Description : object graph serialization framework for Java

Kryo is a fast and efficient object graph serialization framework for Java.
The goals of the project are speed, efficiency, and an easy to use API.
The project is useful any time objects need to be persisted, whether to a
file, database, or over the network.
 .
Kryo can also perform automatic deep and shallow copying/cloning.
This is direct copying from object to object, not object-bytes-object.

This package is needed for 1.4 Gradle release.

MinLog is a Java logging library. Key features:
  * Zero overhead Logging statements below a given level can
be automatically removed by javac at compile time.
This means applications can have detailed trace and debug logging
without having any impact on the finished product.
  * Simple and efficient The API is concise and the code is
very efficient at runtime.
  * Extremely lightweight The entire project consists of a single Java file
with ~100 non-comment lines of code.

ReflectASM is a very small Java library that provides high performance
reflection by using code generation. An access class is generated
to set/get fields, call methods, or create a new instance.
 .
The access class uses bytecode rather than Java's reflection,
so it is much faster. It can also access primitive fields via
 bytecode to avoid boxing.

Bug#622960: ITA: freemind -- Java Program for creating and viewing Mindmaps

2013-02-10 Thread Willem van den Akker
Hi,

Simply because:
-first it is already in Debian and needs a maintainer;
-secondly, I think freemind is a nice piece of software and it works
for me. I someone
needs more modulair software then freeplane is the choise.
-third: freeplane adds an additional 52MB extra (java) software. So
why should I need that?

If someone can work with Gedit, why install Libreoffice? ;)

Just my 2 cts

I have good experiences in C, some less in Java but that wont be

Can you please elaborate why you think that we need both freemind and
 freeplane in Debian? Quoting from
 http://freeplane.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page:

Freeplane was created because of problems with the popular open source
mind mapping program Freemind. Freeplane has been refactored from
Freemind to make its code and packages more modular, make it easier
for new software developers to contribute to Freeplane development,
and to release new versions of Freeplane more often.

Standalone source package for images will be beneficial for outher puzzle

like js-nature-photos.

Regarding libre-jigsaw application IMHO it's no match to palapeli or xjig

Debian) not to mention ugly Java implementation.

Packaging images however makes a lot of sense.

That makes sense. I can change the package. As for getting the images from
upstream, the author sent high resolution copies to me, I'll see if he's
interested in hosting those on his site.

Regarding libre-jigsaw application IMHO it's no match to palapeli or
xjig

I'll take a closer look ad palapeli and xjig. Can you be more specific re
'ugly Java implementation'?

Thanks,

The comparison between gedit and libreoffice does not apply as they do
not, unlike freeplane and freemind, stem from a common codebase.
