You probably have two input devices in your xorg.conf, one listening on
/dev/input/mice and another one on /dev/psaux. But the /dev/psaux is
actually included in /dev/input/mice, so all events are reported twice
duplicated. If fixing xorg.conf does not help, please send your config
 and log.
Yes, that was the problem, I wonder how one of those got there.
However leaving /dev/input/mice dind't solve completely the problem, I
had to
leave /dev/psaux to get everything working.

Thanks. Cheers.

Bug#443503: Mouse double clicks always

2007-09-21 Thread Jorge González González
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.3+2
Severity: important

It happens since I updated all the xorg packages some days ago (17th
Sep.). I tried with PS/2 mouses and USB with the same result. I also
tried the packages in experimental. It's visible from the very moment
the system loads GDM.

No, it probably doesn't help since those are the default anyway, so DRI
would still be enabled (see in the log). You should add an explicit
Disable dri in the modules section.
Ok, I added:
Disable dri
to module, and:
Option NoDRI
to device.

With DRI disabled the GDM screen is not as wide as it was but it works.
However the mouse is a bit crazy it always click twice and the Desktop
becomes almost unusable (it also happens with vesa driver).

Any clue?

Cheers.

Bug#443059: GDM and the keyboard freezes while trying to load xwindows

2007-09-18 Thread Jorge González González
Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Version: 1:6.6.193-3

When the system launches GDM after starting the computer, if the video
driver is ati the screen goes black, like if there was no signal, and
the keyboard doesnt respond. With the video driver vesa there is no
problem.

It happens since I upgraded xserver-xorg-video-ati (and many other xorg
packages due to yesterdays upgrade).

Running Linux 2.6.21-1-686 #1 and libc6 2.6.1-5.
I have an ATI RADEON 7000 graphics card.
