Es ist zufälligerweise ein Verzeichnis, aber das ist egal. Wenn man hingegen zufälligerweise gerade in /etc ist, so macht die shell aus dem lilo* ein lilo.conf, und übergibt an find: find / -name lilo.conf Auch nicht das was man will. Darum ist es richtig was Rainer geschrieben hat. Aber weil das so ist, nämlich, daß es ein bash und kein find-Problem ist, wird man in den manpage vergebens nach die Anführungsstrichen suchen. Ich hoffe, daß ich nicht noch mehr verwirrt habe, sondern ein wenig aufgeklärt, was von der bash gemacht wird.
