldnt find anything there Tried the Keyboard - managed to find a list of things that already have shortcuts assigned too but no option of opening terminal. most peculiar Hopefully this is enough to go on for those willing to help cheers

In Gnome 3, go to settings ( top right corner where those icons are click, buton with key and screwdriver ), then go to keyboard. Scroll all down to bottom, you will find + sign. Click it and you will be able to assign custom shortcut.

Using Stretch with GNOME 3 I am unable to add shortcut to open terminal. suggestions are welcomed.
